Is Diabetes Mellitus ( Dm ) Is A Serious Public Health...
Introduction : Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a serious public health problem in the world that has an adverse effect on the quality of life of several people
(Al–Sarayra & Khalidi, 2012; Azinge, 2013)1. It is highlighted for morbidity and mortality (Khattab, Khader, Al–Khawaldeh, & Ajlouni, 2010; Sagar,
2011)2. World Health Organization (WHO) defines DM as metabolic disorder characterized by chronic hyperglycemia with disturbances of
carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism that results from disturbances in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. Diabetes is associated with
reduced life expectancy; the significant morbidity associated with diabetes arises from micro vascular complications, increased risk of macro vascular
complications (like ischemic heart disease, stroke, and peripheral vascular disease), and diminished quality of life3 (WHO, 1999).
Jordan is one of the 19 nations of the International diabetes federation MENA region , 415 million individuals have diabetes in the world and more
than 35.4 million individuals in the MENA Region; by 2040 this will ascend to 72.1 million, there were 374,100 affected of diabetes in Jordan in
2015, Number of deaths in adults caused by diabetes about 3,075 compared with (20–79 years), ( 4,100 ) of adult people diagnosed with DM ,
prevalence of diabetes mellitus in Jordanian adults (20–79 years ) is 9.1 % recently4 (International Diabetes Federation, 2015 )
The prevalence of DM is predicted to rise in the

What Caused The Six Day War
The Six Day War was a war that took place on June 5–10 in 1967. The war resulted in the Israelis capturing 5 locations. This was thought to be
impossible as the chances of them doing so was very small, almost nothing. The victory for Israel took everyone for surprise, including the Israelis. It
seemed as if though it was a miracle. The war all comes down to the Israelis redirecting the water flow from the Jordan River to the Negev Desert. The
Arabs clearly didn't like it. This resulted in bombings from Israel to Syria after the the Arabs began threatening and implementing their policy of
diverting the water from Israel. Things began to get heated with Israel and their neighbors. Most of the tense relations were coming from Golan

Arab-Israeli Conflict Essay
During the time of the Mandatory Palestine, the Balfour Declaration signed in 1917, stated that the government of Great Britain supported the
establishment of a "Jewish national home" in Palestine. This exacerbated tensions between the Arabs living in Mandate Palestine and the Jews who
emigrated there during the Ottoman period. Signed in January 1919, the Faisal–Weizmann Agreement promoted Arab–Jewish cooperation on the
development of a Jewish national homeland in Palestine and an Arab nation in a large part of the Middle East, though this event had little to no effect on
the conflict.
In 1920, the San Remo conference largely endorsed the 1916 Anglo–French Sykes–Picot Agreement, allocating to Britain the area of present day Jordan

The British–appointed Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al–Husseini, led opposition to the idea of turning part of Palestine into a Jewish state.
In search for help in expelling British forces from Palestine, thus removing the enforcer of the Zionist enterprise, the Grand Mufti sought alliance
with the Axis Powers. The response of the British government was to banish the Mufti (where he spent much of World War II in Germany and
helped form a Muslim SS division in the Balkans), curb Jewish immigration, and reinforce its police force. The Jewish leadership (Yishuv) "adopted
a policy of restraint (havlaga) and static defense in response to Arab attacks" and criticized the British for "what they regarded as Britain's retreat from
the Balfour Declaration and its conciliation of Arab violence." It was at this time that critics of this policy broke away from the Hagana (the
self–defense organization of the Yishuv) and created the more right–wing militant Irgun, which would later be led by Menachem Begin in 1943. For a

Essay Hydro-Politics Along the Jordan River
Hydro–Politics Along the Jordan River
One of the most important yet under–appreciated conflicts in the Middle East is over water resources along the Jordan River. As population and
demand for water in the riparian states of Israel, Jordan, Palestine, and Syria have sky–rocketed, water scarcity in the desert region has reached crisis
proportions. In response, leaders on all sides have entered into a dialogue, known as "hydro–politics," that has been characterized by an unyielding
attitude of political conservatism set against an understanding that regional cooperation is the riparians' surest salvation. The answer lies in a
combination of hydro–diplomacy and technology. With the aid of countries andNGOs outside of the regions, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

By 1969, the Israelis had completed the National Water Carrier, a pipeline project that pumps water from the Sea of Galilee south and west and
currently supplies one–quarter of the country with water. The Arab nations have repeatedly called Israeli water harvesting practices the surest sign of
"Zionist imperialism."1 Today, this language is more muted, but its undertones pervade the region's political dialogue. The past is never forgotten in
the Middle East, and an understanding of hydro–politics among the Jordan riparians requires a keen awareness of this fact.
Regardless of the past, the importance of water in the Middle East as a source of conflict has been continually under–appreciated both within the region
and abroad. As Boutros Boutros–Ghali warned before taking his position as Secretary General of the United Nations in 1992, "the next war in our
region will be over water, not politics."2 Water has a deeply spiritual importance in the Middle East. For over 1,500 years, Islamic law has dictated
punishments to those denying access to or polluting water, because it holds water as reverent and spiritually pure. The Zionist tradition holds a similar
reverence for the land and its resources.3
Since the end of the Cold War, water has assumed a more prominent place in the diplomatic relations between Israel, Jordan, and the other Middle
Eastern states. Beginning

Imagine living in a nation were the government wasn't on your side. Everything that the government did was in there best interest without any
consideration of the people. Imagine that your government was in a conflict with another government and this government had the power to say if you
were getting food eat and water to drink. Imagine that in this so called nation the kids instead or going to school would rather throw rocks at members of
the other nation instead of going to school. Imagine that one day that that kid that was throwing rocks might one day strap a bomb to himself and go

After the Jews formed an army and began fighting the British stopped backing the Arabs and the issue was left up to the UN. The UN created the
Partition Plan also know as Resolution 181. In this plan 25 percent of the Palestine Jewish state was offered to the Jews and the rest was going to
be an Arab state. The Jews accepted this offer but the Arabs turned it down because they wanted it all(United). Since there wasn't a settlement here
there would be another war. This time when the Arabs attacked the other Arab countries, Egypt, Syria, and Jordan joined in on the attack. This
battle broke out in 1967 and was know as the Six Day War because it only lasted six days. This war backfired on the Arab nations at the end of the
war the Jewish Palestine state, now called Israel, was victorious and took over the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and The Sinai Peninsula. The Gaza Strip
and West Bank are Arab states and the Sinai Peninsula was part of Egypt.
Unfortunately, Israel was now an "occupier" of 850,000 Palestinian Arabs from
both West Bank and the Gaza Strip. These Arabs would refer to themselves as
refugees from the previous war of 1967. . . , Israel is responsible for bringing about
some of their own problems. The Arabs were packed and ready to leave when

