Angle
the angle that is shown in this poster is a neutral view its is a low
angle shot and it is being used to represent the power of the heroes
showing how the characters would look right in front of you this is
good for audience appeal because it shows the person watching it
what it would be like to look at then in the film straight up and works
really well. I think that it would make the person looking at it
interested and wanting to watch it.
Post- Production
For the post production to this product they took a picture of each
character and added it in to a background of sunrise to link into the
title of batman vs superman dawn of justice the previous films and
then added in the initials of the film in the background this suits the
poster and makes it look nice which appeals to the audience and
makes them want to watch it and also buy it for the poster.
Effects
The effects of this poser is that it has lighting at the dawn the reason
for this is because it stands out and shines for the picture this helps
advertise the film and this helps it stand out.
Studio/ location
The location of this poster appears to be on a platform of some sort of
rock with the sun rising in the background and it is on a mountain as
the main characters in the film stand in front of the sunrise, I think
that this is interesting and would appeal to the target audience
because it advertises the type of location that the film may be set in.
this is shown by the various images and posters of the film that the
end battle will be set on a desert like platform which could be where
the final battle would be set.
Audience appeal
This poster for the film justice league meets its expectations in
appealing to the audience as it contains lots of tiny details that a lot of
people would overlook and in doing this when they see the film or
understand the Easter egg it will probably intrigue them as they
wouldn’t of seen it however comic fans and people who grew up with
the cartoon series will notice the hidden details such as batman's
symbol, the shape of auqaman trident, the flashes speed force colour
and the metal that cyborg is made from. These are things that appeal
to an audience of viewers that know what thy are watching and casual
fans or just people looking at it will overlook and all of these
references have links that appeal to that audience and it also appeals
to the casual audience because it shows off the heroes and the light
and what type of a film they will be seeing.
Fonts
The font that is used in this is bold and stands out the reason that this
font was used was in order for it to be visible when its posted around in
light and easy for people to read so they can see it when they are out if
its on a bus stop for example and because the text is big it would be easy
to read at first glance. This will appeal to the target audience because it
stands out and this helps make them see it and stand out.
Composition
The poster for this was created well, each part of it was done separately
the background will have been designed first and then the images of the
characters will have been added in after as well as the title of the poster
and what it is advertising which would be the justice league the
characters have been placed in a straight line facing out which is a hero
pose which links to the fact that it is a super hero movie.
costume
Each of the characters in this poster is wearing a costume and it is to
show that they are super heroes as in the movie, at the front is batman
and he is wearing his dark comic like costume design which works very
well with the movie as it shows that they are linking back to the comics
in the film and its also a link to the animated series of justice league
possibly for a plotline or Easter egg that batman is wearing a white
simple in the 1999 animated series there was a set of episodes called
“justice lords” this link will make a part of the audience that watched
this series as kids and grew up with it happy as this is a famous and well
renowned episode in the series and I also a link to the game injustice
which has millions of players and sales world wide and in story mode to
this game he also at some point bares the white symbol. The flash on
the far right is wearing his normal red and yellow suit which will keep
audiences happy as that sticks to his character and to the comics.
Between batman and the flash is aqua man recently he became a
desired character in the justice league series so he was added to the film
which keeps the audience happy, he has had a big change however in
his appearance making him look more fitted for the role on the film, this
as an end result has made the audience happy at the prospect of getting
a new version of auqaman that has not been seen which to fans of him
certainly sell cinema tickets as it has an interesting new prospect.
Cyborg is on he left of batman, this character is renowned in the kids
cartoons and also comics but has been brought as a character and a
member of the justice league in this film (not for the first time) he has
also been altered in appearance but slightly to fit the criteria for the film
but appeals to a younger audience as they get to see him on the big
screen. Finally on the far left is wonder women who is also staring in the
solo wonder women film coming out just before justice league and she
has an appearance the same as classics just with less colour which also
helps meet the needs of the film but interests the audience.
Lighting
The lighting on this poster symbolises the previous film
by showing the light rising from the dawn and the
previous film was dawn of justice which is a link saying
now that justice league is here dawn has come which
will appeal to fans of the last film as a symbolic link
showing there's going to be light and the hero's will be
the ones that bring it and carry it in the film.
Colour
The colour imagery in this shows that there is going
to be dark and there is going to be light as well as
the characters who are wearing distinguishable
colours on their costume which makes them stand
out and appeal to the audience by being noticeable
and like the comics originally sticking to there roots.

Angle
The angle that this is on is a zoom out shot of Spiderman who is
laying down on the side of a lake or fountain this shows that he is the
main character as it has him at the front of it showing he is a laid
back hero as well by the imagery of the poster to the actual film
when it comes out. This will be interesting to see as a film and this
poster with the angle makes it intriguing as you want to find out
more about the character and why he is so laid back and the angle is
positioned to see the sky which is bright showing it’s a bright film
and above that the angle shows the new York city from the marvel
universe showing that it is a marvel film and is connected to there
universe.
Post- Production
Before this poster was designed its clear that there was a plan and
structure around it as it gives off some information in imagery about
what the film will be and what it will be like and this is interesting
because it shows us that thought does need to go into posters when
they are designed to show off different and subliminal aspects of the
film itself which is a key part of post production.
Effects
The affects on this poster are bright and also gives off the affect that
it is going to be a bright and light themed film due to the different
parts of imagery in the film this is important because it shows the
many different effects that the film with have on the audience and
also what audience is best fitted for this film as the fact it is a bright
poster will catch peoples attention for those who are interested in
bright and light themed films and the affect that this has is that it
appeals to its target audience by keeping it light themed.
