project planning and management
PART 1
1. To what extent does project management apply to Adventures Unlimited?
Each tour established by Adventures Unlimited could be considered as a single project. Each tour has the destination, and is not routine and repetitive.
The project begins when the consumer and Adventures Unlimited reach the same agreement, and ends when the consumer goes back. Each tour is
unique and never been taken before. That is to say, each tour has the specific time, cost, and performance requirements.
The tour, as one project, can be described in a project life cycle way (see Figure 1, Project Life Cycle adapted from Project Planning and Management
2013). The first stage is defining the tour destination and agreement or contract of the tour. And... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To meet the demand of the consumer and the feasible budget, the project manager has to fully allocate the useful resources and get the same agreement
with the consumer. Using the financial model and take all possible satiation into consideration to make the budget efficiency.
Another essential training is risk management. In the material, it can be found that the Rodriguezes has little effect after unexpected situation
happened. The administrative may get another plan before department. Then consumers will not complain about when the tour is disturbed or the
schedule is changed. In the material, the manager failed to solve the problem (train missing), and then the entire schedule was delay. If the
Rodriguezes or the tour guide could book the flight in advance or make one more sightseeing plan, the problem could be remedied.
The third issue would be the communication management. The delivery of the tour would be out of consumers' expectation. The Rodriguezes and
consumer should get the same agreement about the level of quality of accommodations and price. The contract is essential to protect the right of both
sides. The clear delivery of the tour information is a must, or the unpleasant consumers' emotion may also lead to the bad reputation of the business.
The final topic is the insurance. The Rodriguezes can cooperate with the insurance company to make the consumer safe and reduce the risk of the
company. Due to the healthy issue, the bad case of food

The Breakdown of Family Life
"There is an increasing concern about what some politicians have described as 'the breakdown of family life ' and they have suggested that the only
way to fix 'a broken society ' is to place more emphasis on marriage and a return to traditional values."
Examine what are commonly believed to be 'traditional values '.
How far, and for what reasons, do you agree that we are currently witnessing 'the breakdown of traditional family life ' in Britain?
'Traditional values ' simply means coming from tradition rather than any specific philosopher, moralist or writer. Since the 1970 's, 'traditional values '
have become synonymous with 'family values ' and imply a congruence with mainstream Christianity, and have been in ... Show more content on

The Archbishop of York used this argument in a piece in the Guardian when referring to 'the complementary nature of men and women '. However, if
this is the case, it is therefore unfair for heterosexual couples to marry if either is infertile as they cannot pro–create either. Arguments based on the
'traditional family life ' will always be insulting to homosexuals as there is no proof they are not capable of being able to raise children and be good
parents regardless of their gender.
According to the Office of National Statistics, more people are living alone, are being raised by single parents, and an increasing amount of grown
up children are still living with their parents than in previous years. The 'nuclear family ' has been described by one expert as a 'museum piece ',
emphasising the fact that it is a part of history now. Figures showed that 30 percent of women under 30 had given birth by the age of 25, while 24
percent had married, showing having children is more of a first major milestone to adult life than getting married. These statistics in comparison to
1971 show an extreme difference: three quarters of women were married by 25, and half had given birth. The statistics also showed that the number of
adults living alone doubled in generation, from 6 percent to 12 percent due to divorce, death or marrying at a later age. In reference to the above
statement, the nature of family has changed significantly in the past 30 years so the government are correct

How I Approach Program Development
HOW WOULD I APPROACH PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
Upon reading and reflecting the insight and knowledge gained from this case study my three values for a program development and strategic analysis
would be: a personal connection with the local population, minimizing hierarchy, and enforcing accountability and transparency in the organization. In
terms of who I would work with, I favour the idea of working in a smaller organization. I would accept funds from multilateral organizations, not the
government, and I would be working at the local level. Working in a smaller organization at the local level allows for greater accountability and a
lesser chance of conflicting motives. As previously mentioned, smaller organizations may lead to exclusion. To prevent this I would be willing to work
with like–minded small organizations to divide the population. My main interest would be cultivating a relationship with the population. The personal
connection with the population is probably the hardest task because we are not all as willing as Roy to immerse ourselves in the community. This
relationship also relies on the population because they need to be willing to share and collaborate. This connection is the most important because it
allows for the strongest trust and the greatest understanding of the needs in the area that we are working. It also allows us to ensure that our
endeavours for the project align with our program. Having an extensive understanding the needs specific

