Objective: I’mlooking for a full time position that will allow me to excel and expand my
knowledge with potential for promotion.
Experience:
Fairweather & International Clothiers July 22nd 2014 – Present
435 Stone Road Mall Guelph On
Manager: Susan Lopez (519) 836-3312
I am a key-holder as well as part of the assistant management team for both locations. My
responsibilities include opening and closing the store, which consists: of counting tills,
opening/closing the system, submitting timecards for payroll, daily inventory counts, and
making a game plan for my team. I also had to fix any inconsistencies in the system; including
shrinkage, errors in clocking in/out, and till variances.
Other duties consisted of making schedules, inputting the approved schedule, communicating
with Head Office, transferring stock and implementing directives. When arranging visuals within
the store, I had to move all clothes, displays and fixtures to the appropriate places; creating
visually appealing themes. I also helped with the hiring process. I selected, arranged,
interviewed and called back potential team members.
As a salesperson, I employed loss prevention measures while greeting all customers, informed
them of promotions and frequently offered my assistance which included: finding the
appropriate size, locating the desired product if not in stock, to providing alternatives, etc. I also
dealt with any customer services issues, including returns. I’m proud to say interpersonal
relations are where I shine, I love interacting with customers, and making the experience a
pleasant one.
Valet Car Wash November 19th
2013- August 2014
1007 Gordon St Guelph ON
Site Manager: Michelle DaSilva (519) 823-0792
As an interior cleaner and quality control my tasks ranged from: determining what needed to
be done on the vehicle, customer service, cleaning the interiors of vehicles, checking vehicle
standards, opening and closing duties, handling the chemicals needed on the floor, to general
housekeeping chores.
An interior can consist of a hand wax, shampooing, leather seats, cleaning of vinyl, windows,
applying vinyl protectant, detailing of buttons and crevices, and a tire shine/rims.
After a month, I was promoted to Quality Control. This consisted of going over the entire
interior and exterior, showing the cleaner what they missed and then returning the car to the
customer. It was my job to inform the customer what was done to their vehicle, perform any
further maintenance required and fix any concerns to the best of my ability.
If cars are brought back due to customer dissatisfaction, it is usually delegated to me. Besides
QC’ing, when managers are unavailable it is my responsibility to manage the cars on the floor
and direct the other workers towards the proper activity.
