1. THE PITCH
By Joe Hall, Harry Wilkinson, Charlie Whitfield and Max
Jones
2. Genre Of Music
The genre we have chosen to base our music video on is Indie. We came to this decision by listening to many
songs that we thought would be a possibility for our music video.
Indie is a pretty easy trend to follow. The majority of us already own and can find clothes that will fit in with
the genre. We all have a big interest in indie music, we know what we need to do to in order to follow this
genre well.
3. Song Choice And Shot Ideas
The song we have selected to use is Sun, by
Two Door Cinema Club. We have chosen this
song because we believe its upbeat rhythm
will be good to edit to. We are planning on
doing a special sequence of shots one including
the artist walking along the sea front, with the
backdrop changing every step he takes to the
beat.
Another shot we are planning to create is a
shot change. We are planning on recording the
car driving along, with the new shot sliding in
at the same speed as the car behind.
4. Track Permission Letter
Dear Parlophone Records
We ( Max Jones, Harry Wilkinson, Joe Hall and Charlie Whitfield) are writing to inform/ask you about permission for use of
one of your songs.
We would like your permission to use one of your songs, ‘Sun’ by Two Door Cinema Club. We would be using this for college
coursework, promotional package for a new band/artist comprising of music video, and 6 panel digipak. We will be using this
track for educational purposes and publishing it to a video platform such as Youtube or Vimeo and embedding it into the
website that we will be creating on wix.com.
Yours Sincerely
Max Jones

5. Justification Of Choice
The reason we chose Sun, by Two Door Cinema Club is because we could produce a music video to perfectly
match the song and genre. The song belongs to the indie genre and therefore we have taken the research we
have done on this genre into account. We believe the actor we intend to use will be a perfect match to the
genre and song. This was an important aspect as we know the importance of visuals and lip syncing. We all
have a pretty good knowledge of the song and know the words well.

10. Mood board
However the shorts could possibly
be a bad idea because they are
very bright and these bright
colours wouldn’t go with the genre
that we are using.
