“A Teacher’sCreed”
I believe that teaching is not a profession but a
vocation, demanding dedication and a deep sense of
commitment.
I believe that I am a co-worker with God, in the
divine task of molding and forming the young and
growing minds and hearts entrusted to my care.
I believe that I must not differentiate between my
students, and that I must not show any personal
preferences or dislikes.
I believe that I must not let my own problems,
frustrations and anxieties color and affect my work
and my attitude towards my students.
I believe that I must be courteous, humane and
kind in all my dealings with my colleagues and my
students.
I believe that I must cooperate with the
management and the authorities, respecting their
decisions and rules, yet never hesitating to express
my own point of view.
I believe that having willingly chosen to be a
teacher, I must also be willing to respond sincerely
with the effort, dedication and zeal, that teaching
demands and deserves.
A
Teachers’
Story
“The Friend List”
One day a teacher asked her students to list the
names of the other students in the room on two sheets of
paper, leaving a space between each name..
Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they
could say about each of their classmates and write it down.
It took the remainder of the class period to finish the
assignment, and as the students left the room, each one
handed in the papers.
That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of
each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what
everyone else had said about that individual.
On Monday, she gave each student his or her list.
Before long, the entire class was smiling. "Really?" she
heard whispered. "I never knew that I meant anything to
anyone!" and, "I didn't know others liked me so much,"
were most of the comments.
No one ever mentioned those papers in class again.
She never knew if they discussed them after class or with
their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had
accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with
themselves and one another. That group of students moved
on.
Several years later, one of the students was killed in
Viet Nam and his teacher attended the funeral of that
special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a
military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so mature.
The church was packed with his friends. One by one,
those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The
teacher was the last one to bless the coffin.
As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as
pallbearer came up to her. "Were you Mark's math
teacher?" he asked. She nodded: "yes." Then he said: "Mark
talked about you a lot."
After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates
went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father
were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher.
“We want to show you something," his father said,
taking a wallet out of his pocket. "They found this on Mark
when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it."
Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn
pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped,
folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without
looking that the papers were the ones on which she had
listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had
said about him.
“Thank you so much for doing that," Mark's mother
said. "As you can see, Mark treasured it."
All of Mark's former classmates started to gather
around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, "I still
have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home."
Chuck's wife said, "Chuck asked me to put his in our
wedding album."
"I have mine too," Marilyn said. "It's in my diary"
Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her
pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and
frazzled list to the group. "I carry this with me at all times,"
Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued:
"I think we all saved our lists"
That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried.
She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never
see him again.
The density of people in society is so thick that we
forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when
that one day will be.
So please, tell the people you love and care for, that
they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too
late.

“A Touching Story”
One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I
saw a kid from my class walking home from school.
His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of
his books, and I thought to myself, “Why would
anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must
really be a nerd.”
I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a
football game with my friends’ tomorrow afternoon),
so I shrugged my shoulders and went on. As I was
walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him.
They ran right up to him, knocking all his books out of
his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His
glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass
about ten feet from him.
Then he looked up, and I saw this terrible sadness
in his eyes. My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over
to him, as he crawled around looking for his glasses,
and I saw a tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses,
I said, “Those guys are jerks. They really should get a
life.”
He looked at me and said, “Hey thanks!” There
was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles
that showed real gratitude. I helped him pick up his
books, and asked him where he lived. As it turned out,
he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen
him before. He said he had gone to private school
before now. I would have never hung out with a
private school kid before. We talked all the way home,
and I carried his books.
He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I asked him
if he wanted to play football on Saturday with me and
my friends. He said yes. We hung all weekend and the
more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my
friends thought the same of him. Monday morning
came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books
again. I stopped him and said, “Boy, you are gonna
really build some serious muscles with this pile of
books every day!”
He just laughed and handed me half the books.
Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best
friends. When we were seniors, began to think about
college. Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I was going
to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends, that
the miles would never be a problem. He was going to
be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football
scholarship. Kyle was valedictorian of our class and I
teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to
prepare a speech for graduation. I was so glad it wasn’t
me having to get up there and speak.