Studio/ location
The location that this poster is set in, is new York city and is clear that
thought went into designing this poster. It is set in the marvel
universe as you can see by the way they have put the avengers tower
which is off the marvel films and universe showing how linked it is to
the marvel cinematic universe. The fact that the tower is in the
background is also a link to the target audience as it appeals to fans
of these film franchises and is able to grab there attention and make
them want to see more of the film from the poster which in turn is
what I want to be able to produce in the end of my final project a
poster that is eye catching and really grabs the attention of people
making them want to watch the film and studio is important for this
as it shows the setting and sc3nery of the film which is something
that lots of posters will have in order to advertise.
Audience appeal
This poster appeals to its audience in many different ways, the
starting point of this is that its Spiderman on the front, this shows
that Spiderman is a layed back character as shown on the poster and
is also calm and a typical teenager which headphones on listening to
music and a coat on top showing that its trying to fit into a superhero
as a certain age and how he works around his different life styles.
Another important part is Spiderman's suit which appeals to the
audience by the colour and context behind how comically accurate
the suit is, especially with his eyes that now move thanks to CGI this
really captures the audiences attention in order to appeal to them as
it will match the Spiderman from the comics or cartoons they grew
up with and is also the first time that Spiderman has had a costume
as fictional as this is in live action which also appeals to the
audience. Another part of audience appeal is the background as it
shows how sunny and bright the film is and with the avengers tower
in the background it also shows how linked in it is to the marvel
cinematic universe which is very good and ironic and shows off
Spiderman to be a hero in this on going series.
Colour
The colour imagery in this shows that the film in total is going to be
happy and bright one there is little darkness in it and mostly bright
that and the characters suit is also bright colours instead of a dark
red and dark blue like the original Spiderman had on the first three
movies this Spiderman has a brighter tone showing that he is likely
to be a much brighter Spiderman in colour and attitude. The sky is
clear and blue with few clouds showing there is not must mystery
but a simple plot and its clear to see and understand what's gong on
in the film. The font is also important as it is coloured yellow which is
a bright colour that really stands out and shows that its summer
feeling which is convenient as it is out at summer which is important.
Composition
The poster for this was created well and exactly what type of film
that you will be watching if you go to see it although the trailers are
out and it could prove to be different this poster is meant to show
off the character in a bright light and ls to show that there's lots of
clear and blue sky's in the film and this is good because it represents
the different parts of the film and the different aspects of it and this
can then show how it will come together on screen for the poster so
in conclusion the composition of the film is very good and shows
that its been executed well to give off the impression and
cunningness that this poster does and how it all comes together so
well in the end for a final result.
Lighting
The lighting in this is bright and shows that it is a nice relaxed
and happy film with darkness under Spiderman it does show
that there is a possibility of dark scenes but it ultimately shows
the lightings affects on the audiences perception.
Fonts
The font used in this is bright yellow and serves as summer
feel to the release date which is in summer but also it’s a
bold and bright font symbolising the atmosphere of the film
and it comes together well and works to an advantage of
audience appeal in the poster.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cxixDgHUYw – Justice League Trailer
Angle
In this trailer the angles try and show off in
depth footage of the heroes in it side by side
showing them to be powerful with heroes
shots and this makes it very impressive. Tis uses
a heroes shot to portray this image of heroes.
Post- Production
before this trailer came out there was lots of
hype for it as people was waiting and really
looking forward to coming out. The reason for
this is the history of it with justice leagues
renowned animation coming out on November
17th 1999 no the film is coming out in live
action on November 17th 2017 and this has
made it more and more hyped up because
people want to see what they do with it, this is
why the trailer had lots of people looking
forward to it because more and more people
wanted to see it. Lots of time has gone in to
making this film and the dceu has been
planned for 5 years and now that the film is in
production it is looking like its going to be a
very popular with the amount of people that
will go to see it.
Effects
The affects this has in it, the affect on the
viewer is to try and convince them to go and
watch the film by showing them different parts
of the film. It has many visual affects in the
trailer the capes in the trailer that batman and
superman wear as well as cyborg are CGI which
makes it look futuristic and more cool. A lot of
the ships and the scenery in the film is going to
be cgi however the cgi looks amazing so it
makes it look more efficient in the type of film
that it is. There is going to be fire and explosion
affects in the film this is shown I the trailer this
is to add the affect of an action film that’s going
to be very popular and appealing to the target
audience. The effect that the iconography has
is that it makes the viewer fell nostalgic as it
involves lots of visual imagery in the trailer for
how the film could possibly turn out when it
comes out.
Music
The music that is put in this is rock and roll
but starts off slow tis links to the classic
animations that started in 1999 there was 2
series of justice league and it was followed
with two series from justice league unlimited.
The original had a slow tune which is like the
one in the trailer and then the unlimited
follow up had a rock and roll .
Lighting
The lighting changes throughout the trailer to
different atmospheres. Its switches from dark
to light a lot but mainly focuses on the dark
lighting to ad to the atmosphere of a dark
movie.
Colour
Each of the charters in the trailer have
different colour schemes, batman has a dark
grey and black colour scheme this fits to his
character and how it should look. The flash
has a different type of look. He has the usual
red and yellow suit but his lightning is blue
when its normally yellow which changes
things in the film and will be interesting to see
the explanation as to why. Cyborg looks like
he normally does in animations which is a
grey with red in the center, wonder women
also has the traditional/original colour that
she normally has and aqua man has had a
change in coloring has he has much more
darker look than the usual bright yellow
which in total fits more with the films colors
which themselves is dark is dark in the film
making the flash stand out because he stands
out.