Abstract
In the last three decades, pulsed high voltage discharge technology has offered promising techniques for the treatment of wastewaters released to the
environment by industry. A significant effort has been directed towards understanding the processes that occur during the discharge of solutions for a
variety of reactor configurations. This review presents the disadvantages and advantages of different reactors based on discharge phase. Detailed
information is also provided on the principals used in each technique and the advantages and disadvantages associated with each method. Finally, a
discussion on the different discharge areas is presented.

construction of a new highway. However, prior to starting design work, a funding proposal must be prepared that justifies the design and construction
expense. If the proposal is approved, a detailed survey will be performed on the proposed right of way (ROW). After the survey is completed, ROW
clearance activities will be performed that include utility relocation, easement acquisition, and environmental investigations and cleanup.
Design activities generally proceed concurrently with the ROW clearance activities, and close communication between the two groups is essential.
Design activities start with an agreed–upon statement of project objectives. Subsequent activities include traffic management and safety planning,
preliminary design, and final design.
After design activities are completed, a formal request for construction funding is submitted, a project manager is selected, and a construction

Present Versus Future: The Approved Payroll
It is important to define the project scope as this will determine the project depth and boundaries for the project in total. The requirements for the
system must be defined, at the very minimum the desired result needs to be determined. I would define the scope of the payroll project in this case by
determining what the desired end state was, with the help of the director or whomever is in charge of the overall project. I would than compare the
budget to the desired milestones to ascertain how many people I can have working on each phase of the project. With such a short time to implement
the project I would consider modularizing the programing, if budget allows, to shorten development time, maximize testing time, and make sure our

The future constraint refers to those items that can be handled at a later date, in regards to the above case this refers to: The new system and the
required cost.
Internal versus External: Internal constraints are those constraints required by the company or department and in the above case refers to: the IT
director, payroll department, and management. External constraints are placed on the organization by a governing or regulating body, in this case the
government or the employment authorities.
Mandatory versus Desirable: Mandatory constraints must be completed while desirable constraints are determined by the end user or IT director.
Some of the mandatory constraints in this case are the final design and the amount budgeted for the project. Some of the desirable constraints are the
need to reduce errors and the amount of administrative work time required and the desire to avoid fines and penalties. I would ask if the users of the
system will be working with the development team to prevent setbacks and the need to re–design the system before

Budgeting Is The Most Important Parts Of The Project...
Budgeting is one of the most important parts of the project planning process. Projects that come in at or under budget when completed depends on it.
Poor planning will lead to budget crisis – where the project could end up costing double or triple times the budget and delay the opening of a facility or
business by that same token; time is money. As Dr. Pace mentions, had the planners of the Irwin Army Community Hospital paid attention to the budget
planning, the sponsor might have realized the short comings of that project (G. Pace, personal communication, December 3, 2015). Therefore,
budgeting is the most important out of planning projects. Bottom line, the customers already know what they want to do and about a ball park figure

The scope of the project gets defined in the work breakdown structure (WBS), where the schedules are planned, and resources are assigned; at which
the project manager are more familiar and can estimate more precisely to an agreeable point with the customers. "Project scope has a great influence
on the accuracy of cost estimates" (Ciraci & Polat, 2009).
"The delay and disruption caused by bad estimation may lead to project failure (Lee et al. 2009) or at best to project management failure, that is, not
delivering the project on time, within budget, and per specifications" (Khamooshi & Cioffi, 2013). Projects that come in at or under budget when