On Graduation Day, I saw Kyle. He looked great.
He was one of those guys that really found him during
high school. He filled out and actually looked good in
glasses. He had more dates than me and all the girls
loved him. Boy, sometimes I was jealous. Today was
one of those days.
I could see that he was nervous about his speech.
So, I smacked him on the back and said, “Hey, big guy,
you’ll be great!” He looked at me with one of those
looks (the really grateful one), and smiled. “Thanks,”
he said.
As he started his speech, he cleared his throat,
and began.
“Graduation is a time to thank those who helped
you make it through those tough years. Your parents,
your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach but mostly
your friends. I am here to tell all of you that being a
friend to someone are the best gift you can give them. I
am going to tell you a story.”
I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told
the story of the first day we met. He had planned to kill
himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had
cleaned out his locker, so his Mom wouldn’t have to do
it later, and was carrying his stuff home. He looked
hard at me and gave me a little smile.
“Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me
from doing the unspeakable.” I heard the gasp go
through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy
told us all about his weakest moment. I saw his
Mom and Dad looking at me and smiling that same
grateful smile. Not until that moment did I realize
its depth.
Never underestimate the power of your
actions. With one small gesture you can change a
person’s life, for better or for worse. God puts us all
in each other’s lives to impact one another in some
way. Look for God in others.
“Friends are angels who lift us to our feet
when our wings have trouble remembering how to
fly.
I agree with this. Your one action can really
change a person’s life or motivate someone. And
friends are the most important part about your life.
A friend does have a major impact on you. Many
times i have found myself being depressed and
lonely. I don’t know if its hormones or just me. But
a message from a friend on what Sapp or Facebook
instantly makes me forget about my depression and
I’m all happy and cheerful again.
Aristotle said
“Manisby naturea socialanimal; an individual
whois unsocialnaturally and not accidentally is either
beneath our notice or more than human. Society is
something that precedes the individual. Anyone who
either cannot lead the common life or is so self-sufficient
as not to need to, and therefore does not partake of
society, is either a beast or a god. ”

“VENANCIO TRINIDAD SR. MEMORIAL SCHOOL”
Venancio Trinidad Sr. Memorial School was
formerly known as Talisay Elementary School. This
was constructed after the American Regime. The
school started with one classroom only which was
made of hut. There were only few pupils enrolled
and others were only forced bytheir parents to go to
school. There was only one class then and
gradually, the number of pupils had increased until it
had opened another grade level. Then as years
went by, another grade level was opened until
fourth grade.
The pupils were taught by those who
studied during the Spanish regime but
unfortunately, they had not graduated. That
was according to Dr. Venancio Trinidad Sr.,
former Director of Public Schools who
happened to be one of the pupils of the said
school.
Since the school had only
primary, the pupils were
encouraged by their parents to
continue their studies in thenearby
town were forced to walk until
barangay Ambulong.
As years went by, the number of pupils increased so they
looked for a wider and bigger area to put up a school. Fortunately,
a kind and understanding citizen from the town donated a lot in the
person of Mr. Gregorio Trinidad, father of the former Director of
Public Schools, Dr. Venancio Trinidad.
When Mr. Octavio Nicolas was elected as the
Municipal Mayor during the time of President Ferdinand
Marcos, one resolution luckily passed and approved by the
members of the Local Government to change the name of
the school from Talisay Elementary School to Venancio
Trinidad Sr. Memorial School to commemorate the former
Director of the Bureau of Public Schools, Venancio Trinidad
Sr. and to thank the donor of the lot where the school is
situated at present.
That time, Laurel District was still under the
district of Talisay until school year 1969-1970
when the Ministry of Education decided to have
them separated into two different districts.

“TheTime”
The student teacher felt nervous as she was deployed to Venancio
Trinidad Senior Memorial School, TalisayBatangas.
Exactly one in the afternoon, the student teacher entered the school
and looked for the principal; however, the principal was not around that
time. She decided to look for the guidance counselor but she was not there
as well. Few minutes passed, she met Mrs. Terewho informed her about the
purpose of why she was there.