The Pope, Jordan, and Religious Tourism
Case One: The Pope, Jordan, and Religious Tourism pg. 39 For JTB the best target market would be pilgrims from foreign countries, where there
would be large amount of Christian pilgrims interested in coming to Jordan to see Jordan River where Jesus was baptized. Targeting Christians in
Jordan would be not as effective as in Rome, because in Jordan there are only 4% residents with Christian religion. In my opinion Nayef Fayez should
have a wider view on world and target people places where people would be most interested, instead of spending marketing budget in near
demographic regions. For example if they would target European Countries and America's where there are a lot of Christians they would have much

Blond hair has nothing to do with a religion and interest in religion. Nitches have to be defined that would bring benefit from both company and

done. For example if we take as an example Christians, from Rome, age of 60+ with income of 2000 Euro's as money they can spend per month
for leisure activities, we would have to find out which way is best way to communicate with the potential costumer, and importantly how? Internet

not realistic, and easy to end conversation for potential customer, as well as in some countries marketing by phone is illegal. Who are their opinion
leaders? Most likely they look up and have good relationships with priests in the nearby churches where they go, there handouts can be distributed
or information spread directly from priests. That would give us Place and a way to promote our product to this particular segment. Product itself
would have to be a description where they can stay, what services are available, would they enjoy an early morning walk to the secret place or a ride

Essay on Jordan Is a Land Loaded with History
Thesis: Jordan is a country with great complexity that includes location and geography, demography, communication, morale, laws and any other
capabilities and habits as acquired by man and woman in the Jordanian society. The land is commonly known for its desert land but the history and the
consideration therein when it comes to its people, society, culture, language and power and authority rests on its ancient and preserved sayings from
Mohammed.
I.Jordan is a land loaded with history. It has been home to some of man's earliest settlements, villages and ruins of the world's greatest culture that can
still be seen today. A. Jordan is about 35,475 square miles (91,900 square kilometers).

IV.The separation between Jordanians, Bedouins, and Palestinians is clear in this society. Jordanians are defined as residents who have lived east of
the Jordan River since before 1948. Palestinians are defined as residents whose birthright extends back to areas west of the Jordan River. People of
Bedouin descent are considered to be of the purest Arab stock. (The Existing Question By Remi Kanazi)
A.Jordan is the only Arab country where Palestinians can become citizens.

Government Jordan is a constitutional monarchy, meaning that there is a king or queen that is the official head of state, but the elected officials run
the government. This means that the head of state isn't in full control of the country because elected officials run the government. It was first based on
the constitutional promulgated on January 8th, 1952( Michigan State University, 1994–2014). Then on October 1st, 2011, it was amended (Michigan
State University, 1994–2014). The kings job is to execute the laws and also sign them, but if (Lynch, Jordan's cabinet shuffle) both houses of
parliament oppose the kings power, it can be overridden by 2/3rds of their votes (Michigan State University, 1994–2014). The king is also supposed to
say when to fight or declare war, he can also sign amendments, and command arm forces into battle when said so (Michigan State University,
1994–2014). Right now, the current head of state is King Abdullah II ibn Al–Hussein and the head of government is Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour.
Fifty–five members of the upper house were appointed for a four year term by the king. In July of 2007, Jordan held elections for councils and
mayors and 20% of the council seats that year were reserved for women (Michigan State University, 1994–2014). Then on November 2009, the king
dissolved parliament (Michigan State University, 1994–2014). After that in November 9, 2010 new elections (Michigan State University,

Water in the Middle East
For long time Israel was suspected in embezzlement of South Lebanese water during the occupation of water called safety strip from 1978 to 2000. In
the report of UN experts presented at the annual meeting of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia ( ESCWA) in Amman in May
1994 , it was reported that since the establishment of this zone "Israel was annually pumping water from Litani to its territory with pumps installed at
the bridge of Khardali, in a volume of 150 million m3". " Another 65 million m3 allegedly was taken from Wazzani and Hasbani .
The edition of the U.S. Defense Department "Lebanon : a review of the country" ( 1989 ) also states that " in the late 1970's – early 1980's Lebanese
reported a plea of derivation of water from the small tributaries of the Hasbani to Israel" (Middle East International, в„– 458, 10 September 1993).
Western and Arab media published an information that the scale of water derivation to Israel were much more, only from the Litani– up to 55 % of
the annual discharge . Among all the details in particular, it was reported that Israeli experts have installed shut–off valves at the water pumping station
on the river, which allows switching part of the flow in a specially built 12– kilometer water pipeline leading to Hasbani river which feeds the Jordan
River and through the Galilee lake (Ibid).
Most of the accusations against Israel had no documentary evidence, it can be indirectly indicated by the fact that Lebanon has never

Analysis Of Joachim Patinir 's Triptych, The Penitence Of...
Netherlandish use of triptychs–three distinct art pieces that simultaneously exist as individual images and as a collective picture–usually were presented
as devotional images and altarpieces. Joachim Patinir's triptych, The Penitence of Saint Jerome (c. 1512–1515, Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY),
employs both the same form of traditional triptychs and the Netherlandish tradition of extended panoramic landscapes; however, the triptych breaks
traditional convention. The three separate panels share the same landscape which allows the figures to exist in the same pictorial space. This maintains
an unbroken continuation of the landscape, which adds not only to the content within a single panel, but to the entire narrative of the triptych. Yet,
each individual panel is also worthy of its own analysis and discussion. The left panel depicts the first of three saints, Saint John the Baptist, in the midst
of his signature baptizing of Christ. A river flows from the furthest reaches of the landscape down to the bottom frame, with Christ standing thigh–deep
in the water, a dove alighting from God perched in the clouds in the top left. Saint John kneels over him on the riverbank while a group of people
huddle in the distance behind the baptism scene. In traditional style, the triptych simultaneously depicts a central scene as well as past and future
narrative events–present here as Saint John preaching chronologically before the actual baptism of Christ. The central, larger panel

Changing Perspectives Of My Life
Changing Perspectives As I took my first step outside the door the warm midnight air greeted me like an old friend. It was a pleasant contrast to
the cold stagnant air on the plane. We had just flown 16 hours with only one layover and my legs had become achy and my neck stiff. "hold on
tight to your bags!" Bro. Powers, our youth leader, called out as we walked across the tarmac to go inside. Apparently all of the eager gentlemen
attempting to take our bags for us were not doing so out of the kindness of their heart. It was common for men to forcefully offer to "help" you take
your bags to your car and then insist on a tip. All but one of our group heeded the warning and held on to their bags. One crafty little man managed to