Riba Plan Of Work
Strategic Definition is a stage in the RIBA Plan of Work 2013. Precisely this is Stage 0 of the plan where there are many tasks. In the first task bar
called the core objectives task, the architect is required to identify the client's Business Case and Strategic Brief as well as other core project
requirements. The Business Case shows the reason for beginning a project or task. It is a mix of objective and subjective considerations. The Strategic
Brief is the brief prepared to enable the strategic definition of a project. The strategic considerations may include considering different sites or deciding
whether we to extend, refurbish or build new projects. The second task in the Strategic Definition stage is Procurement. At this stage, the architect needs
to have initial considerations for building the project team. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Progressive Prank Protection Commercial Examples
The two ads I chose were the Nationwide 'Baby' commercial and the Progressive prank protection commercial. I chose these ads because they show a
practical product, that most people use, in an funny and unrelated way. The nationwide ad shows a man taking care of a baby as if it is a car. This
commercial is used to promote car insurance. The progressive ad shows agents Flo and Jamie sneaking around in the night pulling off their own
version of pranks: fixing mailboxes, replacing windows, and leaving paper bags with money on doorsteps. This commercial is used to promote home
insurance. Nationwide and Progressive are two well–known insurance companies.
The first ad I will talk about is the Nationwide 'Baby' ad. The ad starts off with a man washing his baby in his driveway the same way one would
wash a car (Nationwide). The ad goes on to show car related situations with a baby like running into a fire hydrant, car repair shop, and in a grocery
store parking lot. The ad shows how Nationwide will protect what's precious to you by making it precious to them. Therefore, just like a baby is
precious and people will do anything to protect their baby, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
People who own cars would likely watch this ad because they may want to change insurance companies or to confirm their decision in getting

if a person is looking for an insurance company that has good service and truly cares, then the Nationwide 'Baby' ad would be a good start of them
choosing a new insurance company. For people who already are Nationwide customers can be assured that they are a part of a caring company

L.O.3.4: Assuming Some Changes in Original Plan and Evaluate how these Changes could be Managed to have Impact on the Project Deliverables:
The anything which is constant in world of modern business is the Change, mentioned by known business scholar Salman (2012). The project is
therefore subject to changes time to time and these changes may be in schedules of project, its scope and output, required deliverables, time to be
completed and cost in which project has to be completed and among numerous other aspects. In field of project management if there is some changes
required, it does not means to termination of project instead it covers the changes in different mentioned aspects which in case of Palm Tree Spa
covers the changed goals and objectives (Aleesha, 2014). These changes have been taken into account due to availability of required resources
(Lavagnon et. al., 2010).
These changes may also cover the changes in targets of organization and among other aspects of project. Expected changes in case of Palm Tree Spa
can be categorized into following major categories including:
1.Technical Changes: Technical Changes refers to the changes in scope of project internally like in case of Palm Tree Spa, in project of installation of
new Management Information System, the technical changes many include changes in the plans and schedules of project and so on.
2.Market Changes: The market changes are the changes in project or its different aspects due to the external

The Breakdown Of The Traditional Family Division Of...
During the late 20th century, the world has witnessed "all sorts of social and technological changes" due to globalisation (Bologun, Sutherland and
Oswick, 2015). In fact, the breakdown of the traditional family division of labour, instant communication through technology, and the increased
complexity of organisational objectives have favour gender equality and diversity. Those changes have pressure companies to improve their work
structure to be more competitive and to the extent that the idea of an effective leadership has come under pressure to change too. Indeed, organisations
have become less hierarchical and more decentralised networks where the traditional source of power erode, and talents instead of nepotism are

They found out that female and male leaders have equal concern for the task. However, women manifest more concern for an interpersonal relationship
than men (Eagly and Johannesen‐Schmidt, 2001). Moreover, using Blake and Mouton (1964) framework, women show a more democratic (or
participative) style, which facilitates collaboration, and less autocratic (or directive) style, that don't enhance followers' creativity. Thus, according to
the contemporary standard, women manifested more appropriate traits for being an effective leader.
Furthermore, Eagly and Carli (2003) also conclude that female leader were more transformational and applied contingent reward behaviours which is
one of transactional leadership component. Conversely, male leaders were more likely to involve two other aspects of transactional leadership which
are active management by exception (waiting for a follower's mistake to corrected it) and passive management by exception (waiting for issues to
become severe before solving it). Men also show a relatively high interest in laissez–faire leadership. That different categorization of leadership style
became popular by Burns in 1978 and then Bass in 1985. Transformational leadership "intellectually stimulate" and "inspire" their