They were lucky, that they finally met Mrs. Navarro the school
principal. Without long discussion, shegave them the privilege of choose
the grade they wanted to teach.
The student teacher chooses Grade 4levels. Then, Mrs. Navarro
introduced the cooperating teacher to the intern. Her name is Mrs. Aisa
Cacao Canlubo, 30 years of age from Aya, TalisayBatangas, and she was
teaching for almost eight years. She was teaching Mathematics and
AralinPanlipunan to different sectionswith 53 students each. She was
advising Grade IV- Venus, which was composed of 28 boys and 25 girls.
She introduced the student teacher in the class. It was obvious in her
energy that she wanted to teach the class. It was also the timethat students
called her “Ma’am Anjie”.
(2nd
Week December1,2015)
“GlossElegance”
Ma’am Aisa was holding a Mathematics book; then she give
the topic to her student teacher. The student teacher could not
explain her feelings. She was excited to make lesson plan,
instructional materials and power point. On the other hand, she was
also anxious since it would be her first time to teach Grade-IV
Venus.
Then hercooperating teacher announced that their practice
teacher would be teaching Mathematics on that day. She also
reminded the class to behave and to pay attention to the teacher.
With her signal, the student teacher went in front holding her things
and materials.
The first topic was about finding the area of an irregular
figure. The student teacher started to greet the class, followed by a
motivation. It was so nice teaching Mathematics. Sometimes there
were instances that students would be confused and would keep on
asking the teacher. She was able to handle it she explained the steps
and formulas on how to find the area of an irregular figure. She gave
more examples and exercises.
The topic was so complicated for their level; however she
was amazed that most of the class answered the assigned task
accurately.
The student teacher recalled that the most important virtue in
teaching is “learning from and learning with your students”.
(3rd
WeekDecember7,2015)
“40minutes”
The student teacher was not feeling well. Therefore Ma’am
Aisa continued the new topic in Mathematics. Since there will be no
classes for the next day, she gave another topic to the student teacher
about AralinPanlipunan. The student teacher was bothered about
how to teach the topic in just 40 minutes.
The student teacher delivered the discussion in
AralinPanlipunanjust fine. Another factor was when Ma’am Jessa, a
MAPEH teacher because she consumed 10 minutes of the subject.
She provided group activities, seatwork, and assignment before the
ten minutes ended. Actually, it was easy for the student teacher and
for the class to understand the lesson since the subject was in
Filipino and the class were attentively participating with the
discussion.
(4th
Week December14,2015)
“Nonavs.Party”
The students were all shouting because they heard the news
that the classes were suspended due to typhoon Nona, and Batangas
was in signal number 2.
The following days, the weather was not good and the student
teacher just watched the television to keep her updated.
The cooperating school celebrated their annual Field Day,
yearend party, and Christmas party too. The student teacher was glad
when she saw the faces of her students in their cute make-ups and
outfit. The smiles dictated how happy and excitement they felt to
celebrate the field day, and the Christmas party.
The students, the student teacher and her cooperating teacher
were happy celebrating the Christmas party. There were surprises,as
well as dance and song competitions. The said party was very
organized. The student teacher experienced how to become a judge
for the said competition. It was her very first time to be a judge in an
occasion. It was an honor for the student teacher to be a part of their
program.
(5th
Week January04,2016)
“Review”
The teachers in sections B, C, D and E gave some pointers to
review for the third periodical exams on Thursday. The cooperating
teacher was busy making the examsin other subjects;therefore, she
gave the class the chance to review in advance in some topic.
While the student teacher was busy arranging the test paper,
she secretly asked her class if they hadclarifications and problems
regarding the previous lesson in Mathematics and AralinPanlipunan.
She was willing to teach again if there were.
Most of the class had difficulties with the lesson in Math;
therefore; the student teacher provided a remedial class in
Mathematics and explained well some past lessons which was not
clear before.

“MTAP-3rd
Place”
The preparation for the MTAP Competition for public and
private school was held at the student teachers’ cooperating school.
The student teacher was busy delivering the soup to all
teachers who attended the said competition.