My life changed so much for the better after that night. In a life full of bad decisions, it only took one good decision to turn it all around. It's kind
of funny to think about looking back on it all. That one single moment changed everything. A year later I found myself presented with the unique
opportunity to join a youth group going over to work at an orphanage in Africa. The evangelist who preached the service when I got saved had
started a mission in Africa some years ago preaching the gospel and bringing food and other supplies where needed. Over the years that mission
had expanded to building an orphanage and starting churches in remote areas and even starting a Bible school to teach them about God and to be
preachers in their own villages. Our hotel was located Moshi, a small but somewhat thriving city near the Kilimanjaro National Park. Despite being
dry and very dusty there were cafes and restaurants and even a few electronics stores. Not exactly what I was expecting I'll admit. We might have the
misconception that all of Africa is uncivilized and everyone lives in huts and wears rags for clothes and while this might be true for some areas it
certainly is not true for most. The streets were littered with vendors selling anything from shoes to art made with banana leaves and business men
catching the bus to work. After an early breakfast at the hotel we piled into our van

Balfour Declaration Of Independence
Israeli–European relations against the backdrop of European colonialism/imperialism are rooted in the history before the foundation of the state of
Israel.
As is widely known, British diplomacy generated three contradicted documents/agreements. In 1915, Britain admitted Arab people's independence who
were under control of Othman empire, in return to their cooperation with Britain to fight against Othman, through letters exchanged between Hussein
Ibn Ali, Sharif of Mecca, and Henri McMahon, British High Commissioner to Egypt, which is known as the Hussein–McMahon Correspondence. The
Balfour Declaration, however, was a statement from the British foreign minister Arthur Balfour to Lord Rothschild, the leader of the British Jewish
community, in 1917, which expresses the British government's positive attitude toward "the establishment in the land of Palestine a national home for
the Jewish people." On the other hand, Britain made the Sykes–Picot Agreement secretly with France in 1916, which defines the spheres of influence
and control of the two countries in the Middle East. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Water In the Middle East: Prospects for Conflict and...
Reasons and origins of the conflict for water are dating back in the late 40s and the Arab–Israeli conflict. More precisely, the countries involved that
represent potential conflict are Israel and Syria, as well as Israel and Palestine. For example, what can be mentioned here are Israeli aspirations to keep
tight control over the economically important areas. This is directly linked to the water issues and diverting the water from one to another region. Other
Arab countries are strongly opposing such shift as this will increase Israel's industrial and agricultural capacities and, consequently, will encourage
further Jewish immigration to the country. There have been plans to prevent such discourse, but Israeli`s military strikes have... Show more content on

Lebanon, by the way, among those 'lucky' ones – where everyone has about 1,400 m3. While the global average – 1700 m3/year. Worth to mention, in
everyday life, people naturally do not need half that amount , but these figures are laid as the needs of the agricultural and industrial consumption per
capita. Therefore, if water is scarce , there is a deceleration of economic development in the most water–intensive industries and agriculture.
Obviously, all this has a negative impact on national security, especially food . But in the late 1990's each Syrian could count only for 500 m3,
Israelis received less than 450 m3 of water, a Jordanian – 180 m3, a Palestinian – even less.

Lawrence of Arabia bolstered the Allied Powers through the capture of Damascus by reinforcing General Allenby's forces and in the process he

Army of the Turks east of the Jordan River. "To accomplish that, Allenby needed Lawrence, who seemed to be the only person who could get the
Arabs to fight in an organized way" (Korda 379). Considering Allenby's request, Lawrence altered the proposed strategy to have the Arabs attack Ma'an

These tribes rallied with Allenby's army and resulted in a defeat of the Ottomans at Deraa (Mack 163). Importantly, this success at Deraa diminished
the already dwindling Turks forces, setting them up for defeat at Damascus. On September 19th, the day that Allenby captured Damascus, the Turkish
forces were bombarded for fifteen minutes at 4:30 am by 385 guns. This full–scale infantry assault with 'artillery barrage' drove the Turks from their
bunker. "So firmly had the Turks been convinced that the assault would be toward the Jordan River that they had thinned out their infantry on the
coastal plain, and their defenses quickly crumbled" (Korda 411). "At about nine in the morning on Tuesday, (October 1,) Lawrence and Stirling drove
into Damascus to find scenes of jubilation. Nuri Shaalan and Nasir had already entered the city, and the narrow streets of the old city of Damascus
were "aflame with joy and enthusiasm'" (Barr 297). After the successful assault on Damascus, presses reported that 'Colonel Lawrence played a part of

Israel's Geography Essay
Israel is one of the world's smallest countries with a total area of 7,850 square miles. Since its independence from British rule in May 1948, Israel has
become home to some of the holiest sites of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. Since 1948, Israel has been in numerous short wars with neighboring

Israel has five major geographical regions, which consist of the Mediterranean coastal plain, the central and northern highlands, the Plain of Esdraelon,

baptized. At the end of the baptism, the group swam around and had a great time. On day four I went to the Qumran cave and Dead Sea. I floated in the
Dead Sea. After that, we went to En Gedi but they had closed the gate and we couldn't hike up the mountain, but I did see 6–7 Ibex in the area. Then
after that, the funniest thing happened. I saw a camel parked in a parking space at a grocery store.
On day five I was in a bus and went to Jerusalem. On day six I spent all my time around and in Jerusalem. In Jerusalem I visited many places. I went
to the Western Wall which represents a very sacred and holy place for the Jewish people. After just looking at it I was able to go in the Western Wall
tunnels. I also went into Hezekiah's Tunnel that was the length of 6 football fields in water. I also went to the upper room which was very peaceful.
After that, I went to the Garden Tomb it was very peaceful there.
After two weeks I was home sick and ready to go home. It was a fun two weeks

Parting, The Jordan River
Parting the Jordan River
In the spring of the year both Jesus and John the future Baptist, cousins (cousins, not brothers), had reached the age of seven. The boys wandered far
from Nazareth and along the Jordan River just south of the big lake, they decided to play 'Let My People Go' featuring Moses and Pharaoh. Little
Johnnie the Baptist as Moses, cried out in a loud, raspy voice, "Let my people go!" spraying spit as he spoke. And Jesus, as hard–hearted Pharaoh,
replied in a harsh voice, "You mangy dogs, you slaves! No, no, no! Pharaoh has spoken, so let it be done."
"Well, myGod will show you something!" shouted Moses, a.k.a. Little Johnnie the Baptist, with flecks of spit flying and he pushed his way past

