High School Near Future Research
High School is a completely different compared to middle school. For the first time ever, your going to have to think about your future and what
will be the best thing for you in the long run. Some of you already have an idea of what you see yourself doing in the future, but the rest of you
may not have a clue what you want to be. When I was in your position, I was repeatedly asked "What do you want to be in the future." I always
responded back that I was not sure yet. However, I was trying to completely avoid that topic as I didn't want to worry about any of that "stuff." To
this day I'm not 100% sure what I want to be as I believe that all the puzzles will join together in the near future.
To be successful in high school, you do not have to have everything planned out, but you should have at least a small idea of what you are going to
do. This will be completely up to you as you have to chose what you like the most or in other words what makes you happy. If you want to join a
club or a specific class, go ahead if it truly makes you happy, but with that being said, do not join anything in which you are forced to as it has to
come naturally to you. I never had a problem with this, however; I have seen many people that have taken that path and they are ... Show more content

In the future, you are not going to want to remember any high school experience because the only thing you are going to think of is all the stress that
you had. Nonetheless, if you truly feel like you can handle it and want to try it, I encourage you to do it. You do not have to be a full IB or AP
student to succeed as I've seen countless of CP students join extremely good colleges. My recommendation would be to have one or two advanced
classes, most preferably your core classes, in order to find the right balance between school and your personal

Dai Perry Diary Report
Journal Entry for Unit 1: Daina Perry
My most memorable writing experience was in my senior year of high school. We were given free range to write about any subject (if it was school
appropriate), so I decided to write on the history of rap music. Now up until this paper I had never made an A on my papers. I had one Cpaper and
usually could not make above a B. I was passionate about this subject though, I love history and old school rap music. I poured my heart, tons of
facts, and history into this paper. I felt like I went beyond what was required of me with this paper. I was nervous as all get out. Here it is the day we
get our final papers back and......... An A+. I was astonished, I cried. The teacher told me that it was very informative and

Personal Narrative: My Accomplishment In The Medical Academy
High School has been filled with some of the best moments of my life and overall my experience has been very memorable. However, my most
memorable high school experience would have to be a special accomplishment in the Medical Academy. April 27, 2017, was the day I gained my
first industry certification as a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant. By having one of the highest passing scores in my class made me feel
very accomplished and I truly gained the understanding of hard work and determination. That day is very special to me and have encouraged me to
work even harder to accomplish all of my goals. My experience in the medical academy has inspired me to pursue a career in Nursing. Ultimately, I
want to work towards becoming an ARNP

A Memorable Person
What makes someone special, important, and memorable is judged by people differently. In my personal opinion, what makes a person
memorable is how he or she has impacted your life, for better or for worse. I decided to deviate from the obvious choice of a dear family member
or an especially great teacher, instead, choosing someone in my life whose impact has been recent. My friend Oniqa Urmi. Oniqa enriches the
lives of those around her, understands people where others fail to, and is unforgettable to anyone who has the privilege to know her. To begin, I
met Oniqa about 5 years ago during my freshman year of high school. It was our first class of Physical Education in the gym playing volleyball.
After some instructions from our teacher broke the class up into partners, and surprise my partner was Oniqa. Both of us were extremely shy, quiet,
and didn't talk much during the 45 minutes we spent hitting a ball back and forth. Luckily our friendship didn't with second period PE. With time
we became good friends. In reality, the first day we met wasn't the start to the typical friendship. Looking back, we were an unlikely pairing that
without realizing it had many similarities and experiences. Despite our somewhat awkward first encounter, the following years spent getting to know
each other better I learned she was a lot more than a shy girl in my PE class. As mentioned above, I chose Oniqa as my interviewee because of the
impact she has had on my life in the time I have

A memorable moment has been being a part of my cousins quinceГ±era. I was a dama and we had 3 different dances. It was memorable, because I got

people from different backgrounds. I felt very excited being a part of my cousins special day.
In the first semester of my sophomore year, I have improved in my presenting skills. A project that had helped me improve my presenting skills was
the computer science project my partner and I had to built a computer system with a budget, we built a movie theater system. Before the project, I
couldn't project my voice. In freshman year I did a debate for biology and I was very nervous.
After the project, I am now able to present and make eye contact. I got all points possible in the rubric for presenting. Presenting is important because

Outdoor Graduation
Do you remember the day you graduated from high school? Do you recall the joy and happiness you experienced when you stepped up on that stage to
receive your diploma? in general, students look forward to the day they graduate high school. Where the students have their graduation ceremonies has
been debated by students for many years. Although outdoor graduations may cost more than indoor and require a lot more effort, they could be worth a
student's time and money in the end. That is why an outdoor graduation should be a student's first choice over an indoor graduation. First off, an
outdoor graduation should be a student's first choice because it would allow more people to attend the ceremony. for example, if a graduating class
consists of more than 500 people, then there would be limited space at an indoor graduation for students and families. At an outdoor graduation, space
is an available resource and more people would be able to attend. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For many years in Gateway, high school students pay class dues throughout their high school career in order to ultimately afford an outdoor
graduation. The money would cover most of the expenses required to set up for an outdoor ceremony. Some students in Gateway argue that this is a
waste of money because it doesn't matter where we graduate, as long as we receive our diploma. I think it does matter, because a high school student
only graduates once, and graduation should be a memorable experience. And where would you rather make good memories? Inside, where you have
limited space and where less family members could share the joy with you, or outside on a beautiful summer day where your whole family could share

