1. BTEC FD VIDEO PRODUCTION: CREATIVE THINKING
Narrative (storyline): The outline of our idea is a
crane digging out the E4 logo from a box of Lego.
And then the crane lowers the E4 logo and places
it on the ground and then a car comes along and
crashes into the E4 logo and the logo smashes
into loads of pieces of Lego.
Iconography: The
icon/ Logo that we
will be using is the
E4 logo as it is the
ident that we are
creating it for and
the pantone colour
we’ll be using is the
colour purple as it’s
the originally colour
of the E4 logo.
Lighting (colours): For the lighting we will
use a lamp as it would bring out the
colours of the Lego and show higher
quality in our ident video. As we’re going
to be using our media classroom for our
work space to film our Ident advert we
will be able to keep the light consistent as
there will be no clouds covering up the
sun. This is why we’re also going to use
the lamp as it will keep the same light
consistency throughout filming the ident.
Theme: energy, extreme sports
Characters: Lego box, crane, E4 logo and car.
These characters are used because our idea is
simple and easy. As we managed not to
create many characters we have made it
easier for ourselves to film our ident as all we
have to move around really is the crane
picking up the E4 logo from the bucket full of
Lego and then a car crashing into the E4 logo
and the E4 logo smashes and brakes into
loads of small pieces of Lego.

Environment (setting): The environment we will be
filming in is in our class room in Media. As we don’t
need a massive space to work in, we can just work in
our classroom in media, as it’s a small work space
and is the right environment for us t work in as we
don’t have to worry about any wind blowing so
nothing falls down and we can also keep our light on
the same consistency as there are no clouds covering
up the sun.
