The digital divide refers to unequal access to information and communication technologies amongst different groups in society. It correlates with knowledge capital, social capital, and human capital. Specifically, the digital divide is related to knowledge capital because not all employees have the same experience and skills with technology. It relates to social capital as users can build online communities and relationships. Finally, it connects to human capital since not all workers have the same skill sets, so education is needed to improve skills and productivity using technologies.

2. DIGITAL DIVIDE
What is the digital divide ?
The digital divide refers to the unequal access individuals have regarding
information and communication technology amongst the different groups in
society and they are not equipped with the knowledge and skills to use the
technology.
3. SOCIAL CAPITAL
Social Capital can be seen as the chains between shared values
and understandings in society that enable individuals and
groups to trust each other and work together. It is the
eagerness of people willing to help each other. Therefore, you
can measure social capital by means of trust, by which ‘favors’
come into play, and people rely on trust by which they expect
people to available when they need them the most. Thus, it is
seen as ‘earning’ social capital by interacting with people and
building good relationships.
4. KNOWLEDGE CAPITAL
• Knowledge Capital refers to the experience, information, knowledge,
skills and learning of the employees within an organization. This creates
a competitive advantage over other businesses, as the business has the
require knowledge set and experience to progress steadily and
productively.
5. HUMAN CAPITAL
• Human capital is the measure of an economy’s value by
looking at an employee’s skill set and sees that not all
labor is on the same level and it can be improved by
investments such as; providing further education training
and special benefits which would lead to a higher
quality/level of production.
6. CAPITAL, KNOWLEDGE
CAPITAL, AND HUMAN
CAPITAL.
Therefore, digital divide correlates with Knowledge capital, as not
everyone in the business etc. has the same amount of experience with
regards to technology. i.e. A top level manager has to do online
presentations using a laptop and data projector, and a middle-level
manager would have to do presentations, however the digital divide
comes into play, as the top-level manager knows how to use a data
projector and laptop, and middle level management does not,
therefore all employees need to be trained in the same way, to have
the same skill set
Digital divide correlates with social capital, as users are constantly
connected online, by which they build online communities, and
interact online, creating a sense of belonging and connectedness and
can build trust relationships.
Human capital correlates with digital divide, as not all labor is seen on
the same level, as not every employee has the same set of skills,
therefore individuals within businesses need to be educated in terms
of online technology’s, thus improving productivity in the business.