Fonts
The fonts for the title default stills in the
trailer stand out because they are long
transitions that give the reader time to read
the text on screen and it is split between
different parts of the trailer which follow on
to sentence making the viewer want to watch
till the end to see what its saying.
Company logo iconography
I think that the company logos at the start of the trailer work very well with the dark tone that it has and
this demonstrates the amazing iconography that I had and fits with the amount of style it has to stand
out. The logos in this give me the feeling of nostalgia from the old animations that they had and how it fit
in with the trailer and how it worked in a great way and style. The colour imagery that they have stands
out with the iconography, they are dark with bits of white on the warner bros logo and the dc logo as well
as the Rat Pac logo which are the three main company's that has gone into production with this film and I
love the films cinematography and the way that each scene sits together but the company logos is a style
that states to the viewer how much pride they take in the making of the films and how they want there
company logos to renowned as the ones that made these specific films and they want to make it known.
Composition
The way that this trailer is made up and put together is by choosing a dark toned imagery style to start
with and then shows it getting brighter at the end but then going dark again the clips have been put
together in this style I believe so that it represents how the film is going to go in terms of composition,
the idea that it is going to start dark get to a lighter tone of film and then change into a dark tone of
film. This is good composition because the trailer represents the film in how it was to put together
which I think works very well.
Audience appeal
I think that the audience appeal is great because it really represents the terms of how it used to be in
the original and the idea that it is going back to its routs with the original justice league animation
because this way it fits into the original and a lot of the fans and the audience that it is going to be
appealing to is focused around the justice league animation and this alone gives it a good starting
audience in order to appeal to it and if it sticks to the same animations as the audience will be happy
with the film but I think that it does need adjusting to fit the real world more as that is where it is set
and then from there they will be able to improve on it much more and appeal to a bigger audience.
Justice league itself will interest a large audience for people that haven't seen the animations because
it has wonder women with a recent film that was a huge success and the best lone selling super heroes
trilogy with the dark knight which is also the highest rated overall by Christopher Nolan as well as one
of the most famous heroes superman and the flash from the TV series and others, this will appeal to a
large audience due to the amount of characters that are renowned and have such a big fan base
making it a highly anticipated block buster.
Location
The location that this is set in changes throughout it has metropolis because this is essential as its
superman's city which is renowned for years as his city that he protects with his life. It also contains
Gotham the renowned city of batman which is across the river from metropolis putting these two
heroes together. Atlantis is another city that is used in the trailer and this is a renowned mythical
underwater city and also it’s a home of the dc hero aqua man who is also in the trailer. Another
location is themeskera which is the home of wonder women and has already been shown on wonder
women the film. The other locations on the trailer other than the bat cave which is in Gotham under
brace Wayne/ Batman's house but the other locations arte unknown.

The Shining
Angle
On the back of the dvd cover the angle is a straight view of
different images that stand out and make it appeal to the
audience all the images on the back are zoomed in of
different things in the movie in order to advertise the
different types of scenery that will be included in the film
and the images show a lot about the genre of film on the
back as it shows them scared terrified and the main
antagonist happy, it also shows the different characters that
will be in the film. On the front of the cover it is a image of
the main antagonists face on a zoom in shot and is also a
shot of the most iconic scene in the film that is renowned in
thrillers.
The product
This is dvd cover of the film the shining which is a renowned
horror and thriller about a family that move into the hotel
for the husbands job and end up discovering different things
with a amazing plot twist at the end of it that is renowned
and has caught the eyes of many who has watched it and
the reason that I am looking at this product I because for my
trailer I will be making a dvd cover to go with and I would
like to look into famous films like this and see the different
styles of dvd covers that they have used.
Composition
For a pre 90s classic the box cover is able to shows the
different things about the film and give credit to the people
who made the film as well as those who stared in it good
credit, this is a type of dvd cover that I would try and make
my product look like as it stands out well and shows off the
different parts of the film and is definitely something that I
will take inspiration from it. It is clear that there has been
good preparation into making this product and this means
that I shall be taking inspiration from the cover and also the
composition.
Post production
I believe that the post production in this cover was done
well as it seems that the way that the cover is set out has
taken lots of thought and has been made well and designed
to fit its criteria and shows off what type of film it is and the
genre making it a great cover for its time period and shows
off the thought that went into making it before it came out
and the different company's that went into making that it
was a high budget film for its time period.
Lighting
The lighting in this product differs and varies, on the back
page where the images linking into the fil are there are
different types of lighting, on the first image it is dark with
barley any light showing that it is going to be a dark scene
where as on the second picture has all light in the
background showing that the character that it is
surrounding is a good character, on the third its all dark
showing that it is going to be a dark scene and the
character on it is suffering as he is screaming in the image,
on the image next to him there is a building with light
around it showing that this will be a happy scene in the
film and the final two images are of the characters in the
first two and is all dark around them showing that they
are going to be dark scenes this also shows that the film
its self will be very dark with little light in it.
Location
The location of this will be set in a hotel that is left alone
in the winter and has caretaker come over with his family
to watch it while people are on winter break and this
family is unable to leave due to the huge amounts of
snow that surround it, in this hotel there is the rooms that
people stop in and a bar as well as reception desk,
kitchen, ball room and a restaurant. These locations are
used at different points in the film and some are shown
on the back of the cover of this dvd cover.