The participants in Grade IV- Venus won third place. She was
proud with those students especially to all VTSMS participants
because they won over the varieties of schools who
participated in the MTAP competition.
(Week7th
January18,2016)
“SectionE”
The student teacher must be a multi-tasking facilitator. She
taught in four sections. She was in the period of adjustment with her
students’ attitudes and intelligence level. It was difficult to teach
especially the lower sections that were usually cluttered, naughty,
and loud. There were studentswho are always standing and talking to
their seatmates aloud. That time, she wanted to go outside the
classroom and let the students continue their manner. She was
running out of patience. She was furious and tired of her students.
But, she felt pity for those students who wanted to listen,
teacher in she taught and threatened those who were not listening
that they would be seat to the Principal’s office. Then, she finished
the lecture on AralinPanlipunan.
(Week8th
January25,2016)
“Theseeds”
The teacher in Grade IV- Venus continued the lessons in
Mathematics but at the time, the class was using different seeds. The
assigned task was to find the volume of a toothpaste box, match box,
soap box, and cellular phone box.
The student teacher kept on laughing when she saw Group 3
counting the mongo seeds in the box of soap. Upon seeing the
situation, she suggested that each member of the group should get
some seeds in their hands and should count those. Then they must
add it all together.
Group 3 did the suggestion and turned out to be a since
success all the mongo seeds, from the soap box were planted.
(Week9th

“FeverandKarakol2016”
The student teacher had a sick so she was not able to teach.
But that weekTalisayBatangas celebrated the parade of Karakol.
They watched the parade outside the school since only few student
went to school. The student teacher and her four co-student teacher
enjoyed watching the Karakol.
The said occasion was celebrate annually before February 10
came. The student teacher called that event Korakol before and it
was corrected to Karakol.
Week 10th
February 9,2016)
“StressFree”
The student teacher had two days no class schedule due to the
fiesta in Talisayand Chinese New Year. However, the remaining two
days were stress free because all Grade IV Venus students were
residing at Talisay so most of them did not attend school.
Then she decided to clean the classroom, wax the floor and
sweep it. She furnished the reading material in the cabinet.
(Week11th
February 15,2016)
“AnnualCelebration”
Her cooperating teacher was busy preparing for the event on
Thursday. Therefore, the student teacher was given a task to the
class reading with comprehension. There was a set of question after
the reading selection. After that, the class and the student teacher
went to Talisay’s plaza and watched the annual celebration of Mr.
and Ms. VTSMS 2016.
The cooperating teacher of the student teacher was the
organizer of thatevent. She was also the adviser of the Supreme
Pupils Government (SPG) in the school. That event was one of the
projects of SPG. Additionally, to that this event was memorable in
the school.
The student teacher was glad since the representative of
Grade IV Venus got 3rd place in the said program. From that
gathering, five student teachers in Venancio Trinidad Senior
Memorial School become usherettes.
(Week12th
February 22,2016)
“Success”
It was the week when, the student teacher would complete the
requirements of herpractice teaching. More things were needed to be
fixed, the lesson plan, the powerpoint, and the instructional
materials. She was so stressed that day.
There were instances that the student teacher wanted to give
up. She was so tired, and too much worried about her final
demonstration on
February 26. She managed the time to construct her materials
for the demo as well as facilitating Grade IV Venus.
It was Wednesday; the final dry runs of the student teacher
since the next day were no classes. She used simple materials but for
big day she used powerpoint and media. The materials and the
powerpoint presentation were ready but the student teacher was not
yet ready. She was so nervous. She was trying to relax, and as the
time went by, the panelistscame.
One hour after the final demonstration, the student teacher felt so
good.
She could breathe normally and she thanked God for the
successful demonstration.
(February 29, 2016)
“CryingLadies”
There is no permanent in this world. One would come, one
would disappear but the hardest thing is to say goodbye. The student
teacher did not want to feel lonely. She was not used to be like that.
She wanted to always be happy except that was the time she said
farewell to her supportive cooperating teacher and dearest students.
She wished for a have a time machine for she did not want to
leave them. Then, she hugged Ma’am Aisa and said “Ma’am, thank
you very much.”
