1. My dear friend,
I’d like to speak of land
In which you must defend
the slightest bend.
Where spreading is the steppe,
Where’s done the first your step,
Where mother’s shortest nap
Was broken by your joyful clap.
5. Our village starts from here. The historians affirm
that the first people who settled this place were
from Chernihiv province. They began to built their
huts from clay and osier, which was too much on
the shores of the river. That’s why our village was
called Lozovatka. The first streets were on the
coasts of the Ingulets river

12. The church of Nick Wonderworker is a very interesting place for tourists. It was built in
1787.For its building was given money. Some sacred books and the bell were bought.
According to the villagers’ stories there were three places for the building of the
church. It was chosen with the help of oxen. They were loaded with stones for temple .
When they reached the first place oxen did not want to stop. The same was with the
second place. But when they came up to the third place oxen stopped and nobody could
forced them go further. That’s why it was built at that place.
13. The second church is over 270 year old. It is situated on the other side of the river. It is
called ‘‘Spaso-Preobrazhenska.’’ It is the oldest in Krivorozhian district. It is not very big
but it is beautiful.
The church was made of special bricks. The bricks are not so wide as modern ones. The
walls of the church are very hard. The builders used a special mix with eggs for the walls.
Nobody knows the secret of this mix now. In the church there are beautiful pictures on the
walls. And there you can see some pictures from the 14 th centure.

19. The anthem of our school
Words: A.M. Vichkanova.
Music: A. Y. Martyniuk.
Translation: N.N. Nadelniuk.
The Ingulets rolls waves bit by bit
Between the rocks and
the shores to the Dnipro
We've grown up and thanks our fate
That the happy time rolled on here
Losovatka the village my native
And the fields that have reached horizon
You are proud of sons and your daughters
Who defended their land to the end
You are blooming from year to year
We are proud of you every day
You are Motherland our native
Losovatka my beautiful land.
