11. When he gets shifted to his relatives house because of lack of money, and also nearness to the film city, he comes
across Tina (Jacqueline fernandes). Both recognizes each other. As they both met earlier but never talked and she
even liked him. But when she talked to him for the first time she starts hating him because as he opens his mouth he
turns out to be a gawar and not stylish and modern as he looks and dresses up.
Tina lives just the next door. Dattu falls in love with her and tries to woo her by showing that he is very good in
singing, with the help of his friend-Vidyapati (Paresh Rawal), who has been a theatre artist for a very long time and is
also a good singer, but while all this happens, the music teacher of Tina- Prof. Iyer (Johnny Lever) is also after her and
encourages her to heap more insults at Dattu.
In the real Vidyapati is the one singing at the back and not is just doing the lisping.
In the end she agrees to marry him but again problems arises when she finds out the truth but it end happily.
The story of the movie is set in the suburbs of Mumbai, near the Goregaon Film City.
Dattu (Ritesh Deshmukh) is an introvert, yet confident, jobless, 26 year old. He comes to
Mumbai to try his luck in the field of acting, but remains a junior artist but is very fond of
western music and dance, though he doesn’t understand it.
WhileTina is a fun loving, bubbly and egoistic girl but soft at heart. She is completely
modern but has a passion for classical music.