The letters and gifts from them make her cry too much. She
appreciated the love of every one. She hoped that it would never be
the end of their harmonious relationship. She would miss her
cooperating teacher and her Grade IVstudents.
Reflection
“REFLECTION”
There were lots of steps before we conquered all of these
things. We attempted to quit. We cried and We encountered
obstacles as we went along. But those challenges were the reason
why they survived and continued to pursue their aims.
During Student Teaching, I learned that teachers must be
pleasant and realistic. They need to be nice to their students, and to
make their suggestions appeal to them. If a student doesnot feel
satisfaction, teaching is not realistic and idealistic.
Teachers must be buoyant and optimistic in order to give
hope and to look at the brighter side of life. They must also enjoy
withothers.
She learned a lot from her cooperating school. A teacher
should possess the other attributes of a responsible educator.
Intelligence makes future learners more knowledgeable, and
competent.Emotionalstability avoids hurting the students and holds
on her dignity and morality. She needs this in order for her to be
respected and to keep self-respect. She must be resourceful.
Sympathy or compassion is important in teaching since we are
the second parent of our students. She needs to touch her
students.Cheerfulness, buoyancy and enthusiasm must be possessed
of a teacher.Objectiveness must be keptdespite gender, race, culture,
etc. I was alsoself-motivatedachieve my purposes in life.
Career
Plan
“CAREERPLAN”
Looking forward for the coming a year, desire success not
just for myself but also for my family and relatives.
Two years from now I will finish my Mastered degree, and
have a stable job on a public school. I want to help my nieces and
nephews to graduate and also to their finances.
After two years hopefully, she will be a school principal in a
public school who will engage the learners to be knowledgeable and
competitive citizens.

  • 8. “A Teacher’sCreed” I believe that teaching is not a profession but a vocation, demanding dedication and a deep sense of commitment. I believe that I am a co-worker with God, in the divine task of molding and forming the young and growing minds and hearts entrusted to my care. I believe that I must not differentiate between my students, and that I must not show any personal preferences or dislikes. I believe that I must not let my own problems, frustrations and anxieties color and affect my work and my attitude towards my students. I believe that I must be courteous, humane and kind in all my dealings with my colleagues and my students. I believe that I must cooperate with the management and the authorities, respecting their decisions and rules, yet never hesitating to express my own point of view. I believe that having willingly chosen to be a teacher, I must also be willing to respond sincerely with the effort, dedication and zeal, that teaching demands and deserves.
  • 10. One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.. Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down. It took the remainder of the class period to finish the assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers. That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual. On Monday, she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. "Really?" she heard whispered. "I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!" and, "I didn't know others liked me so much," were most of the comments. No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with themselves and one another. That group of students moved on. Several years later, one of the students was killed in Viet Nam and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so mature. The church was packed with his friends. One by one, those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the coffin. As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. "Were you Mark's math teacher?" he asked. She nodded: "yes." Then he said: "Mark talked about you a lot." After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher.
  • 11. “We want to show you something," his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket. "They found this on Mark when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it." Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him. “Thank you so much for doing that," Mark's mother said. "As you can see, Mark treasured it." All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, "I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home." Chuck's wife said, "Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding album." "I have mine too," Marilyn said. "It's in my diary" Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. "I carry this with me at all times," Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: "I think we all saved our lists" That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never see him again. The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be. So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too late.