Little Johnnie waved and flexed his arms in a frantic effort to return the waters, but, alas, to no avail. Jesus, concerned that this might mean real
trouble, set his child's mind and his child's faith to work, but, again alas, he too, was unable to cause the water to flow again in its riverbed.
Jaws hanging open, both boys blinked hard several times in disbelief. Then Jesus took a cautious step down into the riverbed, but Johnnie stood rooted
to his spot on the bank.
"Come on, let's look," encouraged Jesus.
"I can see it from here."
"No, c'mon!"
"No!! My no means no!!!"
"It'll be okay."
"NO!!!" He said it so strongly that he surprised Jesus and even himself at the strength of his statement. Then Johnnie shamefully admitted, "I am afraid
of water." "There's nothing to be afraid of," said Jesus holding out his hand.
"I c–c–can't," said Johnnie.
"What do you mean, 'you can't'?" asked Jesus.
"I can't swim," confessed Johnnie.
"You don't have to swim," said Jesus brightly. "Come on, take my hand."
So Johnnie, overcoming his feeling of dread, clasped Jesus' hand and timidly stepped off the bank into the riverbed.
Fear soon gave way to healthy curiosity and they gazed at the parted waters and then ventured down into the riverbed to see this wonder at close hand.
They marveled at a school of silvery fish just inside the sparkling blue–green waters of the lake. A turtle with its stubby little legs swam across the

The Land Of The Jordan River
After the nation of Israel had fled Pharaoh 's domination in Egypt and just before crossing the Jordan River into the Promised Land, Moses sent
twelve spies, one from each tribe, to assess the new land. After 40 days, they returned telling stories of a great land flowing with milk and honey that
was inhabited by a powerful people living in large well–fortified cities. Caleb, one of the twelve, a courageous and loyal colleague of Joshua, silenced
the crowd. Standing before Moses, Caleb declared boldly, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it."
The other ten spies filled with fear scoffed at both Joshua and Calab, "We can 't attack these people. They are stronger than we are."
The ten then spread lies among the people about the new Promised Land that Joshua and Caleb had just explored.
Only Joshua sided with Caleb. Both of them tore their clothes in anger before the assembled crowd saying, "The land we passed through and
explored is exceedingly good. If the Lord is pleased with us he will lead us into that land and give it to us. Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do
not be afraid of the people of the land." But the Israelites had already forgotten God 's promise and angrily threw stones at them. Consequently, that
rebellious and sinful generation of Israelites found only death in the desert.
Joshua and Caleb possessed a pure Spirit. They had courageously risked their lives in order to speak the Truth. They alone remembered how God

Fresh Water Conflict in Middle East Essay
Water is a finite and limited resource in the Middle East of inestimable value. As such, competition for control of rivers, basins, and valleys with water
flow is inevitable. Due to this, long–term peace between Israel and its neighbors, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon will be partially contingent on the
allocation of freshwater. Israel has shown in the past that it will attempt to control and source water with its interest first rather than on the region as a
whole. As such, any long–term peace is highly dependent on how Israel and its neighbors handle their limited water resources.
Of the vast quantities of water on this planet, only about three percent is freshwater and thus suitable for human consumption. The largest portion of

However what is considered fair or respectful is vastly open to interpretation. The Israeli interpretation is Israel first; ensuring it has the water it needs
to not only survive but grow economically. From the beginning, even before the foundation of the Jewish state, Zionists had plans on how best to use
water from both the Jordan and Litani rivers. They expected a Transjordan state including both banks of the Jordan River along with land in
modern–day Lebanon which includes the Litani River. These two rivers were central to plans of how to support the expected Jewish National
Homeland. Once the borders were set in 1948 however, the east bank of the Jordan and the Litani River were in foreign countries and as such
beyond reach. Further exacerbating this was the young nation of Transjordan which also relied heavily on the Jordan River for its water supply.
Resentment over the newly formed Jewish state was strong in the Middle East especially after the mass removal and migration of Palestinians either
fleeing or being forced out by operations such as Plan Dalet. As Haddadin states, the resulting war was demographic and territorial in nature but the
water issue was also dragged into the "geography of the conflict." Water become part of the issue in the conflict and as such was necessary

Egypt more to Blame than Israel for the Outbreak of War...
There are different historical views on what really provoced the war of 1967, the Israelis would clearly blame the Egyptians and point at Nasser's
agressions as the main provocation leading to the war. Another view is that Nasser did not have the intention to fight Israel at that point, but when the
UN troops in the Sinai were withdrawn suprisingly after Nasser's demand, Nasser had to make true his big promises to defeat Israel to the other Arab
nations. He wanted to keep his reputation as the ultimate leader of the pan–Arabian league and he could only do so by moving his troops towards
Israel, which no longer had a protection buffer by the UN troops in the Sinai. Another view is that "the Six Day War was the result of Egyptian– Israeli

France and Britain had lost their role in the Middle East after 1956, nevertheless, other foregn influences became strong in the area: Soviet–American
rivalry dragged the Cold War into the region. Russia hoped that if it would spread its influence in the Middle East, it would be able to break the
encirclement around the USSR, which stoped it from spreading. The USA had made pacts to condemn communism from spreading, the Baghdad pact
of 1955 included Turkey, Iran, Iraq Pakistan and Britain. By winning over the Arab states, Russia expected to break this belt and be able to take
Communism all over the world. Russia's interest in the Middle East alarmed the United States, so they started taking an interest themselves in the
region, sympathizing most with Israel, due to Egypt being too unpredictable in its loyalities.
After 1956 the Israelis were forced to give back all territorial gains and return to the borders agreed in the 1949 armistice, but in received in return the
support of the UNEF in the Gaza Strip and the Sinai. Passage through the Gulf of Aqaba was assured by the presence of the UNEF at Sharm
al–Sheikh, supported by the US, which guaranteed to step in if the right of international passage was violated. Between 1957 and 1959 Israel could
even send cargo ships through the Suez canal, but as soon as controls diminished, Nasser

Genesis
The book of Genesis is one of the better–known books of the Bible. Not only is it the first book of the Bible it is also the first documentation of our
existence. The book was originally written in Hebrew with the title of bereshit, which means "in the beginning." (Bible.org) While the author of
Genesis is never actually named, it is believed that Moses wrote the book of Genesis. In Acts 7:22 Luke recaps that Moses was trained in the "wisdom
of the Egyptians" and was the only one who was prepared to integrate and understand the manuscripts and oral narratives in the Pentateuch. Only Moses
was qualified enough to be given the task of writing Israel's ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The sea is known for its violent storms because of the difference in temperatures. Hills and mountains that reach nearly 2,000 feet high on the east
side bound the sea. Another contributing factor to the storms is that the Sea of Galilee is only about 200 feet at its deepest, which causes the wind to
create violent waves. The Sea of Galilee is where Jesus performed many of His miracles. Four of apostles–Peter, Andrew, James, and John came to
Jesus after he stilled a ragging storm; this is also, where Jesus and Peter walked on water. The Sea of Galilee also is the backdrop for feeding 5,000
people with only a loaf of bread and two fish. This is also, where Mary of Magdala was from. The Sea of Galilee is present throughout the Bible it is
referenced in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Number, Deuteronomy, Joshua, and 1 Kings.

