• INTRODUCTION
Educational research is a new field of research so that
are characterized by increasing readiness to apply method s
of research to the solution of educational problems . Britain
and America can very safely be termed as poineer countries in
educational research
• RESEARCH NEEDS IN EDUCATION
• Research needs in the philosophy of education,
• Research needs in the sociology of education
• Research needs in educational psychology
• Research needs in history of education
• Research needs in the philosophy of education
in the field of philosophy of education there is need for
working on the problems,
1 ] Charting out the various possible meaning of a concept ,
2] defining the various sense in which it is used in different theories
within a single branch of inquiry and also among the different
branches of inquiry .
3] studying the implications of their sense in various
educational theories.
4] To examine educational generalization ,assumption , and theories,
from the behavioral sciences,
• Research Needs in the sociology of education
• There are certain important aspects of education like the
formation of educational aims and policies,
• The problem like the teacher's role as an agent of social
changes areas of socio –cultural lag in school education,
creativity in India teachers moral obstacle of democratic
,secular, and international spirits in students,
• Some other areas would be, attitude, hobbies , students and
teachers , co- curricular activity , wastage and stagnation at
the school stage.
• Research needs in educational psychology
• To study why there is such poor effort and such low out put.
• Research used to improve teachers efficiency and also it
makes classroom effectiveness
• Students were influenced by the out side forces of school, for
this study we use research
• Research needs in history
• Historical research in education can be viewed from two
angles at the very out side , the limitations of the work
already done in the field of history of education and its
requirements,