A Research Project On Magellan Aerospace Wrexham Essay
Introduction This project plan has been written after task 1 and 2 have been completed. The project problem was outlined in September and market
research followed. For the detailed project problem, a workshop was carried out to get the perspective from the inspectors and managers in
Wrexham to outline their biggest concerns. Next market research was carried out to identify whether a CMM upgrade was suited or whether the new
technology was needed to be purchased to overcome the problems. The decision was made that a CMM upgrade would be most suited so that would
formulate the provisional project plan Details of these tasks will be commented on in detail in the final project report. By the end of this project, the
issues with one of the CMM machines at Magellan Aerospace Wrexham will be addressed and successfully have new measures implemented. As
mentioned in the proposal this is a continuation of a wider project to either replace or retrofit all the CMM machines within the business. This project
plan will be using tools that will be actively used throughout the project to actively manage and be adjusted to suit the changing course of the project.
Project Aims and Objectives Aim Implement a new system into the Wrexham CMM machine demonstrating a reduced measurement time of 50%

Comparing "Apocalypse Now" and "Saving Private Ryan" Desai Abdul–Razzaaq HIST 1302 – American History IIMr. Daniel Bush Central Texas

They both had very realistic qualities and great cinematic values. The films had two great Hollywood directors in, Steven Spielberg directing

The famous Hollywood director, Steven Spielberg, through his 1998 blockbuster film "Saving Private Ryan," gave us a glimpse into the realities of
war, in particular, World War II 's D
–day invasion and the immediate aftermath, as it played out in the European theater. The story opens with a
prologue, in which a veteran brings his family to the American cemetery at Normandy, and in a flashback he joins Captain John Miller, played by
Tom Hanks, and GIs in a landing craft making the June 6, 1944 approach to Omaha Beach to face devastating German artillery fire. This mass
slaughter of American soldiers is depicted in a compelling, unforgettable 24–minute sequence. Afterwards, he is then given a new mission, to find and
extract Private James Francis Ryan, played by Matt Damon, one of four brothers, the other three of whom have been killed in action within days of
each other. Because Private Ryan was the last remaining son of a grieving mother, Washington D.C. has ordered his extraction and his return home.
Again in contrast to "Apocalypse Now", whereas the taking of one man's life was the goal, in "Saving Private Ryan", the goal was the saving of one
man's life. Even further, Captain Miller and his men realize this is not a simple mission to save a

Assignment 1: Personal Financial Analysis
In this article, the main point the author is trying to rise is that making a holistic plan, just like those kinds of plan that people make for a long
journey, can help individuals to achieve the goals they set for a secure financial future. He utilizes planning for retirement as an example. As the
author indicates in the article, to establish an executable retirement plan, or any other types of financial plan, the first step is to get everything
organized, including putting together a budget and get all personal financial information in one place. This is a good starting point and essential for
people to manage personal financial life. Then, the next step is to set goals, determine what, where and when individuals desire to work toward. Those
goals need to be realistic and relates to what people really want, so they can provide the maximum motivation to drive people to reach the targets. To