The Role Of Water Security In The Jordan River Basin
Abstract
The scarcity, depletion and polluting of water in one of the world's driest regions, is a problem that has perplexed the nations of the Middle East for
decades. The riparian states of the Jordan River Basin include Israel, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. These states are in a constant struggle over securing
water rights for their respective states. The conflict over water is also overshadowed by the Arab–Israeli issues and the subsequent territorial questions.
While territory is often at the forefront of the issues, securing water has also become a contributing factor in the conflicts of the past, and will continue
in the future. Choices of conflict or cooperation will have to be made, given the diminishing amounts of water available. ... Show more content on

Many countries are also highly dependent on water that originates outside their borders; the water diversion provided by dams for countries that are
downstream exacerbates an already serious problem. The diversion of river systems is an area of international concern, the nature and extent of such
interdependency is already extensive: 145 countries share over 261 international river basin. As demand increases, and as indigenous sources of water
become fully utilized or exhausted, the only alternatives are likely to be international (Dolatyar, 2006). Ironically, the very solution of one country's
scarcity, plunges another into water shortage, this is the reason why water security is one of the most crucial foreign policy considerations of a globally
connected economic and political atmosphere.
Water as a source of conflict
When one thinks of turmoil in the Middle East, oil is often the first thought, however, water has begun to be a problematic area, both internal and
international. However, the cause for water scarcity does not only depend on conditions within its borders (Giordano, Giordano & Wolf , 2004).Israel's
water source comes from the Jordan River, an elongated valley in the central Middle East, and is shared with Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Palestine
(Lowi, 1995). The Hasbani River, the Dan River, and the Banyas River are the three tributaries of the Jordan River. Although the Jordan Basin extends
into five states, approximately 80 percent

The Intrigue of the Book of Danie
Book of Daniel The Book of Daniel is one of the most intriguing books found in the Bible. To know God's plan for the future it is necessary that you
understand the book of Daniel. Daniel can be divided into two segments of six chapters each. Chapters 1–6 are made up primarily of a historical
narrative that explains how Daniel came to be in King Nebuchadnezzar's royal court and his rise to power. Chapters 7–12 are of an apocalyptic genre in
which Daniel receives visions concerning the future and the kingdom of God. The book of Daniel implies that Daniel was its author in a few key
passages, such as 10:2 and 12:4. Jesus Christ also attributed to this indication via the quote "Daniel the Prophet" in Matthew 24:14. In questioning
of the original date for the composition of the book, two views prevail: 1) The book was written in the 2nd century BC in Judea or 2) It was
written in the 6th century BC in Babylon by a Jewish exile name Daniel. The book sets its own historical timetable of composition around 535 BC
through such references as Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, and Cyrus (Hindson & Towns, 2013). The key theme throughout the book of Daniel is the
reassurance of God sovereignty over the "kingdoms of men" (Daniel 4:17, KJV). The purpose of this book was to of encourage faithful living among
God's people by demonstrating His faithfulness and giving hope to those exiled from Jerusalem. God blesses those who put their faith in him in spite
of danger or difficulty. According to

Review Of Sean Covey's Seven Habits Of Highly Effective Teens
Do you remember struggling in school? In your relationships with others? With yourself? Do you remember how hard it was to be a teenager? If
only there was some sort of instruction manual or guide. Well, Sean Covey attempted to write one such book, drawing information from his father's
book and directing it towards the teenager. The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens offers great advice for teenagers wanting to have more peace
and control over their lives.
One of the most helpful advice Sean gives is to focus on your "Personal Bank Account (PBA)." This idea coincides with the "sharpen the saw" habit,
even though Sean introduces the PBA at the beginning of the book rather than with the seventh habit. It's important that the information of a PBA is at
the beginning because we must first "win the private victory." ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He called it the "Relationship Bank Account (RBA)." Some of the things Sean suggests to making deposits into your RBA is keeping promises,
doing small acts of kindness, being loyal, listening, and setting clear expectations. It's important to note that many of these things are also on the PBA
list. Building others also builds yourself. Sean gave the example of the "two seas in Palestine." It's an excerpt from Bruce Barton's The Man Nobody
Knows. This excerpt describes how full of life and joy the Sea of Galilee is compared to the poisoned Dead Sea. Both of these seas are fed by the River
Jordan, but the Sea of Galilee is also as an outlet; it gives whereas the Dead sea only receives. Barton compares this to people and how giving will
benefit others as well as yourself, yet there is no reward for being selfish. I always try to give as much as I can. I love Mother Teresa's quote, "Let no
one ever come to you without leaving better and happier." It inspired me to take Sean's advice about RBA more seriously and do everything I could to
be a light in other people's

Forgiveness Meekness and Forgiveness Two of the most crucial lessons on my spiritual journey have been ones on meekness and forgiveness.
Hard lessons from a hard teacher. I have not gotten my diploma yet, but I am still on the Potter's wheel. I am still being shaped and molded into
that beautiful vessel he has created me to be. I have written extensively about my own personal experiences on both subjects, but here I share what
for me are the salient points Meekness The subject popped up on my curriculum during a time when I worked in an environment where I was privy

Geography Of Iraq Research Paper
We decided to do our Middle East Project on the country of Iraq. Iraq is sort of triangle shaped, with mountains, desert, and a large river valley. It is
bordered on the east by Iran, on the south by Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, on the west by Syria and Jordan, and on the north by Turkey. Iraq is almost 20
times the size of New Jersey. The geography ofIraq falls into four main regions; the desert west of the Euphrates river, Upper Mesopotamia between
the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, the northern highlands of Iraqi Kurdistan, and Lower Mesopotamia, which includes the plains that extend from Tikrit to
the Persian Gulf. From earliest times Iraq was known as Mesopotamia, which means the land between the rivers, because such a large part of the

The rivers are at their lowest level in the fall and flood in the spring. There is a constant battle between flood control with the construction of dams and
other preventative measures. But the dams constructed to offset the flooding have severely diminished the water flow during the dry or low periods.
Just recently, a Coral reef was discovered off the Iraqi coastal waters, covering an area of the Persian Gulf, at the mouth of the Shatt al–Arab river. The
coral reef was discovered by Iraqi and German expeditions of scientific scuba divers in 2012 and 2013.
Iraq holds a special distinction in the history of geography as a clay tablet which is generally accepted as the earliest known map was found during an
excavation, about 200 miles north of Babylon, in 1930. The map dates back to 2500–2300 BC or possibly earlier.