Moving To Canada
In journey of this life we are exploring many events and experiences which are most important to us. This experiences we gain it could be lesson for
some of us, it could be mistake we made or it could be most memorable experience ever gained. Here are some of the experience that I gained in my
life winning geography award, transition from middle school to high school and moving to Canada.
Winning geography was one of the most impactful event in my life. On, 28th June 2015, in my elementary school, I won geography award, this
award is really precious for me because my parents felt proud and were really happy to see me with this award. Achieving this award was really
impactful because it really motivated me to take further studies in geography. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On February 21st 2014, me and my family immigrated to Canada. It was quite good experience but It was unique because when we moved to Canada
I was nervous about my new school and new house, but people around me in Canada were so great that it was so comfortable on the first day of school.
Moving to Canada was impactful because it affected my families in many ways: new friends, different culture, different communities and different
environment. Many things changed, had different school, new house and different education system but this experience were great. It was unique and
learning experience, it is learning experience because I learned that moving from different country is not easy but with help of supportive, welcoming
and kind environment it is lot easier (& possible). In conclusion, moving to Canada is on of the most unique experience I gained.
In conclusion, life is full of new experience and without those experience we won't be what are we today. For me, my experience reflects me who I
am today, winning geography award made me full of passion for geography, transition to high school made me mature and self–dependent and lastly
moving to Canada made my experience unique. A famous quote by Albert Einstein "The only source of knowledge is

Personal Narrative: My Involvement With The FFA
In high school, I had a very positive experience throughout, but perhaps the most memorable experience would come from my involvement with the
FFA. I remember the Ag classes was unlike any other classes on campus because we would go to the school farm to learn from hands–on experiences.
My teacher Mrs. Keverline would become more than just a teacher for me she would become a role model. Mrs. Keverline would help me improve
with showing pigs as my SAE project, she teaches me about the importance of agriculture, and lastly, she helps made me into the public speaker that I
am today. In FFA I had the opportunity to do public speaking competition or event and at the time I was scared to do them, but glad I did because it
helps me out in the long.

Personal Experience : My Experience In High School
As you grow old and begin your adventure through high school your mind begins to grasp the darkness this world has to offer. Remember that at the
end of the path it's the choices you make and don't make that will determine what will be at the end of the trail. You are fifteen now my grandson and
I know from experience that the evil of this world has already presented itself to you in many forms. Alcohol, drugs, and drama are all a part of life
and what many go through including myself. The high school is full of new experiences and the decisions you choose to make that will stick with
you for a lifetime. When I was seventeen, I was a senior in high school and I had quite the busy schedule. I was on the water polo and swim team,
was taking some classes at a community college, along with having a part time job and having fun with friends. I can still remember my droopy
red eyes as I came home on a Friday night after a long week of the same routine from 7 A.M to 11 P.M. I would just collapse on the couch and
complain about work for a good 10 minutes to my siblings. I recall thinking to myself at the end of every day, why in the world am I doing this to
myself. I chose to play sports, take on a part time job, take harder classes in high school, and have a good time with friends. I was thinking of quitting
my job, maybe quit sports since my grades were dropping, but it's a excellent thing I didn't.
It wasn't until June 9th, 2017 my graduation day that I realized everything

What I Learned When Evaluating My School
When I evaluate my school year, many things come to mind. I ponder about all my friends, too. I think about the highs, lows, and the emotional
times with my closest friends. I also as well, think about how I have grown. My 7th grade year at CMS was full of concepts learned, memorable
experiences, and my personal growth. The concepts that I learned helped me grow throughout the year. One concept was Philosophical Chairs,
from my AVID class. It showed me how to compose a good debate on a subject of your choice. You should always have a straight statement and at
least a couple facts and people to support your discussion on the subject of your choice. Another concept that I learned was Video Production. By
teaching us this we learned how to follow directions and produce and direct a great video. You always need to be involved in this type of assignment.
One more concept that I learned was about the Salt and Gold trade in history. In these times back then gold was a very important material that
everyone wanted and it became a monumental time and part of West African history. All of these learning techniques and skills will definitely help me
move on in my career.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of my teachers Ms.Pena helped me a lot to grow in my character. She taught me how to give a good presentation so I can be ready to do these
things in college soon. The school dances are so fun for me. All my friends and I always go just to make multiple memories throughout the year. I'm
always the life of the party when I'm dancing. Additionally, when I dance I always have competition, but usually I always win. Meeting my friends
was great. The majority of my friends were my friends that I've known since we were in kindergarten. They are the most loyal, funny, and unhinged
people you'll ever meet. In addition, my new friends are amazing, I feel like I've known them for years now. I will never disremember my 7th grade

Essay on Looking Forward to Starting High School
An anonymous author once said, "What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened, it has all worked together to bring
you to this very moment. And this is the moment you can choose to make everything new. Right now." Over the course of my school years, it has
been an exciting and shocking experience. These experiences have been an enjoyable journey from my elementary to middle school years.
However, after several years the end of my middle school adventure is coming to a close. Soon my new journey will start as a freshman. Eight grade
will surely be one of my most memorable years. It has been an absolute wonderful one hundred eighty days, and I will miss some of the aspects of

These activities have created many memorable memories for me to hold onto for the years to come. I have also made many friends that hopefully I
will never forget. The main highlight of the eighth grade year was probably the Challenge. It was an absolutely fun event that I really think made each
day slightly competitive and exciting. I really felt that mostly everyone, including the teachers, was excited to be in teams competing to win the
limousine ride. Even though only one team could win the ride, the trip to Stony Run Park was also fun for everyone also. The events planned such as
the tug–a–war was exhilarating. It was a great time to just enjoy yourself without worrying about school. I will never forget the eighth grade
challenge. Another highlight of the year was the awards ceremony that just took place several days ago. I believe it was a pretty fun moment to be
recognized for the many achievements done by students throughout their years at Grimmer Middle School. I think it will be fun to look back at
trophies, papers, or plaques when I grow up to see what I accomplished during my middle school years. Throughout eighth grade the overall
experience was a fun one. The homework and test were not that bad, and the people I have meet are truly the best. However, some of eighth grade was

