English project holidays and festivals last version
1. PROJECT OVERVIEW
National and international Hollidays and festivities
METHODOLOGY
This proposal is going to have six phases. It is going to use Task Based learning and Project-based learning . Task based learning that is based
on asking students to carry out meaningful tasks that requires communicative activities which encourage the use of English to communicate ideas
while placing greater emphasis on fluency than on grammatical accuracy (Ellis, 2004; Brumfit, 1984) and Project-based learning, the students
develop their projects as they relate to their communityand the real world, In this case, their localities. The students need time to investigate, collect,
analyse and use information, while the teacher needs to focus his/her attention on providing support and motivating students. The final goal of a
project is for groups of students to present it to the class and the other grades, putting into practice their linguistic and sociolinguistic competences,
as well as 21 century skills.
