1. Poster Analysis
The word ‘mental’ suggests
that this film wont just have a
lot going on but it may also
be random and weird
unusual things may happen.
The title itself you can tell
that it will be a teen film
as the words in the title is
what young teenage girls
think about as they start
to grow up. although the
title is quite long for a
stereotypical title it has a
rhythmic flow to it which
makes it catchy.
Here they have put the
billing box in small faint
writing below the title so
your eyes focus on the
title instead of the billing
box.
To attract more of an
audience a poster may say
the names of famous films
that the director previously
worked on.
The main character will always be the
main attraction of the poster. Here you
can tell that she isn’t a normal
teenager because of the position that
she is in you can assume that she
might be slightly more interesting then
a normal teenager.
Here you are able
to see all the other
main featuring
characters and
you can see they
are all positioned
specifically so her
three friends are
grouped together
and her parents
and so on. You
can tell it isn’t too
much of a serious
film has there is a
lot of colour and
doodles in the
poster so the film
shouldn't be taken
so seriously.
