2. Project 1 : Festivals and celebrations around the world

You must design and create a stand to promote holidays
(feasts) in a city or foreign country. Make your posters,
videos,etc. This work must include minimum 3 festivals
and celebrations and foods (2 or 3 snacks).
In order to do it, you must select first a city or country,
then research information on holidays and snacks.
On the day of the presentations, you must decorate your
stand.

You must choose a city or country to carry out their
project. After selecting a city/country, in this first
session, choose 2 or 3 snacks popular in that
city/country. They must research information about
the origin of those snacks; ingredients required in
their preparation, and how they are cooked.

Task 1: Research information about the location of the
country or city and its geographical features
Task 2: Choose a map of the city/ country and write a short
description of the location of the place: Where is the country
or city located? (Use passive voice).
Task 3: Go to the Internet and look for information about
the geographical features
Task 4: Present a short description using information in task
3 (poster, video, etc).

Task 1: Research about the most important or well-known
festivals and celebrations of the city or country.
Task 2. Present a short description of each festival (poster,
video, etc) .
Decorate your stand about the country or city with posters or
anything that tells about it. You will give short presentations
to students, teachers and, visitors.