  • 1. Is Diabetes Mellitus ( Dm ) Is A Serious Public Health... Introduction : Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a serious public health problem in the world that has an adverse effect on the quality of life of several people (Al–Sarayra & Khalidi, 2012; Azinge, 2013)1. It is highlighted for morbidity and mortality (Khattab, Khader, Al–Khawaldeh, & Ajlouni, 2010; Sagar, 2011)2. World Health Organization (WHO) defines DM as metabolic disorder characterized by chronic hyperglycemia with disturbances of carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism that results from disturbances in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. Diabetes is associated with reduced life expectancy; the significant morbidity associated with diabetes arises from micro vascular complications, increased risk of macro vascular complications (like ischemic heart disease, stroke, and peripheral vascular disease), and diminished quality of life3 (WHO, 1999). Jordan is one of the 19 nations of the International diabetes federation MENA region , 415 million individuals have diabetes in the world and more than 35.4 million individuals in the MENA Region; by 2040 this will ascend to 72.1 million, there were 374,100 affected of diabetes in Jordan in 2015, Number of deaths in adults caused by diabetes about 3,075 compared with (20–79 years), ( 4,100 ) of adult people diagnosed with DM , prevalence of diabetes mellitus in Jordanian adults (20–79 years ) is 9.1 % recently4 (International Diabetes Federation, 2015 ) The prevalence of DM is predicted to rise in the ... • 2. What Caused The Six Day War The Six Day War was a war that took place on June 5–10 in 1967. The war resulted in the Israelis capturing 5 locations. This was thought to be impossible as the chances of them doing so was very small, almost nothing. The victory for Israel took everyone for surprise, including the Israelis. It seemed as if though it was a miracle. The war all comes down to the Israelis redirecting the water flow from the Jordan River to the Negev Desert. The Arabs clearly didn't like it. This resulted in bombings from Israel to Syria after the the Arabs began threatening and implementing their policy of diverting the water from Israel. • 3. Arab-Israeli Conflict Essay During the time of the Mandatory Palestine, the Balfour Declaration signed in 1917, stated that the government of Great Britain supported the establishment of a "Jewish national home" in Palestine. This exacerbated tensions between the Arabs living in Mandate Palestine and the Jews who emigrated there during the Ottoman period. Signed in January 1919, the Faisal–Weizmann Agreement promoted Arab–Jewish cooperation on the development of a Jewish national homeland in Palestine and an Arab nation in a large part of the Middle East, though this event had little to no effect on the conflict. In 1920, the San Remo conference largely endorsed the 1916 Anglo–French Sykes–Picot Agreement, allocating to Britain the area of present day Jordan , the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The British–appointed Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al–Husseini, led opposition to the idea of turning part of Palestine into a Jewish state. In search for help in expelling British forces from Palestine, thus removing the enforcer of the Zionist enterprise, the Grand Mufti sought alliance with the Axis Powers. The response of the British government was to banish the Mufti (where he spent much of World War II in Germany and helped form a Muslim SS division in the Balkans), curb Jewish immigration, and reinforce its police force. The Jewish leadership (Yishuv) "adopted a policy of restraint (havlaga) and static defense in response to Arab attacks" and criticized the British for "what they regarded as Britain's retreat from the Balfour Declaration and its conciliation of Arab violence." It was at this time that critics of this policy broke away from the Hagana (the self–defense organization of the Yishuv) and created the more right–wing militant Irgun, which would later be led by Menachem Begin in 1943. • 4. Essay Hydro-Politics Along the Jordan River Hydro–Politics Along the Jordan River One of the most important yet under–appreciated conflicts in the Middle East is over water resources along the Jordan River. As population and demand for water in the riparian states of Israel, Jordan, Palestine, and Syria have sky–rocketed, water scarcity in the desert region has reached crisis proportions. In response, leaders on all sides have entered into a dialogue, known as "hydro–politics," that has been characterized by an unyielding attitude of political conservatism set against an understanding that regional cooperation is the riparians' surest salvation. The answer lies in a combination of hydro–diplomacy and technology. With the aid of countries andNGOs outside of the regions, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By 1969, the Israelis had completed the National Water Carrier, a pipeline project that pumps water from the Sea of Galilee south and west and currently supplies one–quarter of the country with water. The Arab nations have repeatedly called Israeli water harvesting practices the surest sign of "Zionist imperialism."1 Today, this language is more muted, but its undertones pervade the region's political dialogue. The past is never forgotten in the Middle East, and an understanding of hydro–politics among the Jordan riparians requires a keen awareness of this fact. Regardless of the past, the importance of water in the Middle East as a source of conflict has been continually under–appreciated both within the region and abroad. As Boutros Boutros–Ghali warned before taking his position as Secretary General of the United Nations in 1992, "the next war in our region will be over water, not politics."2 Water has a deeply spiritual importance in the Middle East. For over 1,500 years, Islamic law has dictated punishments to those denying access to or polluting water, because it holds water as reverent and spiritually pure. The Zionist tradition holds a similar reverence for the land and its resources.3 Since the end of the Cold War, water has assumed a more prominent place in the diplomatic relations between Israel, Jordan, and the other Middle Eastern states. After the Jews formed an army and began fighting the British stopped backing the Arabs and the issue was left up to the UN. The UN created the Partition Plan also know as Resolution 181. In this plan 25 percent of the Palestine Jewish state was offered to the Jews and the rest was going to be an Arab state. The Jews accepted this offer but the Arabs turned it down because they wanted it all(United). Since there wasn't a settlement here there would be another war. This time when the Arabs attacked the other Arab countries, Egypt, Syria, and Jordan joined in on the attack. This battle broke out in 1967 and was know as the Six Day War because it only lasted six days. This war backfired on the Arab nations at the end of the war the Jewish Palestine state, now called Israel, was victorious and took over the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and The Sinai Peninsula. Targeting Christians in Jordan would be not as effective as in Rome, because in Jordan there are only 4% residents with Christian religion. In the report of UN experts presented at the annual meeting of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia ( ESCWA) in Amman in May 1994 , it was reported that since the establishment of this zone "Israel was annually pumping water from Litani to its territory with pumps installed at the bridge of Khardali, in a volume of 150 million m3". " Another 65 million m3 allegedly was taken from Wazzani and Hasbani . The edition of the U.S. Defense Department "Lebanon : a review of the country" ( 1989 ) also states that " in the late 1970's – early 1980's