This document outlines DepEd Order No. 42 which institutionalizes instructional planning as a critical part of the teaching and learning process. It requires all teachers to prepare either a Daily Lesson Log (DLL) or Detailed Lesson Plan (DLP) depending on their experience. The DLL and DLP must include elements like objectives, content, learning resources, procedures, and reflection. Instructional planning is important for effective teaching and helps teachers deliver quality lessons aligned with the K to 12 curriculum. Compliance will be monitored through the RPMS performance assessment system.
