2. First of all, I used the ‘Unsharp Mask’ tool to make sure that the image is better quality and if there is any blur on the
motherboard it would be removed a little bit. I made sure that the motherboard was very clear because I want that to
stand out for the magazine.
3. Then I duplicated the layer 3 times, and then I selected one of the layers and cut out the motherboard so that I could
blur the background. I done this because I wanted the background to be blurred out more so that the motherboard is
the main focus of the picture.
4. Then I used the ‘Brush Tool’ and made the brush white so that I could go over something and make it brighter
because you couldn't see the back part of the motherboard. So I used the ‘Brush Tool’ to go over the little bit to make
sure that you could see it. After I went over it, I turned down the ‘Opacity’ to make sure lines aren’t visible and the
back part is lit up.
5. Then I used the ‘Levels Tool’ to make the image a little bit brighter than it is because I wanted to have more light in it
so the audience can see what is going on in it.
6. Then I used the ‘Crop Tool’ to crop the image to how I liked it, I zoomed in to make the motherboard a bit bigger so
the audience see the main attraction of the picture.
7. Here in this picture, I went onto one of the duplicated layers and made it black and white. Then I added a ‘Vector
Mask’ to the layer so I could cut out the motherboard and make the background of the image black and white, this is
because I wanted to make sure that the audience are only attracted to the motherboard and nothing else.
