The document provides information for planning a college magazine. Research was conducted through questionnaires and interviews with students. Key findings include that the target audience is female students aged 17-18, the magazine should be produced monthly, focus on college events and gossip, and cost no more than £2 per issue. The magazine will use informal language and eye-catching design to appeal to students.

3. Interviews
Having interviewed three students that attend Archbishop Ilsley college I have
found out what they would like their college magazine to contain.
Kirsty says…
‘I defiantly think there should be a college magazine containing
information on up coming events that are relevant to the sixth formers
as it would be a good way of keeping up to date with what the college
is offering.I would however be hesitant to buy it if it was any more than
£2 ’.
Jordan says…
‘If there was a college magazine I would want it to be to the point making it
easier to flick though but still take in all the information given.I would like it to
contain sport related information and activities that would encourage my
participation in college sports and news that would interest me’ I wouldn’t like
to pay more than £1.
Hannah says…
‘She would like the college magazine to be written on a monthly basis containing
all the events that are available to the sixth former, after school classes, revision
session date e.t.c almost like a second diary but more fun and less formal to
read bright eye catching text is essential as that is what appeals to me about
magazines’.

6. Analysis…
Having gathered all the information from the questionnaire I produced
it is clear to see that the target audience of a college magazine
would be gender -female aged 17years to 18years.Majority of the
students that took part in the survey say that they would pay no more
than £2 for the magazine as the content would be college related and
contain limited information and gossip about the out side world
,I am hoping to produce a magazine that appeals to both genders.
My magazine is not going to be written in a formal language which will
hopefully encourage the students to buy it as it will be in there language.
I want it to be well set out and eye catching with intriguing stand out
titles. Also the students voted that the magazine was produced on a
monthly basis so I shall be sticking with that and delivering it on the
1st of every month.
