SKILLS
Responsibilities includes:
1. Carry out on-stream condition monitoring of equipments and QA/QC of all maintenance activities to
ensure safe and reliable operations.
2. Conduct internal, external planned & unplanned inspections on all static equipments/facilities.
3. Coordinate with NDT group after determining the appropriate NDT method applicable to assess the
equipment condition.
4. Issue Method statement with repair procedures and testing requirement confirming to Approve welding
procedures which are made in line with the Engineering & International Standards.
5. Maintain inspection files, keep records up-to-date.
6. Identify the type of corrosion/deterioration to the equipment or piping & initiate appropriate monitoring
methods in consultation with Process & Corrosion Groups.
7. Prepare job lists of testing and inspection (T&I) requirements for all equipments and piping circuits
and participate to finalize the T&I scope of work including materials requirements.
8. Work with minimum supervision following all company safety procedures, standards and regulations.
9. Checks and approves structure modifications associated with plant and equipment in accordance with
the Company’s procedures for such work.
10. Provides a Workshop inspection service for overhaul of pressure safety valves, pipework and structural
work, fabrication, etc. including hardness testing, crack detection and radiographic examinations as
quality control.
11. Advises and recommends required repairs or replacements to defective equipment and carries out
further inspections after repair work to ensure conformity to approved standards and codes.
12. Carries out other related duties, such as keeping abreast of new technical methods of inspection,
especially in the field of non-destructive testing, carrying out inspection and certification of all forms of
lifting tackle and lifting machines, etc.