Ernest J. Gaines's A Lesson Before Dying
"I was not there, yet I was there. No, I did not go to the trial, I did not hear the verdict, because I knew all the time what it would be..." (3). Ernest J.
Gaines begins his contemporary masterpiece with a captivating and explosive first paragraph. Immediately capturing the reader's attention, the fast
paced novel takes us on a voyage of thematic discovery. Through the voice of Grant Wiggins, a school teacher disgruntled by his constant struggle for
communal equality, we learn of the present conditions that face our central characters and the contemporary themes that sum up the novel.
Racism is announced at the forefront of the story. The reader is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Grant undoubtedly fears having to take the entire scope of racism on his shoulders alone, knowing that a fatal collapse would be the result. Grant
fiercely displays his anguish in a conversation with his Aunt:
"Everything you sent me to school for, you're stripping me of it," I told my aunt. They were looking at the fire, and I stood behind them with the bag of
food. "The humiliation I had to go through, going in that man's kitchen. The hours I had to wait while they ate and drank and socialized before they
would even see me. Now going up to that jail. To watch them put their dirty hands on that food. To search my body each time as if I'm some kind of
common criminal. Maybe today they'll want to look into my mouth, or my nostrils, or make me strip. Anything to humiliate me. All the things you
wanted me to escape by going to school." (79)
During his emotional spill, Grant resorts to the maniacal thought that his aunt has something to do with the racism he experiences. Ironically, it is the
seemingly racist words of Jefferson's defense attorney that fuels the spectrum of the novel, and the eventual salvation of both Jefferson and Grant.
A chief theme of the novel is commented upon by Grant himself. During a memorable speech given to Vivian, he adamantly explains that a vicious
cycle of male abandonment has taken place in

The S.M.A.R.T. planning model is a guide everyone should follow when making financial goals one wants to achieve, whether they are short or long
term. According to (Siegel & Yacht, 2009) "To be truly useful, goals must be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely (S.M.A.R.T.)."
Before Alive gets started in pursuing her goals, she needs to make sure that all of her goals follow the S.M.A.R.T.planning model. The first step Alice
would have to take is to define her goals. One of her first steps would be to list out each of her goals and specify what she will do to accomplish her
goals and how she will go about executing her goals. After specifying her goals, Alice needs to figure out how she will measure her goals out. She

Provision of Intervension to Prevent Family Breakdown Essay
This case study will draw on a practice case from a statutory Children and Families Intervention Team. The work focused on a family, whose four
children had been removed from their home, and an assessment of parenting skills. The main areas of work include the first initial visit to the family
home, the outcomes of the Child Protection Conference, and observing contact supervision. The themes running throughout the essay and its
composition are; power, empowerment, professional/personal conflicts, removal of children, impact of neglect, gender violence and attachment theory.
The primary objective of the statutory agency I work within is the provision of intervention to prevent family breakdown and reduce the number of
children and young... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition the Working Together (WT) (2013:7) state this as, 'protecting children from maltreatment; preventing impairment of children's health or
development;...and taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes'. Which ultimately were the reasons why the Section.20 had to be
issued. I reflected on my role in the first visit and realised I did not really use any verbal communication, and am aware that I need to build on this
skill. However, through self– awareness, body language, displaying a non–judgmental stance, maintaining eye contact with clients, and being calm may
have also contributed to diffusing the situation (Mandell, 2008) and assisted in building a rapport with the parents which helped me in the next visit.
My next involvement was to undertake a joint–visit with a colleague, unfortunately on the day she was sick so I had to visit alone. The objective of
my visit was to introduce myself, who I was, and what my role and involvement will be with the family. I thought it was important to start to a build
positive relationship in order to be able to work effectively with the parents. In order for me to understand service users and accommodate their needs in
the best way possible, must ultimately be done through the relationship with the service user (Teater,2008).

Issue #3
Project Management Training
Nick seems very excited about the project that Warren is proposing and the fact that he is being entrusted with this new venture. However, he is
clearly unqualified and overwhelmed. Warren says all of the complex things that Nick is in charge of, but he says you have 'plenty ' of time for
planning. There are a couple of issues here. First that Warren hasn't been very specific with the details regarding the scope, budget, and timing. The
other issue is that Nick doesn't have any experience managing a project like this and this is important to CanGo's success.
Resolution
Nick needs to tell Warren that he needs more specific information on scope, timing, and budget for the project. He also needs some Project
Management training to create a Microsoft Project WBS to outline all of the tasks and assign resources to determine if the project is feasible and in the
best interest of the organization. Creating the WBS and Gantt chart will also help determine if they have the necessary resources in–house to do the
work or if it is better to outsource some of the project to offset some of the risks. Right now, Nick doesn 't have any visibility into everything that
needs to be accomplished to complete the project without a plan, nor can he anticipate any risks that would prohibit them from successfully completing
the project. By creating a project plan Nick can identify all tasks, dependencies, costs, and