High School Research Paper
High school is something we all look forward to as kids in middle school. In high school there will be many new things, but a few couldl stay the
same. There are things I expect and look forward to about high school, but there are also things I dread. I expect a few things on what high school will
be like. First of all, I expect a big change. Everything could possibly change when I get to high school. Rules stricter than the ones in middle school
will probably be enforced When stricter rules are applied, students will probably have feelings of wanting to cause mischief. If that happens, I also
expect teachers to be a bit more stern than what you would expect. I suppose high school will be somewhat like a prison instead of a place where we
can learn. There are a few details about high school that frighten me a bit. I know that I might meet new people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Another thing i am worried about is that classes could be humdrum classes. From things I have heard, every person who goes to high school will
most likely have at least one class where they will fall asleep at least once. The last thing I dread is adults having higher expectations. When we get
to high school, we will feel that in order to be successful in life we will have to exceed these expectations. Not all things I expect from high school
are awful, I actually look forward to a few things that high school has to offer. New experiences are probably something we all look forward to.
Once I get to high school I will probably be granted more freedom. Something else I look forward to is classes that will be a lot more fascinating
than the ones in middle school. There are many more things about high school that I look forward to, but I cannot list them all. My general idea of
what high school will be like is that it will normal just like another person's high school experience. Like anybody else I expect, dread, and look
forward to things about high school. In other

Why Is Large High Schools Better Than Small High School?
As a parent you want to make sure your kid/s get the best education possible. So when looking through all of your options, the question typically
comes up, "Are they going to get a better education and better opportunities in a large or small High School?". Well recent studies have shown that
bigger is not necessarily better. Small high schools are a better option than large high school for numerous of reasons. One of the many reasons that
small high schools are a better option than large high schools is, that they provide more time for student and teacher interaction. Typically, students that
go to large, high schools lack a sense of community that small schools provide. When students feel that they don't have a personal connection with one
or more school staff members, it often makes the student lack engagement. Which also leads to the students feeling like their education isn't a priority,
which causes the student to have no motivation for their education, (Kokemuller). When you attend a small high school you're not just another
number, your teachers know you by your name. They also know how to personally help you academically achieve and how well you're doing in all
of your classes. They also are enthusiastic about what is happening in your life inside and outside the classroom, and they're not afraid to get down and
dirty with what you're learning in small group discussions. Unlike in larger schools where there is not enough time for that because there so many

Happy and Succeed

September 12, 2012 Happy and succeed Most students graduate from high school knowing what they want to persuade in life and accomplish,
many other students don't have a clue about anything they want to do nor persuade so for example, in the article The Pink Floyd Night School by
Mark Edmundson, he as many other students after graduating high school didn't know what he was going to do or study as a career, basically he
had no clue of what he wanted. Life experience brought him the knowledge of knowing what he wanted to do in his career life. Edmundson uses
many life experiences, as well as vivid examples to expand his argument of why he thinks students should take time off of school and about a year to

Edmundson got to live his life and then got to business. He is doing something that he likes and gives him the opportunity of going back in time in
his memory of his life flashbacks of when he was in high school and what happen to him when he was young. He gets to tell it to his students and
learns something new each year of all the generations he gets to see and talks too of how life was then and how is life now. Don't let life pass you
by. Everyone can still be successful but taking time off school it will give you a better chance of figuring out what exactly do you want to do for your
career and in life. In other words, Edmundson never even thought that his life experience would take him to an education path to get his degree in
something that he would enjoy doing. He gets the pleasure of teaching kids but as well as going back in time remembering what he went threw to
get to his career. He got to live his life, relaxing and enjoying five years of doing nothing but working. Take life easy and enjoy it. don't make stress if

My Experience At The Multicultural Dinners
Growing up in a small mountain town there wasn't very much diversity to be spoken of. However, thanks to my parents, I was always encouraged
and raised to never judge people who may seem different from myself because no matter the race, religion, gender or appearance, we are all the same
on the inside. My first memorable experience that opened my eyes to the diversity that this world contains was in high school during a special event
called the multi–cultural dinner. The dinner consisted of different families that brought food, danced cultural dances, brought cultural costumes, spoke
about their religion and more all based on their country and culture. I was blown away at all of the different things that go into each culture, or religion.
I quickly discovered that I loved learning about cultures that were very different from mine. The more obscure the culture, the more I wanted to learn.
From the connections I made and the people that I met at the Multicultural dinners, I was able to travel to Spain for a month the summer after high
school. I can truly say that is an experience that I will never forget. I not only had to improve my Spanish, because my language was no longer the
majority but the minority. I also had to learn a lot about the etiquette of the spanish culture, try different foods and much more. This all caused me to
step outside of my comfort zone but also helped me to grow as person and to cultivate friendships and experiences that will last me a

with a little street dancing or "twerking". During the second performance, the girls performed a jazz routine to the song "Shut Up and Dance With Me."
How did you participate?
For these performances I didn't actually get to participate. I did however, watch the dancers and analyze their movement. They were amazing so I

All of my expectations were exceeded for both performances. The performances were very different from each other and its quite amazing how one
team can be so perfect at two completely different styled of dance and perform two completely opposite routines in such a short time frame. In both
shows the dancers had great intervals and moved in synchronization.
What was the most memorable dance, section or element for you? Why?
The most memorable part of the hip hop show was when the dancers did a large hair flip followed by a big strut and lots of hip movement paired with
the use of their hair and arms to accentuate the movement of their hips and torso.
The most memorable part of the jazz routine was when the girls did six pirouettes, turned into an attitude leap that transitioned straight to floor work.
Everyone moved simultaneously so it looked as if they were one unit and not separate dancers. Even the details were perfect every leap was the same
height, every leading foot hit the floor at the same time and every toe was pointed.

