Professional employment history
Support BAU (Business as usual) Product development of Abatement systems and Projects in Exhaust
Management that is integral to manufacturing processes for Semiconductors.

• Follow company PCP procedure to lead projects and work packages for main system variants.

Edwards is a leading developer and manufacturer of sophisticated vacuum products, exhaust management
systems whose main objective is destruction of toxic and global warming gases, which impact our environment.
Edwards solutions are integral to manufacturing processes for semiconductors, flat panel displays, LEDs and
solar cells.
2019 - present
Project Management
I managed remedial investigation project for a large abatement system (Neptune) to design and develop
products; establish maintenance processes for site team in China.
Supported Mechanical work packages delivery for Spectra abatement system. I managed a team of 5 outsourced
resources (GECIA) for various design related activities.
Key responsibilities
• Prepared and conducted design reviews (through out the lifecycle of the new product) to comply with EN
standards.
• Prepared technical reports and presentation for Project/Stakeholder Meetings
• Carried out design related activities (modelling and analysis) along with prototyping and lab tests
• Managed Project timeline, scope and risks while reporting to the Product Manager
• Coordinated supply chain activities to improve lead time

2. Led the design and development of various engineering prototype products: CNC Machined parts, Sheet metals,
Ancillary tyre parts, car aerodynamic structures, wind tunnel models etc.
Key responsibilities
• Carry out structural analysis of assemblies by FEA tools – analysing results such as Displacement and Von-
Mises stresses etc, and recommend design change.
• Conduct manufacturing feasibility study by strong engineering knowledge to make sure optimum and efficient
manufacturing method & sequences of operations needed to perform are adopted.
• Extensive experience in utilising SolidWorks Sheetmetal, weldment, and CAM modules.
• Knowledge of specific manufacturing related calculation eg. Press tool tonnage, shearing strength etc
• Draughting manufacturing drawings for the workshop team with proper GD&T
• Liaise with consultants, external and internal engineers to develop prototypes eg. wind tunnel test models
• Responsible for the management and maintenance of 3D printers. Optimise snap-fit design to 3D print out-of-
bound 3D print volume
• Prepare engineering reports, animations, and visualisation for technical communication with manufacturers,
Engineers etc.
Designed and developed an industry standard Ahmed Body with novel design features for Wind Tunnel tests by
insourcing major design element to be additive manufactured in-house thus reducing expensive tooling
requirement for the bespoke design. Previous engineering experience and strong 3D printing skills enabled me
to deliver the product with strict adherence to quality criteria. The final product was an amalgamation of a variety
of manufacturing processes viz. Sheetmetal, weldment as well as wood machining. The task was able to cut
down cost by a significant percent.