Fonts
The fonts used in this are big and bold to stand out for the
title however when it comes to the synopsis on the back
and the type up of the different cast and production
company it’s a very small creepy font in order to fit on the
page and also to fit the genre of the film the logos are big
and bold fonts this makes them stand out well on the
page. The main font stands out well and shows that it’s a
horror film by its colour on the title and how the starts off
small and then when it gets to the name it goes big
showing the teqnique to make it stand out more which
appeals to audiences and makes them want to buy it and
then watch it.
Effects
This cover creates a dark gritty and creepy affect which
will appeal to its target audience.
Audience appeal
This able to appeal to the audience really well because it stands out and makes it
apparent that it’s a horror/ thriller film which appeals to this audience, the film
itself is based off a famous horror book that is renowned and loved and so the film
will appeal to the audience that has read the book as it would be a live action
interpretation of a book that like reading, this appeals to that audience. Another
audience appeal is just the casual audience in general for horror and thriller films as
it shows off the different parts of the film and how it fits into the genre it also has
the fact that it has synopsis on the cover which will allow the audience to read
about the basic plot of the film and see if they fancy giving it a watch and therefore
appealing to them . It also has pictures on the back cover which shows the different
parts of it and appeals to the audience as it gives them a visual glimpse of what sort
of scenes they will be watching in the film if they choose to get it.
Colour
The colour used in the main cover at the front is mostly black to symbolise how
much of a dark film it is going to be as it shows close to no imagery of light colours
in it even the title which is white has been made to look like a gritty white one that
stands out but also looks creepy and dark which matches in with the font. The
other colour on the front of the page is red which is imagery for blood showing
that it is going to be a grousem film with gore and violence although dark is the
dominating colour it shows that it is mainly going to be a dark film if anything the
cover consists of these 3 colours and has no others trying to show that these are
the only types of colours that represent the film showing the audience what they
are getting into when they watch it and th3e colour on the faces is very bland
showing that they are creepy and in shock.
Research Analysis
• What common features do the researched products have?
• A common feature that the posters have is that the fonts are bold and coloured to fit the atmosphere of the film that it is advertising and also stand out on the page which in turn
advertises to the person looking at it and also fits into audience appeal as it is able to appeal to its audience and both of the posters that I have chosen do this really well and it all works
together well. Another common feature that the posters have is that they give of a atmosphere to show the tone of the film that its advertising the dvd cover also does this by showing
it’s a dark themed film with darkness surrounding the box and this all is a common feature that fits into the genre of it well and works to the advantage of the company's that made the
covers and posters for the film. Another common feature in the posters and the dvd cover is that it shows off the main characters from the film on the front of it and this is very important
in advertising a superhero film because it shows the way that they look in it there stance for the film and how they will be in the film which can be made out from the posters for example
Spiderman is layed back meaning hat he is going to be a fun and layed back character and also adding a bit of comedy to his character in a way as well which also is something that works.
Where as on the justice league poster it shows the heroes stood proud and serious showing that its more of a dark and serious film and on the dvd cover it shows the main character with
his head thought a door with a grim as if to say he is psychotic and showing the main character to be weird and unstable giving different hinted and clues off about the character. The
audience appeal is very similar between them as they are films based off novels before hand, Spiderman is based of the comics and novels from years ago created by Stan lee and justice
league is based off the comics and novels from years ago created by various different interpretations of comic creators and the shining was based off the graphic book and the similarity
between these is that they have all now been turned into movies although a difference is the time zones of when they was made and they are years apart from the shining but justice
league and Spiderman come out at the same time in the same year just different months. The angle of them all is similarity they each capture the images of the main characters and
focuses everything around them from shining to justice league to Spiderman and from this it shows all of the characters on the angles and shows them as the main people and describes
through iconography what the feeling of the characters has as it changes the background to all the characters for example the shining is surrounded by darkness and red symbolising a
dark bloody character and then Spiderman is surrounded by brightness and then it symbolises as a bright character and the justice league has mix between all of the characters that are
included as it is a mixed superhero film. The fonts are very similar on the posters and DVD covers because they stand out to a good standard where they symbolise the type of bold film it
is going to be when it is made and can create a good comparison between different aspects of the posters. The trailers all have a release date on them this is so that the people looking at
it are able to see that they have a release date for when it comes out which means they now know when they can go and see it at the cinema.
• What aspects of the research will you include within your on work?
• On my work for my final project the main thing that I will include on my work when I'm done is the company logos for my trailer, I am going to design my own company logos but I think
that it is very important to have these because it shows off that it’s a professional peace of work in the end and fits in with the different parts of the filming and will look good as a trailer,
also music is very important in my trailer but it has to fit the sound as that is crucial, since I am making a horror movie it is important to have it sound like that and is also important.
Another key part of this is that it is important that I include darkness on the company logos on the trailer like there is in the justice league trailer however my one will be creepy as it
provides the horror film trailer feeling to it. From the posters I will have the location as the main setting to this as it is done on the Spiderman poster it shows the scenery of the film and I
don’t want my poster to give away to much of the film. I will take the idea of the fonts from the posters and similar existing products because I think that those are good ideas that I
would like to take onto my final project because it is good and stands out I think tat the idea of a bold title will make a fine edition to my trailer because it stands out as a bold film and in
a way it can stand out from other products of horrors because him going for a more hero themed font separating it which can appeal to the target audience because it sets itself out in a
mysterious way, I like this concept and hope that I will be able to bring this into my final project in the same way that they have in their version of the posters and trailer and DVD cover.
