An analysis of my questionnaire results

1. This result may seem bias at first but it reflects the balance of males and
females in my class. By knowing the age of the audience, it gives me a
better idea of what sort of content is suitable for my website and the
audience of my website.

2. This allows me to have an understanding of who is reviewing my
website and whether I have bias results because of that. In my case
most of the respondents were male. This reflected the gender
balance in my class, where most people are also male. This would
suggest more males are interested in practical media, generally
speaking, than females so perhaps the responses to my
questionnaire are not as biased as it may first appear, but actually
reflect the gender balance of web audiences.

3. I can have understanding of what type of people are looking at my
website. This open question for occupation highlights the fact that
all my respondents were media students. This is actually a good
thing as they know what they’re looking for so I should get good
feedback and they are the target age range for my ePortfolio.

4. This open question allows me to get the qualitative feedback that I need
to improve my website and it is also useful as it gives me feedback about
what my audience like about my website. Users have suggested I improve
my homepage and after this I think I will.

5. Using this rating question allows me to get an
understanding of how easy it is to use my site on the
basis of the user navigation. Again 100% of people said
the navigation of my site was good or better.

6. This quantitative data is useful because I get an idea of how people
feel about my website and I can use this information to improve my
website. In my case 100% of the people asked said my website was
good or better.

7. This text box open question provided me with qualitative data that is very
useful as it gives the respondents a chance to give me both positive feedback,
negative feedback and explain why it is positive or negative. This gives me
ideas on what to change and improve. It also gives me an idea of what the
respondents liked. As a result of this feedback I improved my homepage.