Lebanese reported a plea of derivation of water from the small tributaries of the Hasbani to Israel" (Middle East International, в„– 458, 10 September 1993). Western and Arab media published an information that the scale of water derivation to Israel were much more, only from the Litani– up to 55 % of the annual discharge . Among all the details in particular, it was reported that Israeli experts have installed shut–off valves at the water pumping station on the river, which allows switching part of the flow in a specially built 12– kilometer water pipeline leading to Hasbani river which feeds the Jordan River and through the Galilee lake (Ibid). • 11. Analysis Of Joachim Patinir 's Triptych, The Penitence Of... Netherlandish use of triptychs–three distinct art pieces that simultaneously exist as individual images and as a collective picture–usually were presented as devotional images and altarpieces. Joachim Patinir's triptych, The Penitence of Saint Jerome (c. 1512–1515, Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY), employs both the same form of traditional triptychs and the Netherlandish tradition of extended panoramic landscapes; however, the triptych breaks traditional convention. The three separate panels share the same landscape which allows the figures to exist in the same pictorial space. This maintains an unbroken continuation of the landscape, which adds not only to the content within a single panel, but to the entire narrative of the triptych. Yet, each individual panel is also worthy of its own analysis and discussion. The left panel depicts the first of three saints, Saint John the Baptist, in the midst of his signature baptizing of Christ. A river flows from the furthest reaches of the landscape down to the bottom frame, with Christ standing thigh–deep in the water, a dove alighting from God perched in the clouds in the top left. Saint John kneels over him on the riverbank while a group of people huddle in the distance behind the baptism scene. In traditional style, the triptych simultaneously depicts a central scene as well as past and future narrative events–present here as Saint John preaching chronologically before the actual baptism of Christ. The evangelist who preached the service when I got saved had started a mission in Africa some years ago preaching the gospel and bringing food and other supplies where needed. Over the years that mission had expanded to building an orphanage and starting churches in remote areas and even starting a Bible school to teach them about God and to be preachers in their own villages. Our hotel was located Moshi, a small but somewhat thriving city near the Kilimanjaro National Park. Despite being dry and very dusty there were cafes and restaurants and even a few electronics stores. Not exactly what I was expecting I'll admit. In 1915, Britain admitted Arab people's independence who were under control of Othman empire, in return to their cooperation with Britain to fight against Othman, through letters exchanged between Hussein Ibn Ali, Sharif of Mecca, and Henri McMahon, British High Commissioner to Egypt, which is known as the Hussein–McMahon Correspondence. The Balfour Declaration, however, was a statement from the British foreign minister Arthur Balfour to Lord Rothschild, the leader of the British Jewish community, in 1917, which expresses the British government's positive attitude toward "the establishment in the land of Palestine a national home for the Jewish people." More precisely, the countries involved that represent potential conflict are Israel and Syria, as well as Israel and Palestine. For example, what can be mentioned here are Israeli aspirations to keep tight control over the economically important areas. This is directly linked to the water issues and diverting the water from one to another region. These tribes rallied with Allenby's army and resulted in a defeat of the Ottomans at Deraa (Mack 163). Importantly, this success at Deraa diminished the already dwindling Turks forces, setting them up for defeat at Damascus. On September 19th, the day that Allenby captured Damascus, the Turkish forces were bombarded for fifteen minutes at 4:30 am by 385 guns. This full–scale infantry assault with 'artillery barrage' drove the Turks from their bunker. "So firmly had the Turks been convinced that the assault would be toward the Jordan River that they had thinned out their infantry on the coastal plain, and their defenses quickly crumbled" (Korda 411). "At about nine in the morning on Tuesday, (October 1,) Lawrence and Stirling drove into Damascus to find scenes of jubilation. Since its independence from British rule in May 1948, Israel has become home to some of the holiest sites of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. Since 1948, Israel has been in numerous short wars with neighboring countries fighting violence escalated by Palestinian groups and militias. Situated in the upland region of south–western Syria, the Golan Heights borders southern Lebanon, north–western Jordan, and north–eastern Israel. According to the BBC profile on the Golan Heights, the region is a rocky plateau overlooking southern Syria and its capital Damascus from the Israeli vantage point up to 40 miles north, thus serving as a strategic site for Israel to monitor the activities of the Islamic State and Syrian rebel groups that have their bases in the area. Although the region was under Syrian control, Israel seized it from Syria in the 1967 Six–Day War which Syria, along with Egypt and Jordan, lost. To this day, the loss of the Golan Heights is an open wound in Syria and it was in the Six–Day War that the newly elected and very young Hafiz al–Assad was jolted into maturity. I told them I wanted to go to Israel. What I didn't know is that they were already thinking about talking to my mom about the possibility of going to there. Well, before I knew it my parents had agreed to let me go to Israel with my grandparents and a man named Dr. Bookman. After that my mom and I spent the rest of the summer learning about the places I would go. We put together a journal identifying some of the places with pictures and verses. The boys wandered far from Nazareth and along the Jordan River just south of the big lake, they decided to play 'Let My People Go' featuring Moses and Pharaoh. Little Johnnie the Baptist as Moses, cried out in a loud, raspy voice, "Let my people go!" spraying spit as he spoke. And Jesus, as hard–hearted Pharaoh, replied in a harsh voice, "You mangy dogs, you slaves! No, no, no! Pharaoh has spoken, so let it be done." Jesus, concerned that this might mean real trouble, set his child's mind and his child's faith to work, but, again alas, he too, was unable to cause the water to flow again in its riverbed. Jaws hanging open, both boys blinked hard several times in disbelief. Then Jesus took a cautious step down into the riverbed, but Johnnie stood rooted to his spot on the bank. "Come on, let's look," encouraged Jesus. "I can see it from here." "No, c'mon!" "No!! My no means no!!!" "It'll be okay." "NO!!!" He said it so strongly that he surprised Jesus and even himself at the strength of his statement. Then Johnnie shamefully admitted, "I am afraid of water." "There's nothing to be afraid of," said Jesus holding out his hand. "I c–c–can't," said Johnnie. "What do you mean, 'you can't'?" asked Jesus. "I can't swim," confessed Johnnie. "You don't have to swim," said Jesus brightly. "Come on, take my hand." So Johnnie, overcoming his feeling of dread, clasped Jesus' hand and timidly stepped off the bank into the riverbed. Fear soon gave way to healthy curiosity and they gazed at the parted waters and then ventured down into the riverbed to see this wonder at close hand. They marveled at a school of silvery fish just inside the sparkling blue–green waters of the lake. A turtle with its stubby little legs swam across the