The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association
The question of whether the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) should separate public and private schools into their own
divisions has been a topic of discussion for years. As a product of 14 years of Catholic education, I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in
athletics during my high school career. Many of the teams that we played were public school teams from small communities where athletics were almost
more important than an education. Unfortunately, I have witnessed firsthand the animosity that has surfaced between public and private schools.
The PIAA is the governing body of high school sports in the state of Pennsylvania. The PIAA was founded in 1913 and initially included only public
schools as members. Parochial and private schools were admitted to the PIAA in the late 1970's. In 1997, the PA Charter School Act was passed
which allowed for the creation of charter schools. The emergence of charter schools, particularly in the Philadelphia area, created even greater
animosity between private and public schools. The Philadelphia schools, many of which are charter schools, were not members of the PIAA until
2003. Their athletic success at the state championship level has raised many concerns from the public sector.
The primary problem that the PIAA faces today is the dominance of private schools winning the majority of state titles in all sports. Public schools have
geographic boundaries that determine the school a student must

Personal Narrative: Mansfield Timberview High School
Out of the 19 years I have been blessed to be on this earth, I can honestly say that my most rewarding moment was the day graduated Mansfield

The senior class of 2015 was thought to be the lazy class, in our peers and some of my teacher's eyes. So, for me being able to say I graduated on time
with a GPA of 3.4 was a big deal for me. To have people doubt my abilities and think to themselves that I will fail is a motivation for me as a young

"Up next to the stage . . . Teyonna White." Hearing those 7 words was more than a surreal moment for me, it was like the announcer saying "She did it
folks, she made it." What made this moment rewarding for me was that those four years of high school, lose late night studies, and hours upon hours of
work all lead up to this one moment, and it paid off. This one memorable moment taught me that one does not give up, and go for what one wants no

Graduation Speech: Hadley 8th Grade
Welcome all to the graduation of the Hadley 8th grade class this year. I want to begin by saying a big congrats to the graduating students of 2017 for
making it through all the bumps and swerves in this winding road we have had in these past three years. As I begin, the thoughts run through my
head of how our time here had one terrifying beginning, memorable end, and a middle consisting of lots of late nights, rushed mornings, different
kinds of distractions, and tests many forgot to study for. Every year I spent here I gained a little more independence, and became all that much closer
to who I am today. So today we are celebrating us, and all the milestones we have achieved in our adventure here at Hadley Jr. High.
Summing up our experience at hadley in just a few minutes is a difficult task, but here it goes. Starting in sixth grade, anxiety levels were sky high for

Lunch slowly became many favorite subjects, and friends became a little bit closer. The track we were all on, seemed far from right, but hey, it's 7th
grade. By 8th grade we all thought we pro's with the process, and by week two, that thought was demolished. No one here had a perfect 3 middle school
years, some of yours might have been close, but I do know that we all have to thank each other for teaching all of us how to be our bold amazing selves.
The thing with middle school is, you don't know what's right around the corner, whether it is a PBL, new project, pop quiz, or a crammed week of
tests and presentations. But right now, for the end of this chapter, we should be proud of finishing this part, and continue on writing the rest of our
stories. You are going to hit so many bumps in the road, the hopeless feelings you will have at one point, will feel like nothing when laughing with all
of the close friends you have met here, and can hopefully stay with them for a

Personal Narrative: My Region Band Experience
Imagine yourself as someone who is excelling is everything. Nothing is hard for you! You are smart and talented and there is no such thing as a
'challenge'. Until, you come across learning something new. This challenges you. You are frustrated and you really want to quit because this isn't
easy. But later, you get more help and you end up being one of the best people at what you do. Guess what? This is the exact same thing that
happened to me with my trumpet. But look at me now. I'm in a lot of activities with Band. How did this happen? Well, in this essay, I will tell you
about me overcoming my trumpet challenge and a memorable experience in Band. Everything you do is not going to be easy, but you can't give up

I was surprised when I was accepted into Region Band, (I did really bad on my audition.) and we had to go out of town for the clinic. An hour and 15
minutes, we arrived at Fort Mill High. We were late. So I went inside the room, where all of the Region Band people were, and everybody was there. I
felt nervous. So, I went to my seat and just stared at the music. I knew for a fact I couldn't play that music (Mostly "Crosswinds March") but we
practiced and I realized, it wasn't that bad. At 5:00, we left and we stopped by the hotel to drop off our luggage and to get ready for dinner. The
best part is the fact that all the teachers were on the first floor and we were on the fourth. We ended up going to the Southpark Mall for dinner and
we were there for 2 hours. My two friends and I ended up buying two pizzas and walking around the mall with them. This felt like freedom to me.
Not having a teacher tell you what to do or where to go. But after we left the mall, we went to Sports Connection for an hour. I ended up hanging
with the same people I hung out with in the Mall. My people ended up playing laser tag, so I hung out with A French Horn player. She and I went on
a 3–D ride that had werewolves. That was fun. After the ride, we left and went back to the hotel. I went straight to bed. The next morning, we were
almost late leaving and we missed breakfast (but the good thing is we weren't late to practice.) We practiced our music and took breaks and next thing
you know, it's concert night. The concert was really outstanding. Afterwards, I left the high school and headed on back to

Essay On High School Accomplishments
The start of my high school career was an enormous accomplishment for me. Even if I had a lot of different feelings overwhelming me. One of
those feelings was fear, I was terrified to be in high school. First off the school seemed like a whole new world, plus it was about 5x bigger than my
middle school, then all the other kids looked like grown adults and they were so much taller than I. Also coming to high school meant more responsible.
Which at the time I really wasn't ready to handle that pressure. I had already had a stressful middle school from other things that were going on in my
life. So I didn't want to start it off like that again, so I tried my best to do everything different from my 8th grade year. Even though 8th grade was

