(February 2008 – December 2011)
Control system lead engineer for world’s largest Polysilicon plant. Coordinated control systems
and instrument design between the China, Philippines, and US design centers and the project MAV
(Emerson PM). Site responsibilities included supervising additional control systems engineering, startup
and checkout of MAV equipment and packaged unit control systems, and assisting the client in setting
up maintenance and operations procedures.

2. Oyu Tolgoi Mining Project, Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., Oyu Tolgoi, Mongolia (May 2006-February 2008)
Infrastructure electrical, controls and communications lead engineer on green-field copper and gold
mine in South-central Mongolia. Supervised/contracted engineering for 250MW 220kV and 35kV
power reticulation including on-site and bore field transmission lines and substations, 24 MW diesel
power station; control systems for infrastructure facilities; site-wide communication backbone,
DTR system, security and fire alarm system and LAN/telephone system. Supervised electrical and
auxiliary systems design for camp facilities and boiler. Assisted in coordination of E&CS engineering
between design centers in China, Mongolia and Canada including selection of the Main Electrical
Vendor (MEV) and creation of project electrical equipment catalogue.
Integrated Isocyanates Project, BASF/HUNTSMAN, Caojing, China (August 2004- May 2006)
Supervised control and instrumentation design by Chinese Design Institutes. Coordinated DCS
hardware design with Emerson Process Management(MAV). Coordinated design between Shanghai
Taiwan and Korean design centers. Lead on-site controls and instrumentation engineer. Coordinated
loop checking by MAV and construction contractors.
PR05 Humalog Production Facility, Eli Lilly, Carolina, Puerto Rico (January 2004-July 2004)
Supervised the work of fire alarm, telecommunications, security and HVAC control systems sub-
contractors. Directed the work of the Fluor Daniel electrical and controls craft on the last phase of
construction. Negotiated and awarded new contracts for remaining electrical and controls scope and
oversaw the scope completion by sub-contractors.
Humalog Capacity Integration Project, Eli Lilly, Indianapolis, Indiana (July 2003 – January 2004)
Superintendant for the construction of the electrical, control, life safety, and security systems in
new Humalog production area with 30 electricians and foremen. Provided on-site engineering
support. Developed quality plan and oversaw the completion of construction quality assurance
documentation.
Quality Upgrade Projects, Eli Lilly, Indianapolis, Indiana (May 2002 – June 2003)
Lead electrical and controls engineer on projects to bring existing production building into
compliance with FDA cleanliness protocols and GMP regulations. Developed and presented
to the client a new airlock scheme to be incorporated site-wide.
Rate Increase Project, ICI Paint, Commerce, California (January 2002-May 2002)
Designed electrical and control systems to more than double output capacity of existing plant without
interrupting production. Interfaced with vendors for security system and motor control center packages.
Developed single lines, elementaries, and equipment specifications. Performed field audit of electrical
and control systems. Assisted power study of existing power distribution system.
Ivorydale Soap Plant, Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati, OH (July 2001-December 2001)
Retrofitted 100 year old manufacturing building with new Allen Bradley ControlLogix control
system. Upgraded electrical and controls for dust control and airvey systems. Provided

Power Distribution and lighting design for world’s largest bio-pharmaceutical research facility.
Developed lighting plan in accordance with California Title 24 efficiency standards. Provided
detailed power plan including UPS and 100% emergency backup power system.
Fabrication Facility, Intel, Hudson, Massachusetts (Feb.-April 2001)
Construction support for controls and life safety systems. Oversaw construction for new microchip
fabrication facility. Provided construction support as required. Verified contractor installation.
Fabrication Upgrade Projects, IBM, Burlington, Vermont (2000 – 2001)
Lead controls engineer on the design and construction of manufacturing and testing cleanroom
areas. Participated as controls lead in the focus process for new 30MM chip testing facility. Designed
controls for clean room air handling and particle monitoring systems. Developed scheme for IBM main
lobby security system. Responsible for design of life safety installations and upgrades including the
life safety notification, site monitoring, CCTV, fire alarm, and tool monitoring systems. Upgraded voice
and data telecommunications for chip fabrication area.
New Site Paper Project, Procter & Gamble, Cape Girardeau, Missouri (1998 - 2000)
Controls engineer for electrical checkout and startup of product recycling system. Performed
electrical checkout and startup of two burner systems controlled by Triconex PLC. Established
communication between Triconex , Honeywell , Modicon, and Allen Bradley control systems.
Developed logic and programmed Modicon PLC for product recycling and chemical additives.
Pringles Global One Project, Procter & Gamble, Jackson Tennessee (1997 - 1998)
Responsible for specification of instrumentation on global Pringles design. Performed studies
for motor safety verification on global electrical design. Managed Access database containing
instrument and electrical information for several manufacturing lines.