  • 16. “A Touching Story” One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books, and I thought to myself, “Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd.” I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends’ tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on. As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran right up to him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. Then he looked up, and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes. My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him, as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said, “Those guys are jerks. They really should get a life.” He looked at me and said, “Hey thanks!” There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude. I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen
  • 17. him before. He said he had gone to private school before now. I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home, and I carried his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I asked him if he wanted to play football on Saturday with me and my friends. He said yes. We hung all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him. Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again. I stopped him and said, “Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books every day!” He just laughed and handed me half the books. Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends. When we were seniors, began to think about college. Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I was going to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem. He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship. Kyle was valedictorian of our class and I teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speech for graduation. I was so glad it wasn’t me having to get up there and speak. On Graduation Day, I saw Kyle. He looked great. He was one of those guys that really found him during
  • 18. high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than me and all the girls loved him. Boy, sometimes I was jealous. Today was one of those days. I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the back and said, “Hey, big guy, you’ll be great!” He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one), and smiled. “Thanks,” he said. As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began. “Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach but mostly your friends. I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone are the best gift you can give them. I am going to tell you a story.” I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met. He had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker, so his Mom wouldn’t have to do it later, and was carrying his stuff home. He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile. “Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable.” I heard the gasp go
  • 19. through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment. I saw his Mom and Dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile. Not until that moment did I realize its depth. Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person’s life, for better or for worse. God puts us all in each other’s lives to impact one another in some way. Look for God in others. “Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly. I agree with this. Your one action can really change a person’s life or motivate someone. And friends are the most important part about your life. A friend does have a major impact on you. Many times i have found myself being depressed and lonely. I don’t know if its hormones or just me. But a message from a friend on what Sapp or Facebook instantly makes me forget about my depression and I’m all happy and cheerful again.

This was constructed after the American Regime. The school started with one classroom only which was made of hut. There was only one class then and gradually, the number of pupils had increased until it had opened another grade level. Then as years went by, another grade level was opened until fourth grade. The pupils were taught by those who studied during the Spanish regime but unfortunately, they had not graduated. That was according to Dr. Venancio Trinidad Sr., former Director of Public Schools who happened to be one of the pupils of the said school. Since the school had only primary, the pupils were encouraged by their parents to continue their studies in thenearby town were forced to walk until barangay Ambulong. With her signal, the student teacher went in front holding her things and materials. The first topic was about finding the area of an irregular figure. Sometimes there were instances that students would be confused and would keep on asking the teacher. She was able to handle it she explained the steps and formulas on how to find the area of an irregular figure. She gave more examples and exercises. The topic was so complicated for their level; however she was amazed that most of the class answered the assigned task accurately. • 32. (3rd WeekDecember7,2015) “40minutes” The student teacher was not feeling well. Therefore Ma’am Aisa continued the new topic in Mathematics. Since there will be no classes for the next day, she gave another topic to the student teacher about AralinPanlipunan. The student teacher was bothered about how to teach the topic in just 40 minutes. The student teacher delivered the discussion in AralinPanlipunanjust fine. Another factor was when Ma’am Jessa, a MAPEH teacher because she consumed 10 minutes of the subject. She provided group activities, seatwork, and assignment before the ten minutes ended. Actually, it was easy for the student teacher and for the class to understand the lesson since the subject was in Filipino and the class were attentively participating with the discussion. She was willing to teach again if there were. Most of the class had difficulties with the lesson in Math; therefore; the student teacher provided a remedial class in Mathematics and explained well some past lessons which was not clear before. She wanted to always be happy except that was the time she said farewell to her supportive cooperating teacher and dearest students. She wished for a have a time machine for she did not want to leave them. Then, she hugged Ma’am Aisa and said “Ma’am, thank you very much.” The letters and gifts from them make her cry too much. She appreciated the love of every one. She hoped that it would never be the end of their harmonious relationship. She would miss her cooperating teacher and her Grade IVstudents.
  • 41. “REFLECTION” There were lots of steps before we conquered all of these things. We attempted to quit. We cried and We encountered obstacles as we went along. But those challenges were the reason why they survived and continued to pursue their aims. During Student Teaching, I learned that teachers must be pleasant and realistic. They need to be nice to their students, and to make their suggestions appeal to them. If a student doesnot feel satisfaction, teaching is not realistic and idealistic. Teachers must be buoyant and optimistic in order to give hope and to look at the brighter side of life. They must also enjoy withothers. She learned a lot from her cooperating school. A teacher should possess the other attributes of a responsible educator. Intelligence makes future learners more knowledgeable, and competent.Emotionalstability avoids hurting the students and holds on her dignity and morality. She needs this in order for her to be respected and to keep self-respect. She must be resourceful.
  • 42. Sympathy or compassion is important in teaching since we are the second parent of our students.
