2. Digipak
A digipak is packaging for a CD that usually
shows the artist on the front panel and a list of
the artists songs on the back panel. A CD may
also look like a booklet with pages of images of
the artist. This is used so that the audience get
to know the artist more such as their style and
personality through the images.
3. Display of Digipak
In a digipak, the artists name and album name is
displayed on the front clearly so that the target
audience and fans can clearly find it when
looking for music to buy.
There is also the record label information as well
as an image of the artist to catch the audiences
eye.
4. Containing
Inside the digipak, there is often an image of the
artist if not many and the name of the album
and name of the artist themselves. There will
also be information that the audience would like
to know, such as tour dates, if the artist is going
on tour, and the artists website, so the audience
can purchase the aritsts merchandise.
5. Music Industry
Digipaks are important to the music industry as
they promote the artist as a singer. This has many
benefits for the artist and the record label as a
wider audience is built as a result of the promotion
of the artists image. A larger audience and fan base
means that having links in the digipak, (such as the
artists website) leads the audience to the artists
website, and usually purchase of their merchandise.
This makes the artist and their record label more
money as the audience are purchasing the artists
music but also their merchandise, further
promoting the artist.