When I was cut it left pain in my chest in the beginning, but I told myself not to give up because even Jordan was cut his freshman year, so I
turned that pain and Sorrow into determination and Dedication. On the school side of freshman year, it seemed easier than 8th grade in the first
quarter, but the second quarter hit me like a wrecking ball. I was drowning in school work to my neck and It seemed like there was a new test in
math class every day. As the year carried on I notice how me and my peers wasn't taking our school work as important as we should have. I notice
how I went from a great student to a slacking one how I was just not doing homework or not trying to really learn. It didn't hit me till it was coming
close to the end of the third quarter and I was at a D+, when I seen that I knew I wasn't putting my best foot forward and that I could have done
better that quarter. Nonetheless I pulled it together for those last three weeks, I had brought that grade back up, I finished the quarter with a B+
instead of a D+. which was really a wake up call for me in my freshman year, it gave me a new perspective and mindset for the rest of that

Being A Cheerleader
My most memorable school experience, revolves around the extracurricular of being a cheerleader. Being able to have the opportunity to thrive in
school spirit and to be able to build lifelong friendships has allowed me to cherish my high school experience. Even though being a cheerleader
consists of many responsibilities and events; my most favored school experience is being a part of the schools organized pep rallies. Pep rallies are
memorable to me because it is a couple times out of the school year that each student comes together to support and encourage our own fellow
students. By encouraging students of all ages to be apart of this experience is important to me, because seeing each student happy in sight of their
school is inspiring.

Associated Student Body: A Leadership Analysis
As being a member of the Associated Student Body, I have experienced many leadership roles. We aspire to create events in which our student body
can be more involved in at our school and increase school spirit. What comes along with having a small school that does not follow traditional high
school experiences, such as football games or big pep rallies, it becomes difficult to bring out student appreciation for our school. As a leader of ASB,
my biggest obstacle is to create a school environment as close to the high school experience, in order to provide our students the opportunity to look
back at their high school years as one of the most memorable years of their youth. This year, our biggest challenge was to put out the best Junior Ball

Reflection On Pre-Service Reflection
5.Reflect upon your answer from #1 in the pre–service reflection regarding your fears, concerns, expectations and perceived challenges that you wrote
about. How were your initial thoughts confirmed or denied? Address any biases or stereotypes that you discovered that you had. Working with the
students at the Be a Leader Foundation this semester, I realized that many while many of my fears were correct, I discovered a bias I did not even
know I had. Going into the Be a Leader Foundation, I was afraid that I would not able to relate to the student because they are going through more
difficult situations in their lives. One example of this was a young 7th grader that I worked with. She had big dreams of becoming a chef, but because

B. What can you do to be a civically engaged educator or teacher? As a teacher, I will be more civically engaged by not only continue my involvement
in the community, but also by teaching my students to become more involved through service learning lessons. Service learning can be an important
tool as an educator because the students can learn the academic content while also participating in a service project of their own. Service learning also

Initiation By Sylvia Plath Analysis
Initiation Joan D. Vinge once said, "We are all born with a unique genetic blueprint, which lays out the basic characteristics of our personality as
well as our physical health and appearance... And yet, we all know that life experiences do change us." In the short story, "Initiation," by Sylvia
Plath, Millicent, a teenage girl whom is being initiated into a high school sorority must go five days doing what their sorority big sister commands
them to do. While being initiated, Millicent starts to realize that while being part of a group that she's been longing to be apart of is great, being an
individual and creating yourself makes you more unique than those who are part of a group. Having individuality allows you to be more free, and
makes you more memorable to those around you.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Her last encounter said something that inspired Millicent to be an individual and to not continue with her initiation with the exclusive social
group. "Heather birds live on the mythological moors and fly about all day long, singing wild and sweet in the sun. They're bright purple and have
very tasty eyebrows." She realized that the heather birds get to fly around all day doing whatever they like. They can be free from others and be
spontaneous. A person that's not a part of a group is more memorable to people than someone that is. An individual is more of their own leader but
in a group, there is usually one leader and several of followers. It's the freedom of being an individual is what makes it great. "Swooping carefree
over the moors, they would go singing and crying out across the great spaces of air, dipping and darting, strong and proud in their freedom and their

The Transition From Middle School To High School
The transition from Middle School to High School can be overwhelming for many students. Having a Peer Leader makes the transition easier because
the new student has someone to talk to that has been through the same experiences they will soon encounter. Peer Leadership is a great opportunity to
enhance my leadership skills, be a role model, and share my experiences with others. I will be able to show the incoming students how to maintain a
balance between school and extracurricular activities, and make the most out of their experience at New Providence High School. From my own

Oxford Summer Program Analysis
William Duquette – Oxford Advanced Studies Program Application
Attending the Oxford summer program would reconnect me with the country of my birth, England. When I was a baby, my family moved from
England to the United States, where I live now. Since I moved to Illinois, my family and I have traveled to many locations around the globe including
Peru, Australia, Japan, India, the Galapagos Islands, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Botswana. My most memorable trips were Japan and India, but for
different reasons. When I traveled to Japan I learned about an entirely new culture and taste many new foods. Our visit to the Hiroshima Peace
Memorial Museum was both disturbing and moving. My trip to India was memorable because it allowed me to experience international healthcare. In
India, I was diagnosed with viral meningitis and spent eight days in an Indian hospital, which gave me a rare opportunity to experience first–hand what
less–advanced healthcare was like. I have gained an expansive view of the international community through my travels. International travel has
introduced me to multiple perspectives on life outside the United States.