The release date that they have is very important and I want to take this idea for all of my products because its important to announce to the audience when the film is going to be out.
Another thing that I am going to include is the iconography style that they all include with their imagery on photos I want one poster to tell the story of how the film is going to go if
possible and I hope that I will have enough time to make this poster ad complete my work as well as complete my production reflection. I will put a coming soon on the trailer and poster
as well as an age rating and also on the front of the dvd cover as I think its important to inform the audience of the age that they will need to be to go and see the film and the age rating
could be high and unsuitable for the children due to violence and crass content although I do not really intend to include these types of scenes in my trailer its for the film and in the film
their could be these types of scenes in the film its advertising. The company logos are very important as they show the proudness of the company's that have made it and it looks really
cool and this stands out. I think that I would like to include the main character of the film at the front with the scenery in the background because I think that this is important to show
both character symbolism and also setting and location.
Questionnaire Analysis
Audience research
• Observation: In this image I asked people what they thought of the idea of including gore in the film trailer(blood and violence) I did this so that I would be able to see exactly what different people
though about the idea of here being gore in the horror film and I think that it was important to as because people don’t always like to have gore in a horror film because its to violent or people think that its not
necessary if I include it in the questioner then I am now able those how many people think this and improve on it from there and come up with a new plan for what I can include in my film trailer if not gore based
on the majority view of the survey and seeing what different people though and taking there opinions into account. The reason tat I asked if people would like gore in the horror film is because it’s a curtail part of
it. 5 out of 6 people said that they would like gore in the horror and 1 out of the 6 people said that they wouldn’t this shows that the majority of people would like the gore in e horror film however the majority of
people want gore.
• What this says about my audience: after looking t the different opinions of people it shows that there is a clear majority of people that would much rather have gore in the trailer and think that
it is necessary to have and include gore in the trailer I think that this is a good idea because more people want it in the trailer. Overall the trailer is going to be violent and include dark humour. The review of the
survey says that I have 5 people saying that they would like gore in the horror film trailer the reason for this is because I think that it’s a normal thing to have some gore in a violent horror film trailer or to show a
bit in order to show the type of horror that is going to be included in it. One person thought that there shouldn’t be any gore in the trailer which means that overall there I 1/6th that think that there shouldn't’t be
any gore in the trailer but there is 5/6th that think that there should be meaning that more of them think that there should be more by a large amount.
• How will your product appeal to this audience:In my final trailer I will make changes based on the feedback that I have received in this survey and I think that the main thing that I am
going to change will be the amount of violence that I was going to originally include In the trailer I am going to make sure to include some because originally it was going o have a in bit of gore but I have decided to
change it as it seems that there should be more gore in the horror and it as to be clear that there is gore in the horror trailer.
Audience research
• Observation: all together I asked 6 people if they wanted or liked the idea of people dying in the trailer the reason that I did his is because I thought it would be a good idea to see if
people wanted a easer of what the death scenes would be like in a actual film and give them a glimpse of it and all together 2 out of the 6 people that I asked did not like the idea of
people dying in the trailer and didn’t think that it was necessary for them to killed in it or to have any death scenes however 4 out of the 6 people which is the majority would prefer there
to be death scenes in the trailer and do think that it would be a good idea to have them in it. Overall I conclude that more people want there to be a death scene in the trailer and less
people don’t want there to be.
• What this says about my audience:This tells me that my audience that I asked in the survey has mixed Reponses to the question 4 of the people as 4 of the people want
people to die in the trailer, this also shows me that my audience expects people to die in a horror trailer as if its an incredibly essential part of a horror film that people need to die in it
but 2 people think that people dying in the trailer is not necessary and do not think that it is need, this says a lot about my audience it tells me that for the majority their should be some
death but I can now meet people half way and although that I will include death I'm not going to include to much death.
• How will your product appeal to this audience: my product will appeal to this audience because I am not going to be including lots of death in it and I will have 1
possible death scene and this will then include a death scene that is a small one and only one so that I am able to meet my audience half way.
Audience research
• Observation: more people like the idea of clowns in a horror trailer than those that don’t it is important to have a clown in a horror like this as there are lots of people that have
fears of clowns and to play on this in a horror trailer like so many do could be good for fear and it would appear that my audience is interested in this concept and idea but one person
out five want the trailer not to have a clown included in it.
• What this says about my audience: this tells me that the majority of my audience is interested by the prospect of clowns in the trailer and feel like it is a necessity
to have them in because of the creepiness that they bring to horror films however 1 person out of the fives feels differently this demonstrates to me that my audience have very similar
views on clowns been in the trailer and like the idea of it where as a small percentage does not.
• How will your product appeal to this audience: by trying to include a clown at some point in the trailer and giving them what the majority of
people want but also to try and appeal the best that I can to the one person and possible small majority of people that that person represents I would try to only have
a clown in it for a short amount if time to try and appeal to both sides of my audience and try and keep them both happy with the trailer.
Audience research
• Observation: most people do not expect the main characters to be teens in my trailer. From what I can observe it is only 4 people that would expect there to be teens in my horror
movie trailer where as the other 2 people would expect there to be teens in the trailer and I think that this can be seen as a typical thing to have teens in horrors and it would appear that
the majority of people do not want that and want to see something different.