What are the consequences of the breakdown of the
traditional family for American society?
Definition of family: The Western world regards the family as consisting of two or more people who consider themselves related by blood, marriage,
or adoption; also known as a nuclear family. The extended family includes grandparents, aunts, cousins, etc.
The changing family: At one time families worked together on farms, family trade, etc. They worked as a family to provide for the family. Parents
instilled in their children morals, and values, taught them right from wrong and the consequences for their actions. With the industrial age, the man left

Childcare is not provided by people with an innate love for the child and common family values, it is provided by professional strangers in businesses.
Parents tend to leave the instillation of morals and values up to the day care providers or the school systems. The schoolteachers have an academic
curriculum they are required to fulfill. Children are expected to have a basic knowledge of social interaction, letter and number identification, writing
their names and tying their shoes before entering the school system. Parents do not dedicate time to the learning of these skills, which leaves them
behind academically, causing lower self–esteem and a lack of enthusiasm in learning.
Parents, single or married, do not spend enough time communicating with their children. As a result children do not learn how to act or interact with
others. This decreased their ability to engage in conversations, especially when there are opposing viewpoints, resulting in not learning from one
another, sharing ideas, developing a tolerance or an understanding for different viewpoints.
There is a lack of rules in families today and when there are rules they are not consistently enforced. This causes children to not take responsibility for
their actions or to respect authority. Because there are not enough rules, children are becoming more involved in juvenile crime. These families (parents

and the goal and benefits from the project. Design and Analysis First, the requirements of a desired software product is the first task in making it.
It requires professional software engineers to design and analysis the project, and recognizing the requirement for creating the project, and
discover the missing and incomplete pieces in the project. Prototyping is the early sample of the program. The prototyping should be smaller to
what the company want. The designers made the prototyping to see what the project looks like and are the missing pieces in the project. After that,
the testing step. The testing step is very important step to try the project and sees the effect of it. The designers and analysts will test the project to

What are the primary benefits of developing a comprehensive project scope analysis? A comprehensive project scope analysis serves several benefits
that permit a company to guide the dream of a project to a successful completion. One benefit is transforming the idea of the project into a working
concept. Once the concept is developed, project details can be mapped out. Scope analysis outlines each step of the project in a detailed manner. The
primary benefit to this is it aligns the project so that the final product will be consisted with the original goals/objectives. By outlining each step, scope

Summary: Integrated Change Control Plan
No matter how well a project is planned, there will be changes. As a Project Manager, one should expect it. With that being said, change can impact a
project significantly if it is not planned for and managed well when it occurs. The PMBOK (2013) states that project management is an integrative
undertaking that requires each project and product process to be appropriately aligned and that actions taken during one process typically affect that
process and other related processes. Implementing a contingency plan is necessary to manage change. This is performed through an Integrated Change

However, to manage change, the Project Manger should document every change request and understand why the change request was submitted in
order to formulate a strategy. This information should be documented in a Change Request Form to be able to articulate whether the change impacts
the project budget, schedule, or scope (How to Manage Change Requests, 2016). Change requests may include corrective action, preventive action,
and defect repairs when identified by stakeholders. According the PMBOK (2013), some organizations may even require a formal chartered group to
review and evaluate changes to the project. This is known as a Change Control Board (CCB). The project manager will ascertain the impacts of the
change and decide whether or not it will benefit the project and submit this information to the CCB. The CCB can also require revised cost estimates,
schedule dates and resource management and other documentation in order to facilitate change request. The Project Manager and the CCB are the
approval authority for the change. This change is then submitted to the vendor for sizing and estimate of the cost and must be thoroughly documented.
Whatever the specific circumstances are, the change must be tracked and announced to respective vendors via official communication channels. This is