Analysis Of Disco Daze
Sidney Hook said, "Everyone who remembers his own education remembers teachers, not methods and techniques. The teacher is the heart of the
educational system." Mr. Fitzpatrick an experienced teacher and Mr. Meyer a brand new teacher were both influenced by their teachers to help them
realize their passion to teach. Mr. Fitzpatrick was my U.S. History teacher my freshman year of high school and I remembered when he taught anyone
could tell how much he loved history and how every year he brings joy to so many students by hosting Disco Daze. Disco Daze allows anyone
who participates to go back in time for a little while and truly experience what it was like living in the 70s. It was a truly memorable experience as
a student and I still look forward to it as a senior. Mr. Meyer reaches out to students through his coaching. Many athletes look up to him and every
time they are around him they are smiling and laughing. It is his first year teaching and he already has students who look up to him as a role model.
Comparing the years of experience they have can show the similarities and differences between how they talk about their teaching styles, their
inspiration that made them decide to be a teacher, and the memorable experiences they have had as a teacher.

Arts And Education : The Importance Of Arts In The Classroom
The article highlights the fact that the arts can build a sense of togetherness within schools while at the same time contributing to the success of a
variety of learning skills and goals. Exposing children to dance, theatre, visual arts and music in the early grades is extremely beneficial especially for
their language development. With there being a significant increase in the number of children enrolling in school today with English as their secondary
language, it is important for language and literacy to be introduced in a way that is engaging and memorable to them. A lot of teachers struggle and feel
unprepared with helpings these type of students and are constantly looking for fun and innovative ways to reach these students.
One of the most important factors in the classroom is the volume and quality of oral language use that the teacher promotes. Children who are learning
ESL (English as a Second Language) oral language skills can be improved by giving them frequent opportunities to participate in structured academic
talk with peers and teachers who speaks English well that they can mimic and copy from. Unfortunately, in most classroom the opportunities for
deliberate rich verbal communication between teacher and students are very rare, especially with bigger classes and the demand for strict curriculum.
Theatre arts and activities uses nonverbal interaction along with verbal communication as an effective means of encouraging the proper use of oral

My First Day In America Research Paper
Everyone has to experience an important stage, which create significant changes in his life. I am not an exception. When I am 16 years old, I made
one of the most important decision of my life, when I decided to take part in an exchange program and live far away from my family for nearly a

I knew it was not the time to think about my feeling or my memory. I come here to experience, that's why I have to face it. I spent months to get
used to life in America when I am at home, including studying environment, but I could not predict that I have to face a lot of changes like this. I
was shocked for hours. I had to move between classes, and had to study many subjects that I have never study before, or even know its existence. I
could not listen to all of my teacher's instruction, and I did not understand some of them at all. Language barrier was still an obstacle for me to
conquer the subjects. However, that was all difficulties that I have faced. Beside, there are a lot of interesting things that I can explore at my school.
School cafeteria offer a wide variety of not only delicious but also nutritious food. I could also sit with my new friends and chat with them for half an
hour. More interestingly, I found a bottle of spicy ketchup at my firstlunch, made by a Vietnamese company. It was also my favourite sauce, so I felt
really exciting to taste my country's flavour while studying abroad. Lunch time has always been a great time until now and I hope my time in the
cafeteria each day could be longer. The beautiful smell and taste of food of my first lunch at CCA were so wonderful that in the next days, they are the
only things in my mind at the first four hours. However, it is not the most interesting time of the first day. For the first time in my life, I can play a

Graduation Speech: Welcome To Saydel High School
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Saydel High School. Today is a big day, as we, the class of 2018 gather one last time before
taking our next steps into our adult lives. We made it. We graduated high school. Soon, we will all be walking across the stage to receive our diploma,
which is an event that has been 13 plus years in the making.
It's hard to believe that our time together is beginning to draw to a close. It seems like just yesterday we were walking into Saydel High School for the
first time, as incoming freshman, nervous about meeting new students and teachers, and especially nervous about meeting new seniors. Now, we are
the seniors at Saydel High School, and at the end of our short–lived journey together.
Our journey has brought us many friendships, which will hopefully carry over into our adult lives. As we begin to transition from our high school life
to our postsecondary life, I ask you all to remember these friendships, and don't take them for granted. Because one day, these friendships might not be
the same. Your friends will move away, find new jobs, and start families. So, let's enjoy what we have left together.
As I stand before you all at the end of our senior year, giving this speech, let's reminisce in some of our memorable pasts. Looking back, we've made

Categories In My Word Cloud
When writing everyday, whether it be writing a caption on a new post, texting a friend, or journaling everyday, people do not think of their use of
words and how it reflects things about them. The word cloud project takes those words and compiles a list of them that are used most often. I
chosed to use summaries that were written on my phone on days that were eventful and I would like to remember. The summaries reflect what I
did everyday over the summer and what I liked the most from that day. Categories in my word cloud is summer school, softball, and vacation which
show my value in daily activities. The words school, work, lunch, world, and history are present in my word cloud because the weekday after school
ended summer school started. I took world history which took five weeks of summer, but I had to go a little out of my comfort zone. There was no