• What this says about my audience: this says that my audience want something different and do not expect them to be teenagers on my trailer. As teens are used in lots
and lots of horrors its seen as a stereo typical thing and idea that is used and it mainly appeals to the teen audience and I am asking them in this questionnaire and the majority of people
are not interested in the prospect of seeing teens in the trailer where as a third of my audience would expect to see teens in the trailer so although its mixed response it tells me that my
audience wants to see something new rather than another horror focused on teens.
• How will your product appeal to this audience: it will appeal to my audience because I will try and aim the main characters in my trailer to be people of older age
but I will also include one teen in order to keep the small majority on the other side of the survey happy but this will not be amin role but a small one so that I am mainly able t keep the
majority of people happy.
Audience research
• Observation: there is a equal response for the amount of people that want there to be action and don’t showing that there is no way to really please this audience. It is an even
split on what people want as half want action and half of the people don’t they might want it to be more of a film trailer based on story with the even split it makes it difficult to come up
with a solution that is able to keep both sides happy.
• What this says about my audience: that there is a mixed response half of them want one thing and the other half don’t this shows that there is a even majority in my
audience that like action and think it would be a interesting prospect to see some action in a horror film and the other 50% of people would prefer to just see a traditional horror film with
nothing that fancy.
• How will your product appeal to this audience:I think that it would be difficult to appeal to this audience given the mixed reviews. But I think it is doable if I have
half of the trailer with action or half of the trailer with story representing the mixed views this should keep the audiences happy when they see the trailer in doing this is am appeling to
both sides which is important and when making the final project I need to make sure that I do that to a good standard.
Audience research
• Observation: most people like the idea of having jump scares in the trailer and this way I will be able to appeal to this target audience. The reason that I will be able to appeal to
them is because I intend to have jump scares anyway but the small majority doesn’t want jump scares but since a overwhelming amount of people do want to have jump scares it seems
clear to have them in it. I think that the reason that they want jump scares is because of the thrill that it brings and this is always an important factor when making a horror or a thriller.
• What this says about my audience: that they like the idea of jump scares in a trailer. And the majority of them must be the type of phycographic to watch a trailer for a
horror and get intrigued in watching it because of the creepy jump scares within it and this can be the start of good audience appeal and a good film that people love.
• How will your product appeal to this audience: it will appeal because I will include jump scares on my trailer so that it is giving the people that answered my survey
what they want. And for the small majority of people that did not want jump scares I will appeal to them by not including jump scares all the way through the film trailer and having a mix
and making sure that it tells the story well because that is also another important factor to take into account and this should overall appeal to the majority the most but also the minority
in a little way.
Audience research
• Observation: the most choice for this was a concept of reality and my idea for this is to make a it a questionable trailer with different scenes making people think about its reality
where I make it very confusing with no inkling as to what is happening and this leaves the viewer and audience to question what's happening where its set and a lot of the film that do
this and there are only a few films that do are very well known for there confusing plot twists and story's because it confuses the people that watch it. A small majority of people chose a
village and this may be difficult without access to green screen or traveling a long distance but there's always the possibility of setting it there and then a house is what someone else
wanted although this is a good idea its typical of a trailer and the one no one chose which would have been the easiest and most realistic to do showing that expectations are high.
• What this says about my audience: that they are interested in mystery and confusing storylines that gets them thinking bout different things in the trailers. This also tells
me that my audience has a large view on wanting something different and new for a horror trailer and they want a new perspective of setting and to experience something different and
that sets it apart from other horror films, however a majority want it to be set in typical locations for a horror that isn’t really something new.
• How will your product appeal to this audience: my product will appeal because its an interesting concept for a trailer and I am going to try and do the best that I
can to make this different confusing but also enjoyable trailer that people will enjoy and I think that it is perfectly do able if I am given enough time on the trailer and everything goes
right it should be ok but if it goes wrong I have the other options that would keep the minority vote happy if not the majority.
Audience research
• Observation: people like the idea of the trailer being set in the present because its more realistic. 3 of the people chose the idea for it to be set in present day and the other person
wanted it to be set in the past and my response for what time period exactly was set In 2018 to 2019 for the other two which I would class as a present day as it is only a year off present
day to two years so from this I can observe that the majority of people prefer it to be set in present day.
• What this says about my audience: that they prefer for horror films to be a more of a realistic setting in present day than going to the future but instead it would stick in
the past and the present which is what the majority prefers which means it would be set with confirmed history rather than made up events. This tells me that the my audience would
like to have a trailer set in the present for the majority and the minority vote would prefer it as the past setting.
• How will your product appeal to this audience:my product will be set in present day. I think that it would be important to set it in present day not only would it be
easier but it would also add much more of a realistic relatable setting to a horror film which will be good for people to see and enjoy.
Audience research
• Observation:there is a even response to this which shows that people want different things making things difficult to please and giving me one option to choose. It would appear
that half of the people taking my survey want a found footage film like paranormal activity rather than a standard footage like a film that is based around a character that doesn’t know
he is being filmed and is the main part of the movie.
• What this says about my audience: that they have mixed feelings about it this makes it difficult to please them. The fact that there is an even split for this and I can only
choose one or the other to go with for the trailer makes it difficult to please both sides and this tells me that my audiences split review is that some enjoy films that are like paranormal
activity and others don’t think it to be that impressive and want to see a different style of horror
• How will your product appeal to this audience: this will appeal to my audience on the standard footage because I have decided that I am going to do a standard
footage horror film because to many horrors are currently being made to use the found footage type and I think it would be better for me and othe3rs if my trailer was something
different and still contain a good plot to it and cinema graphic.