Structural–functionalists view the family as a unit that meets the need of its members. When the family functions well, it contributes to the stability of

and raising the children. Structural–functionalists feel that these traditional roles make for a strong family unit, in which the children grow up to
become well–functioning members of society.
Rapid social change does not win favor in the structural–functionalist theory. Trends such as single parent households, divorce, and most certainly same
sex couples are seen as major contributors to the breakdown of the family. Of course, the functionalist perspective does not take into account the
realities of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They believe the inequities of traditional marital roles carry over into society and encourage the continuance of social inequality. Because the family, in
most societies, is patriarchal, it is viewed as contributing to the inequality between the sexes. Having definite gender roles sets up the comparison of
work done by the husband (often valued higher because it brings in the salary) versus work done by the wife in the home. Conflict theorists further
believe that [the family unit] works toward the continuance of social inequality within a society by maintaining and reinforcing the status quo by
maintaining wealth and privilege within the unit. In this way, members are able to keep their social status while poor families are denied this privilege

Project Planning And Management

  • 1. project planning and management PART 1 1. Each tour is unique and never been taken before. That is to say, each tour has the specific time, cost, and performance requirements. The tour, as one project, can be described in a project life cycle way (see Figure 1, Project Life Cycle adapted from Project Planning and Management 2013). The first stage is defining the tour destination and agreement or contract of the tour. And... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To meet the demand of the consumer and the feasible budget, the project manager has to fully allocate the useful resources and get the same agreement with the consumer. Using the financial model and take all possible satiation into consideration to make the budget efficiency. Another essential training is risk management. In the material, it can be found that the Rodriguezes has little effect after unexpected situation happened. The administrative may get another plan before department. Then consumers will not complain about when the tour is disturbed or the schedule is changed. In the material, the manager failed to solve the problem (train missing), and then the entire schedule was delay. If the Rodriguezes or the tour guide could book the flight in advance or make one more sightseeing plan, the problem could be remedied. The third issue would be the communication management. The delivery of the tour would be out of consumers' expectation. The Rodriguezes and consumer should get the same agreement about the level of quality of accommodations and price. The contract is essential to protect the right of both sides. The clear delivery of the tour information is a must, or the unpleasant consumers' emotion may also lead to the bad reputation of the business. The final topic is the insurance. The Rodriguezes can cooperate with the insurance company to make the consumer safe and reduce the risk of the company. Due to the healthy issue, the bad case of food ... • 2. The Breakdown of Family Life "There is an increasing concern about what some politicians have described as 'the breakdown of family life ' and they have suggested that the only way to fix 'a broken society ' is to place more emphasis on marriage and a return to traditional values." Examine what are commonly believed to be 'traditional values '. How far, and for what reasons, do you agree that we are currently witnessing 'the breakdown of traditional family life ' in Britain? 'Traditional values ' simply means coming from tradition rather than any specific philosopher, moralist or writer. Since the 1970 's, 'traditional values ' have become synonymous with 'family values ' and imply a congruence with mainstream Christianity, and have been in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Archbishop of York used this argument in a piece in the Guardian when referring to 'the complementary nature of men and women '. However, if this is the case, it is therefore unfair for heterosexual couples to marry if either is infertile as they cannot pro–create either. Arguments based on the 'traditional family life ' will always be insulting to homosexuals as there is no proof they are not capable of being able to raise children and be good parents regardless of their gender. According to the Office of National Statistics, more people are living alone, are being raised by single parents, and an increasing amount of grown up children are still living with their parents than in previous years. The 'nuclear family ' has been described by one expert as a 'museum piece ', emphasising the fact that it is a part of history now. Figures showed that 30 percent of women under 30 had given birth by the age of 25, while 24 percent had married, showing having children is more of a first major milestone to adult life than getting married. These statistics in comparison to 1971 show an extreme difference: three quarters of women were married by 25, and half had given birth. The statistics also showed that the number of adults living alone doubled in generation, from 6 percent to 12 percent due to divorce, death or marrying at a later age. In reference to the above statement, the nature of family has changed significantly in the past 30 years so the government are correct ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. How I Approach Program Development HOW WOULD I APPROACH PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT Upon reading and reflecting the insight and knowledge gained from this case study my three values for a program development and strategic analysis would be: a personal connection with the local population, minimizing hierarchy, and enforcing accountability and transparency in the organization. In terms of who I would work with, I favour the idea of working in a smaller organization. I would accept funds from multilateral organizations, not the government, and I would be working at the local level. Working in a smaller organization at the local level allows for greater accountability and a lesser chance of conflicting motives. As previously mentioned, smaller organizations may lead to exclusion. To prevent this I would be willing to work with like–minded small organizations to divide the population. My main interest would be cultivating a relationship with the population. The personal connection with the population is probably the hardest task because we are not all as willing as Roy to immerse ourselves in the community. This relationship also relies on the population because they need to be willing to share and collaborate. This connection is the most important because it allows for the strongest trust and the greatest understanding of the needs in the area that we are working. It also allows us to ensure that our endeavours for the project align with our program. Having an extensive understanding the needs specific ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I chose these ads because they show a practical product, that most people use, in an funny and unrelated way. The nationwide ad shows a man taking care of a baby as if it is a car. This commercial is used to promote car insurance. The progressive ad shows agents Flo and Jamie sneaking around in the night pulling off their own version of pranks: fixing mailboxes, replacing windows, and leaving paper bags with money on doorsteps. This commercial is used to promote home insurance. Nationwide and Progressive are two well–known insurance companies. The first ad I will talk about is the Nationwide 'Baby' ad. The ad starts off with a man washing his baby in his driveway the same way one would wash a car (Nationwide). The ad goes on to show car related situations with a baby like running into a fire hydrant, car repair shop, and in a grocery store parking lot. The ad shows how Nationwide will protect what's precious to you by making it precious to them. Therefore, just like a baby is precious and people will do anything to protect their baby, ... During the late 20th century, the world has witnessed "all sorts of social and technological changes" due to globalisation (Bologun, Sutherland and Oswick, 2015). In fact, the breakdown of the traditional family division of labour, instant communication through technology, and the increased complexity of organisational objectives have favour gender equality and diversity. Those changes have pressure companies to improve their work structure to be more competitive and to the extent that the idea of an effective leadership has come under pressure to change too. Thus, according to the contemporary standard, women manifested more appropriate traits for being an effective leader. Furthermore, Eagly and Carli (2003) also conclude that female leader were more transformational and applied contingent reward behaviours which is one of transactional leadership component. Conversely, male leaders were more likely to involve two other aspects of transactional leadership which are active management by exception (waiting for a follower's mistake to corrected it) and passive management by exception (waiting for issues to become severe before solving it). Ironically, it is the seemingly racist words of Jefferson's defense attorney that fuels the spectrum of the novel, and the eventual salvation of both Jefferson and Grant. A chief theme of the novel is commented upon by Grant himself. During a memorable speech given to Vivian, he adamantly explains that a vicious cycle of male abandonment has taken place in