The Land Of The Jordan River After the nation of Israel had fled Pharaoh 's domination in Egypt and just before crossing the Jordan River into the Promised Land, Moses sent twelve spies, one from each tribe, to assess the new land. After 40 days, they returned telling stories of a great land flowing with milk and honey that was inhabited by a powerful people living in large well–fortified cities. Caleb, one of the twelve, a courageous and loyal colleague of Joshua, silenced the crowd. Standing before Moses, Caleb declared boldly, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it." The other ten spies filled with fear scoffed at both Joshua and Calab, "We can 't attack these people. They are stronger than we are." The ten then spread lies among the people about the new Promised Land that Joshua and Caleb had just explored. Only Joshua sided with Caleb. Both of them tore their clothes in anger before the assembled crowd saying, "The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. If the Lord is pleased with us he will lead us into that land and give it to us. Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land." But the Israelites had already forgotten God 's promise and angrily threw stones at them. Consequently, that rebellious and sinful generation of Israelites found only death in the desert. • 23. Fresh Water Conflict in Middle East Essay Water is a finite and limited resource in the Middle East of inestimable value. As such, competition for control of rivers, basins, and valleys with water flow is inevitable. Due to this, long–term peace between Israel and its neighbors, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon will be partially contingent on the allocation of freshwater. Israel has shown in the past that it will attempt to control and source water with its interest first rather than on the region as a whole. As such, any long–term peace is highly dependent on how Israel and its neighbors handle their limited water resources. Of the vast quantities of water on this planet, only about three percent is freshwater and thus suitable for human consumption. The largest portion of that is ... The Israeli interpretation is Israel first; ensuring it has the water it needs to not only survive but grow economically. From the beginning, even before the foundation of the Jewish state, Zionists had plans on how best to use water from both the Jordan and Litani rivers. They expected a Transjordan state including both banks of the Jordan River along with land in modern–day Lebanon which includes the Litani River. These two rivers were central to plans of how to support the expected Jewish National Homeland. Once the borders were set in 1948 however, the east bank of the Jordan and the Litani River were in foreign countries and as such beyond reach. Further exacerbating this was the young nation of Transjordan which also relied heavily on the Jordan River for its water supply. Resentment over the newly formed Jewish state was strong in the Middle East especially after the mass removal and migration of Palestinians either fleeing or being forced out by operations such as Plan Dalet. There are different historical views on what really provoced the war of 1967, the Israelis would clearly blame the Egyptians and point at Nasser's agressions as the main provocation leading to the war. Another view is that Nasser did not have the intention to fight Israel at that point, but when the UN troops in the Sinai were withdrawn suprisingly after Nasser's demand, Nasser had to make true his big promises to defeat Israel to the other Arab nations. He wanted to keep his reputation as the ultimate leader of the pan–Arabian league and he could only do so by moving his troops towards Israel, which no longer had a protection buffer by the UN troops in the Sinai. France and Britain had lost their role in the Middle East after 1956, nevertheless, other foregn influences became strong in the area: Soviet–American rivalry dragged the Cold War into the region. Russia hoped that if it would spread its influence in the Middle East, it would be able to break the encirclement around the USSR, which stoped it from spreading. The USA had made pacts to condemn communism from spreading, the Baghdad pact of 1955 included Turkey, Iran, Iraq Pakistan and Britain. By winning over the Arab states, Russia expected to break this belt and be able to take Communism all over the world. Russia's interest in the Middle East alarmed the United States, so they started taking an interest themselves in the region, sympathizing most with Israel, due to Egypt being too unpredictable in its loyalities. Another contributing factor to the storms is that the Sea of Galilee is only about 200 feet at its deepest, which causes the wind to create violent waves. The Sea of Galilee is where Jesus performed many of His miracles. Four of apostles–Peter, Andrew, James, and John came to Jesus after he stilled a ragging storm; this is also, where Jesus and Peter walked on water. The Role Of Water Security In The Jordan River Basin Abstract The scarcity, depletion and polluting of water in one of the world's driest regions, is a problem that has perplexed the nations of the Middle East for decades. The riparian states of the Jordan River Basin include Israel, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. These states are in a constant struggle over securing water rights for their respective states. The conflict over water is also overshadowed by the Arab–Israeli issues and the subsequent territorial questions. While territory is often at the forefront of the issues, securing water has also become a contributing factor in the conflicts of the past, and will continue in the future. Choices of conflict or cooperation will have to be made, given the diminishing amounts of water available. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many countries are also highly dependent on water that originates outside their borders; the water diversion provided by dams for countries that are downstream exacerbates an already serious problem. The diversion of river systems is an area of international concern, the nature and extent of such interdependency is already extensive: 145 countries share over 261 international river basin. As demand increases, and as indigenous sources of water become fully utilized or exhausted, the only alternatives are likely to be international (Dolatyar, 2006). Ironically, the very solution of one country's scarcity, plunges another into water shortage, this is the reason why water security is one of the most crucial foreign policy considerations of a globally connected economic and political atmosphere. Water as a source of conflict When one thinks of turmoil in the Middle East, oil is often the first thought, however, water has begun to be a problematic area, both internal and international. However, the cause for water scarcity does not only depend on conditions within its borders (Giordano, Giordano & Wolf , 2004).Israel's water source comes from the Jordan River, an elongated valley in the central Middle East, and is shared with Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Palestine (Lowi, 1995). • 28. The Intrigue of the Book of Danie Book of Daniel The Book of Daniel is one of the most intriguing books found in the Bible. To know God's plan for the future it is necessary that you understand the book of Daniel. Daniel can be divided into two segments of six chapters each. Chapters 1–6 are made up primarily of a historical narrative that explains how Daniel came to be in King Nebuchadnezzar's royal court and his rise to power. Chapters 7–12 are of an apocalyptic genre in which Daniel receives visions concerning the future and the kingdom of God. The book of Daniel implies that Daniel was its author in a few key passages, such as 10:2 and 12:4. Jesus Christ also attributed to this indication via the quote "Daniel the Prophet" in Matthew 24:14. In questioning of the original date for the composition of the book, two views prevail: 1) The book was written in the 2nd century BC in Judea or 2) It was written in the 6th century BC in Babylon by a Jewish exile name Daniel. The book sets its own historical timetable of composition around 535 BC through such references as Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, and Cyrus (Hindson & Towns, 2013). The key theme throughout the book of Daniel is the reassurance of God sovereignty over the "kingdoms of men" (Daniel 4:17, KJV). The purpose of this book was to of encourage faithful living among God's people by demonstrating His faithfulness and giving hope to those exiled from Jerusalem. God blesses those who put their faith in him in spite of danger or difficulty. According to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One of the most helpful advice Sean gives is to focus on your "Personal Bank Account (PBA)."