Audience research
• Observation: there is a majority of people that prefer to have violence in horrors but there is also people who think that mystery is a good option the one other response that I had
was for it to be a horror and mystery film trailer which I think is a nice idea and would help me appeal to both audiences if I was to use this concept. But from this I can observe that 3
people which is the majority prefer violence in a horror film but 2 people prefer mystery and story in a horror where as 1 person would like to have both mystery and horror.
• What this says about my audience: there are a mix of people but the majority say that they prefer violence in the trailer showing that part of my audience are interested
in blood and gore and find that important to have in a horror trailer where as the other half of my audience either want to have a bit of both in the trailer, this shows me that some are
interested in mystery more than violence in a trailer and gives me the idea that there phycographic is around violent films and they have ad ark mind set, where as the other
phycographic of mystery is for people who prefer a good story and a plot twist.
• How will your product appeal to this audience: I will include violence and mystery in my trailer this way I will be able to appeal to both of the audiences however I
will have mostly mystery because a film with just violence isn’t for me and I do not believe that violence is always necessary all the time in a horror and sometimes when film insinuate
violence by other means its creepier and adds better affect so I will mostly be appealing to the mystery audience but also the violence choice of audience.
Interviews
Interview 1
• What type of music do you expect in a horror trailer and why? “Creepy remix of songs/children songs because it would make the trailer feel more
creepy and dark.”
• Do you want violence in the trailer and why? “Yes because it gives more tension to the trailer and makes you fear for the characters”
• What type of dialogue would you expect to hear in it and why? “General narration from the characters and some creepy narration from the narrator”
• Would you expect a dark tone in the trailer and why? “Yes because if it’s a horror film I would expect a dark tone in the film anyway so a dark tone in
the trailer kind of sets up the film for the audience”
• Should the poster and dvd cover match to the trailer and why? “Yes as it’s the same film so I would expect them to be similar by matching them up
there is no false advertisement which is good and improves the set up and layout of the trailer.”
Interview 1
• Observation: the first interview wanted a creepy remix of a song because it makes it seem dark. Its dark mood toned so violence is necessary. The
dialogue that’s used in it is also some dark characters speaking creepy or a narrator that’s speaking in the background and this is a good idea because
it would add to the trailer and make it more scary and improve the trailer atmosphere. The person that I interviewed is also interested in the idea of
having a dark toned horror trailer, I understand that this sounds obvious to make a horror film trailer dark tones but sometimes the best trailers are
ones that are confusing and it would add more depth and mystery to it in my opinion if there was not a dark tone but from another point of viewer I
agree that there should definitely be a dark tone in the trailer and I think that it would be really important to stick to this so that I am able to keep to
same as the other horror film trailers do and not go off on a different type of horror trailer only to find that I my idea that I had doesn’t work, from
this my observation is that my interviewee is one that is interested in a dark toned trailer and likes that idea also has the idea that a narrator as ell as
people speaking dialogue would be good, also that violence is good for the trailer because it adds much more depth to it makes it more interesting to
watch, this gives me an idea of this persons phycographic in films and what type of films they are interested in when they watch a horror. I can also
observe that this interviewee thinks that the poster should be the same as the as the trailer with the same footage as the picture and also that
creepy remixes of possible children songs would fit really good I a horror trailer giving me another look at his type of phycographic.
• What this says about my audience: this says that my audience prefer a dark toned trailer and enjoy to have it in there as to this audience it
seems more appealing. Its also apparent that they would like my trailer to match to the poster and DVD cover as it seems better if all my products
have the same tone and match to one another with a creepy vibe. It also tells me that this person is fascinated by the idea of adding creepy music
into it which would be remixes of children songs to sound dark and tragic which I agree could work quite well wit the trailer and I think that this
person definitely has the right idea for that and this tells me that he has a very dark phycographic when watching horrors as he likes violence and
mystery with creepy affects and for the poster and DVD cover to really match up to the creepiness that he wants the trailer to have and I think that
this is a good thing and that it could work well as it would fit into my ideas for my trailer.
• How will your product appeal to this audience: the character speaking in dialogue on my trailer will be giving information about the trailer
and talking about what its about and it will be dark toned and will fit the criteria of a horror and thriller genre it will also be linked to my poster and
DVD cover. I think that I can appeal to this audience because I am going to try and get my music that I make to be creepy maybe a rendition of a
children's song but if I did this I would need to find someone that cold sing over the top of it in a creepy way, I am going to find someone to narrate
over the top of the trailer so that it adds some in-depth story telling to it or possibly just makes it more creepy and mysterious like on call of duty
zombies when Samantha talks to you I would go for something creepy like that, this way the voice is of a child like he wants and the music matches
but also the narrator is just as creepy which I think appeals to this audience and as I have seen from the survey a majority of people including this
person like the idea of having violence in the trailer so I think that it is now a necessity to include it in the trailer so that I will be able to appeal to
them and this interviewee.
