We used several conventions of the psychological thriller genre to attract our audience, including setting the story in an isolated location and making the main character as normal as possible. We created intrigue by not including any dialogue, making the audience guess what would happen next. Many shots focused on the environment to convey a sense of isolation, another common thriller convention. Overall, adopting genre conventions helped attract and engage the target psychological thriller audience.
