1. Communication is the process of passing information from one person to another. It is the
information that is transmitted, studied, analyzed and interpreted, and stored. The
communication may be written or oral, formal, informal, upward, downward, horizontal,
diagonal, interpersonal, intrapersonal, interdepartmental, or intra-organizational.
The purpose of communication is to understand information. Communication helps
understand people better removing misunderstandingsand creatingclarity of thoughts and
expression. It also educates people, and the right information should reach the right person,
at right time or in the hands of management of any organization to bring about an overall
change in the organizational policies, procedures, and work style and make the staff accept
and respond positively.