High School Near Future Research

  • 1. High School Near Future Research High School is a completely different compared to middle school. For the first time ever, your going to have to think about your future and what will be the best thing for you in the long run. Some of you already have an idea of what you see yourself doing in the future, but the rest of you may not have a clue what you want to be. When I was in your position, I was repeatedly asked "What do you want to be in the future." I always responded back that I was not sure yet. However, I was trying to completely avoid that topic as I didn't want to worry about any of that "stuff." To this day I'm not 100% sure what I want to be as I believe that all the puzzles will join together in the near future. To be successful in high school, you do not have to have everything planned out, but you should have at least a small idea of what you are going to do. This will be completely up to you as you have to chose what you like the most or in other words what makes you happy. If you want to join a club or a specific class, go ahead if it truly makes you happy, but with that being said, do not join anything in which you are forced to as it has to come naturally to you. I never had a problem with this, however; I have seen many people that have taken that path and they are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the future, you are not going to want to remember any high school experience because the only thing you are going to think of is all the stress that you had. Nonetheless, if you truly feel like you can handle it and want to try it, I encourage you to do it. You do not have to be a full IB or AP student to succeed as I've seen countless of CP students join extremely good colleges. My recommendation would be to have one or two advanced classes, most preferably your core classes, in order to find the right balance between school and your personal ... • 2. Dai Perry Diary Report Journal Entry for Unit 1: Daina Perry My most memorable writing experience was in my senior year of high school. We were given free range to write about any subject (if it was school appropriate), so I decided to write on the history of rap music. Now up until this paper I had never made an A on my papers. I had one Cpaper and usually could not make above a B. I was passionate about this subject though, I love history and old school rap music. I poured my heart, tons of facts, and history into this paper. I felt like I went beyond what was required of me with this paper. I was nervous as all get out. Here it is the day we get our final papers back and......... An A+. I was astonished, I cried. The teacher told me that it was very informative and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Personal Narrative: My Accomplishment In The Medical Academy High School has been filled with some of the best moments of my life and overall my experience has been very memorable. However, my most memorable high school experience would have to be a special accomplishment in the Medical Academy. April 27, 2017, was the day I gained my first industry certification as a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant. By having one of the highest passing scores in my class made me feel very accomplished and I truly gained the understanding of hard work and determination. That day is very special to me and have encouraged me to work even harder to accomplish all of my goals. My experience in the medical academy has inspired me to pursue a career in Nursing. • 4. A Memorable Person What makes someone special, important, and memorable is judged by people differently. In my personal opinion, what makes a person memorable is how he or she has impacted your life, for better or for worse. I decided to deviate from the obvious choice of a dear family member or an especially great teacher, instead, choosing someone in my life whose impact has been recent. My friend Oniqa Urmi. Oniqa enriches the lives of those around her, understands people where others fail to, and is unforgettable to anyone who has the privilege to know her. To begin, I met Oniqa about 5 years ago during my freshman year of high school. It was our first class of Physical Education in the gym playing volleyball. After some instructions from our teacher broke the class up into partners, and surprise my partner was Oniqa. Both of us were extremely shy, quiet, and didn't talk much during the 45 minutes we spent hitting a ball back and forth. Luckily our friendship didn't with second period PE. With time we became good friends. In reality, the first day we met wasn't the start to the typical friendship. Looking back, we were an unlikely pairing that without realizing it had many similarities and experiences. Despite our somewhat awkward first encounter, the following years spent getting to know each other better I learned she was a lot more than a shy girl in my PE class. As mentioned above, I chose Oniqa as my interviewee because of the impact she has had on my life in the time I have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Outdoor Graduation Do you remember the day you graduated from high school? Do you recall the joy and happiness you experienced when you stepped up on that stage to receive your diploma? in general, students look forward to the day they graduate high school. Where the students have their graduation ceremonies has been debated by students for many years. Although outdoor graduations may cost more than indoor and require a lot more effort, they could be worth a student's time and money in the end. That is why an outdoor graduation should be a student's first choice over an indoor graduation. First off, an outdoor graduation should be a student's first choice because it would allow more people to attend the ceremony. for example, if a graduating class consists of more than 500 people, then there would be limited space at an indoor graduation for students and families. At an outdoor graduation, space is an available resource and more people would be able to attend. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For many years in Gateway, high school students pay class dues throughout their high school career in order to ultimately afford an outdoor graduation. The money would cover most of the expenses required to set up for an outdoor ceremony. Some students in Gateway argue that this is a waste of money because it doesn't matter where we graduate, as long as we receive our diploma. I think it does matter, because a high school student only graduates once, and graduation should be a memorable experience. And where would you rather make good memories? Inside, where you have limited space and where less family members could share the joy with you, or outside on a beautiful summer day where your whole family could share the joy with ... • 11. Personal Experience : My Experience In High School As you grow old and begin your adventure through high school your mind begins to grasp the darkness this world has to offer. Remember that at the end of the path it's the choices you make and don't make that will determine what will be at the end of the trail. You are fifteen now my grandson and I know from experience that the evil of this world has already presented itself to you in many forms. Alcohol, drugs, and drama are all a part of life and what many go through including myself. The high school is full of new experiences and the decisions you choose to make that will stick with you for a lifetime. When I was seventeen, I was a senior in high school and I had quite the busy schedule. I was on the water polo and swim team, was taking some classes at a community college, along with having a part time job and having fun with friends. I can still remember my droopy red eyes as I came home on a Friday night after a long week of the same routine from 7 A.M to 11 P.M. I would just collapse on the couch and complain about work for a good 10 minutes to my siblings. I recall thinking to myself at the end of every day, why in the world am I doing this to myself. I chose to play sports, take on a part time job, take harder classes in high school, and have a good time with friends. I think about the highs, lows, and the emotional times with my closest friends. I also as well, think about how I have grown. My 7th grade year at CMS was full of concepts learned, memorable experiences, and my personal growth. The concepts that I learned helped me grow throughout the year. One concept was Philosophical Chairs, from my AVID class. It showed me how to compose a good debate on a subject of your choice. You should always have a straight statement and at least a couple facts and people to support your discussion on the subject of your choice. Another concept that I learned was Video Production. By teaching us this we learned how to follow directions and produce and direct a great video. You always need to be involved in this type of assignment. One more concept that I learned was about the Salt and Gold trade in history. In these times back then gold was a very important material that everyone wanted and it became a monumental time and part of West African history. All of these learning techniques and skills will definitely help me move on in my career.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These experiences have been an enjoyable journey from my elementary to middle school years. However, after several years the end of my middle school adventure is coming to a close. These activities have created many memorable memories for me to hold onto for the years to come. I have also made many friends that hopefully I will never forget. The main highlight of the eighth grade year was probably the Challenge. It was an absolutely fun event that I really think made each day slightly competitive and exciting. I really felt that mostly everyone, including the teachers, was excited to be in teams competing to win the limousine ride. Even though only one team could win the ride, the trip to Stony Run Park was also fun for everyone also. The events planned such as the tug–a–war was exhilarating. It was a great time to just enjoy yourself without worrying about school. I will never forget the eighth grade challenge. Another highlight of the year was the awards ceremony that just took place several days ago. I believe it was a pretty fun moment to be recognized for the many achievements done by students throughout their years at Grimmer Middle School. I think it will be fun to look back at trophies, papers, or plaques when I grow up to see what I accomplished during my middle school years. Throughout eighth grade the overall experience was a fun one. The homework and test were not that bad, and the people I have meet are truly the best. However, some of eighth grade was not at ... There are things I expect and look forward to about high school, but there are also things I dread. I expect a few things on what high school will be like. First of all, I expect a big change. Everything could possibly change when I get to high school. Rules stricter than the ones in middle school will probably be enforced When stricter rules are applied, students will probably have feelings of wanting to cause mischief. If that happens, I also expect teachers to be a bit more stern than what you would expect. I suppose high school will be somewhat like a prison instead of a place where we can learn. There are a few details about high school that frighten me a bit. I know that I might meet new people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another thing i am worried about is that classes could be humdrum classes. Not all things I expect from high school are awful, I actually look forward to a few things that high school has to offer. New experiences are probably something we all look forward to. Once I get to high school I will probably be granted more freedom. Something else I look forward to is classes that will be a lot more fascinating than the ones in middle school. There are many more things about high school that I look forward to, but I cannot list them all. • 16. Why Is Large High Schools Better Than Small High School? As a parent you want to make sure your kid/s get the best education possible. So when looking through all of your options, the question typically comes up, "Are they going to get a better education and better opportunities in a large or small High School?". Well recent studies have shown that bigger is not necessarily better. Small high schools are a better option than large high school for numerous of reasons. One of the many reasons that small high schools are a better option than large high schools is, that they provide more time for student and teacher interaction. Typically, students that go to large, high schools lack a sense of community that small schools provide. When students feel that they don't have a personal connection with one or more school staff members, it often makes the student lack engagement. Which also leads to the students feeling like their education isn't a priority, which causes the student to have no motivation for their education, (Kokemuller). When you attend a small high school you're not just another number, your teachers know you by your name. They also know how to personally help you academically achieve and how well you're doing in all of your classes. They also are enthusiastic about what is happening in your life inside and outside the classroom, and they're not afraid to get down and dirty with what you're learning in small group discussions. Life experience brought him the knowledge of knowing what he wanted to do in his career life. Everyone can still be successful but taking time off school it will give you a better chance of figuring out what exactly do you want to do for your career and in life. In other words, Edmundson never even thought that his life experience would take him to an education path to get his degree in something that he would enjoy doing. He gets the pleasure of teaching kids but as well as going back in time remembering what he went threw to get to his career. • 18. My Experience At The Multicultural Dinners Growing up in a small mountain town there wasn't very much diversity to be spoken of. However, thanks to my parents, I was always encouraged and raised to never judge people who may seem different from myself because no matter the race, religion, gender or appearance, we are all the same on the inside. My first memorable experience that opened my eyes to the diversity that this world contains was in high school during a special event called the multi–cultural dinner. The dinner consisted of different families that brought food, danced cultural dances, brought cultural costumes, spoke about their religion and more all based on their country and culture. I was blown away at all of the different things that go into each culture, or religion. I quickly discovered that I loved learning about cultures that were very different from mine. The more obscure the culture, the more I wanted to learn. From the connections I made and the people that I met at the Multicultural dinners, I was able to travel to Spain for a month the summer after high school. I can truly say that is an experience that I will never forget. I not only had to improve my Spanish, because my language was no longer the majority but the minority. I also had to learn a lot about the etiquette of the spanish culture, try different foods and much more. This all caused me to step outside of my comfort zone but also helped me to grow as person and to cultivate friendships and experiences that will last me a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