However, through self– awareness, body language, displaying a non–judgmental stance, maintaining eye contact with clients, and being calm may have also contributed to diffusing the situation (Mandell, 2008) and assisted in building a rapport with the parents which helped me in the next visit. My next involvement was to undertake a joint–visit with a colleague, unfortunately on the day she was sick so I had to visit alone. The objective of my visit was to introduce myself, who I was, and what my role and involvement will be with the family. I thought it was important to start to a build positive relationship in order to be able to work effectively with the parents. Children are expected to have a basic knowledge of social interaction, letter and number identification, writing their names and tying their shoes before entering the school system. Parents do not dedicate time to the learning of these skills, which leaves them behind academically, causing lower self–esteem and a lack of enthusiasm in learning. Parents, single or married, do not spend enough time communicating with their children. As a result children do not learn how to act or interact with others. This decreased their ability to engage in conversations, especially when there are opposing viewpoints, resulting in not learning from one another, sharing ideas, developing a tolerance or an understanding for different viewpoints. There is a lack of rules in families today and when there are rules they are not consistently enforced. This causes children to not take responsibility for their actions or to respect authority. Because there are not enough rules, children are becoming more involved in juvenile crime. These families (parents and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

With that being said, change can impact a project significantly if it is not planned for and managed well when it occurs.
