Austrelia. Also found in maharastra.
• Cultivation & Collection: variety of soil – prefer sandy loam soil,
rich with organic matter. Rainfall- 250 cm , humide climate is
required.
• Prppogated by seed. First nursary then transplanted into field at
distance 60 * 60 , support of bamboo stakes.
• Root are harvested 2 years in month of winter. Root collect immidiatly
and cut into small pieces. Dried in shade.

tonic, antispasmodic, an aphrodisiac, demulcent, digestive, diuretic.
• Satavari -1 is reported to exert anti oxytocic activity.
• In Ayurvedic system of medecine it is widely used both in threatened
abortion and safe delivery because of its distinct uterine blocking
activity.

• Contain Steroidal saponin Satavarin I-IV (Asparoside B) major glycoside
containing 3 glucose & 1 rhamnose.
• Aglycone unit is sarsapogenin.
• Shatavarin IV (or asparnin B) containing 2 glucose 1 rhamnose.
• Also contain sitosterol, Quarcetin, rutin, immunoside, etc…
