2. Summary
The song we chose is Jessie J Sweet Talker. The promo video we will be
making, will be both performance and narrative based as the song is
quite up beat. Briefly analysing the lyrics to the song, we decided that
when it comes to the post chorus it would be a repeated mise-en-scene,
as the lyrics in the post chorus are repeated; “So talk to me”.
Even though the song has quite a slow rhythm , there’s still a party
energetic vibe that runs through the song.
4. Inspiration
These are the professional music videos that inspired the ideas for our promo
music video. These are:
- Cameo – Candy - Beyonce Halo
- Rihanna - Needed Me - Beyonce - Yonce
- Tink – Million - Eve – Tambourine
- Jennifer Lopez - Lopez
5. Casting, props
& location
Locations:
We would film the video in various locations around London and in school. In school we would film in the TV
studio as we have access to various lighting. Around London, we would film in a shopping centre and in public areas in
the city such as roads, along the river etc.
Casting:
There would be one main female actress who will play the lead and we will have extras if needed for the
scene
Props/costumes:
The actress/actresses will be dressed in casual wear and maybe smart casual wear during the video shoot as
they suit
6. Ethical
consideratio
n
The only ethical issues we would have is filming
with a drone, some areas in London don’t allow
drones to fly so before filming in a certain
location we would have to research if we are
allowed.
7. Audience
Our target audience are females with an age demographic of about 16-23.
• They could be college girls, university students or females who are receiving
disposable income.
• Working class
• The music video will predominantly consist of black males and females but
also other races, but they won’t have a significant part, which would affect
the racial profile of the audience as the video would be leaning towards a
predominantly black audience. However, other races will probably watch it.
