DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT (GENRE & PLOT ELEMENTS FEATURED)
I am going to produce a film poster campaign for a drama comedy movie film as part of the
promotional materials for the film “eclipse “. It is about a biker gang formed by a bunch of
teenagers that gets involved with stronger and proper crime syndicates. The plot elements that I
will feature in the poster are the biker gang uniform with the logo at the back, the setting and the
characters.
OUTLINE OF STYLE
Teaser:
The teaser poster will just be a mid-shot of the biker gang logo at the back of the uniform. In this
poster the back of an anonymous biker will be visible as well as a group of the same bikers with
their motorcycles, this is because it’s a teaser trailer so I don’t want much to be given away about
the movie, so I only revealed the title, logo, and the biker gang genre in this poster, which will
give the audience a slight idea of what the movie is about.
Theatrical poster:
The theatrical poster will include all the main characters, they will be brightly lit with an orange
scheme to make the audience think that they’re not like the stereotypical biker gangs, give them a
sense of justice or honor and to make them seem like the good guys in this story. The main
characters will have different hair styles and dyed hair to make it look more like they are
teenagers with crazy hair styles and colors. This poster will show the characters faces for the first
time to the audience so they can familiarize the characters, in the background of the characters
there will be a landscape of London, which establishes the setting of the movie and lets the
audience know where the story takes place, the names of the characters will not be included so the
audience will wonder what the names are, which will add anticipation to the next poster.
Quad poster:
The quad poster will include our main characters and their gang charging at a rival bike gang.
This will establish the story of the movie and will let the audience know that there is going to be a
massive fight between two rival gangs, which will build anticipation. The color scheme will be
grayer to let the audience know that its gotten more serious from the theatrical poster, which had
light colors. This will also make the audience think that the story will become darker and grittier,
which will fit the criminal genre more and add more anticipation. It will also make the audience
want to see the movie to find out what turn the story will take.

The movie is set in the modern era, so I will used modern style of font, like sans serif or more
bold and bigger style.
TARGET AUDIENCE (AGE, GENDER, LIFESTYLE, INTERESTS, SPENDING
POWER)
My target audience will be male teens 15-18 and older men 20-25, because it has both teenagers and
older men in the movie, the target gender is male because the male audience would be more interested in
gangster criminal films than girls. The lifestyle targeted is the working class, because they will relate to the
lifestyle of the older men in the movie. Interests such as bikes and criminal activities are going to be
targeted because that’s what the movie will be about.
HOW THE POSTERS WILL APPEAL TO THE AUDIENCE
The poster will appeal to the audience through the involvement of teenagers, this will make the
teen audience more interested because it’s their age group.
DISTRIBUTION
Distribution is how a movie is spread around. A poster is a good way of distribution because you
can post posters on social media for many users to see and be interested in it and you can also
have physical posters in locations like the movie theatre, because it’s an appropriate place to
advertise a movie.
MARKETING - HOW & WHERE THE POSTERS WILL BE ADVERTISED
The posters will be advertised on social media because social media is wildly used which means
that millions of people will see it. It also helps how teenagers use social media more, so they will
be more target audience members attracted to the poster. Posters will be spread around theatres in
London seeing as that’s where the story will take place, which means that the audience living in
London will get more hooked than someone living somewhere else, because its just cool seeing a
movie set where you live