During the first performance, I watched the dancers perform to the hip hop song "Worth It" so of course their choreography was hip hop combined with a little street dancing or "twerking". During the second performance, the girls performed a jazz routine to the song "Shut Up and Dance With Me." How did you participate? For these performances I didn't actually get to participate. The most memorable part of the hip hop show was when the dancers did a large hair flip followed by a big strut and lots of hip movement paired with the use of their hair and arms to accentuate the movement of their hips and torso. The most memorable part of the jazz routine was when the girls did six pirouettes, turned into an attitude leap that transitioned straight to floor work. • 23. The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association The question of whether the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) should separate public and private schools into their own divisions has been a topic of discussion for years. As a product of 14 years of Catholic education, I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in athletics during my high school career. Many of the teams that we played were public school teams from small communities where athletics were almost more important than an education. Unfortunately, I have witnessed firsthand the animosity that has surfaced between public and private schools. The PIAA is the governing body of high school sports in the state of Pennsylvania. The PIAA was founded in 1913 and initially included only public schools as members. Parochial and private schools were admitted to the PIAA in the late 1970's. In 1997, the PA Charter School Act was passed which allowed for the creation of charter schools. The emergence of charter schools, particularly in the Philadelphia area, created even greater animosity between private and public schools. The Philadelphia schools, many of which are charter schools, were not members of the PIAA until 2003. Their athletic success at the state championship level has raised many concerns from the public sector. The primary problem that the PIAA faces today is the dominance of private schools winning the majority of state titles in all sports. Public schools have geographic boundaries that determine the school a student must ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