Interview 2
• What type of music do you expect in a horror trailer and why? “28 weeks later soundtrack because its creepy and suspenseful”
• Do you want violence in the trailer and why? “Yes because its sets a creepy and scary atmosphere”
• What type of dialogue would you expect to hear in it and why? “An creepy and raspy voice that’s loud , therefore resulting in the audience becoming
uncomfortable and scared”
• Would you expect a dark tone in the trailer and why? “Yes because it creates a scary atmosphere”
• Should the poster and dvd cover match to the trailer and why? “Yes because it can become relevant to everything”
Interview 2
• Observation: the type of music wanted is suspenseful and creepy they used 28 weeks later as an example of the type of music that they are
wanting form the trailer and I can understand this because that music is renowned for being creepy and suspenseful. This tells me from what I can
observe that my trailer would suit a good 28 weeks later track or something along those lines of that which means when I am making the music for
my trailer I can go along the lines and ideas of a track like that in the background to suit my trailer which I think is a good idea. This person likes the
idea of violence in the trailer because it makes the atmosphere to the trailer creepy and scary which shows me that he is phycographic that is also
dark toned and interested in violence and gore as was the majority of people in survey, I do think that it is a good idea to have violence in the trailer
and since that it is what people are requesting it would make sense to add it in. this interviewee would like the idea of a narrator for dialogue within
the trailer and for the narrator they would expect to hear a dark chilling and creepy voice that would give the audience chills telling me he wants me
to deliver a horror trailer that stands out from others in a creepy way and is like the unique and famous ones that gives people shivers down their
spine. I think that this idea could work very well if I would be able to pull of some dialogue with ability to do that, I would ned to come up with script
that I could use to create a chilling experience, I think that I can observe from my audience that they have a wide range of views on what voices
should sound like and the interviewee wants and experience when watching a horror film. The person that I am interviewing would like a creepy
atmosphere to the trailer and want it dark toned in order to create this creepy atmosphere and I think that the best way to do this is with dark
footage which I can find when I go to film. I can observe that the person that I am interviewing is a dark toned person and that I should add a dark
toned theme into my trailer to create suspense and mystery as well as creepiness. The person that I have interviewed believes that my poster and
DVD cover should be connected exactly to my trailer and should not reveal anything else of the plot but keep it the same because this way they
believe that it makes everything relevant.
• What this says about my audience: this tells me that my audience is a fan of film with music like 28weeks later because it adds suspense and
creepiness to it which I nice feature to have in a film and I think can really work well with the type of film that I am trying to create this tells me that
the phycographic of this person is someone who is possibly a fan of zombie films and dark films with lots of violence which is backed up with the
point that this interviewee believes that there should be violence in a trailer as does the other person that I have interviewed for opinion and also the
majority of people on my survey that I dispatched so it is apparent to me that I need to include violence in the trailer as an essential. It also says that
this audience likes creepy dialogue which shows me that it is important to make sure that the dialogue that I use is fit to creep people out during the
trailer.
• How will your product appeal to this audience: this tells me to appeal to my audience I must use creepy music as both interviewees have
expressed and this music must give people chills which I shall try to do I also need to include violence in the trailer to make sure that I keep the large
majority of people happy, I need to ensure that my DVD cover and poster match my trailer and don’t give anything away in order to appeal to this
audience. And I need to add in a narrators voice where it is clear that the narrator I get is doing a creepy and suspenseful voice that gives the
audience shivers and if I am able to do this is think that It could turn out really great. And the trailer that I make needs to be dark toned in order to
appeal to this audience which I do believe that I can do and this will then appeal to the audience fully if I am able to do all of these things.
Audience Profile
Category Demographic Content to appeal to this audience
Age Range
12+ • The reason that I have chosen this age range is because trailers don’t usually have age ratings but If
I am going to have some gore and violence it does need to have this is it because its important that
younger kids that may be disturbed by the trailer will not watch it. I think that giving it a 12 overall
as the age rating is sufficient I would of gone with the idea of putting it to a 15 but its not going to
be that bad, the content that I have in the trailer Is not much violence but after the research that I
have done and seen trailers with the same type of atmosphere as my trailer has without the not
much violence although they are 12 overall and I think that if I go with the idea that I have where I
add about as much violence in as the women in black has so that I can keep the audiences happy I
think that overall it will turn out to look like a 12. the overall content it will include is dark toned
forest where everything's dark and it will play spooky and creepy, suspenful music which is to keep
the audience happy but this will cause digression for younger viewers under the age of 12 as it may
be to much for them and hopefully give nightmares if I can make it creepy enough. There will be lot
of trees and jump scares as well which is something that most kids under the age of 12 hate when
watching horror films and can end up giving them nightmares. Another option was to make it a 12a
to appeal to kids as an audience for it as long as they had an adult with them to watch it but in the
end I think that a 12 more the sufficient for my horror trailer.
Gender
All • The reason that I have put this is because I appeal to everyone and do not single people out without
meaning to this means I have not offended anyone and also my work will be to appeal to all
genders not a specific one and focus more on physiographic. I do not believe that it is important
which type of gender they are as long as they have the mind set that is for creepy scary and
suspenful films trailers it wont matter I could appeal to the male side by adding a male character or
female character as the main which could also appeal to female gender however I think I am going
to leave the main character a mystery for the trailer which means there will be no need to appeal to
these in that way but just appeal to people because it looks creepy and suspenseful.
Psychographic
The mind set that is interested in horrors
and mystery's as well as action.
• The reason that I have chosen this physiographic is because this is the personality that is into the
type of trailer that I am making therefore will appeal to the people. I think that appealing to this
phycographic is my main basis point in appealing to them as my content will have creepy music
some violence in it which can appeal to them, it contains no humour mainly story and mystery, the
posters match with the DVD cover and the trailer which is important and it is very dark toned and
suspenseful which in my survey is what people wanted from the horror film and I asked people with
this phycographic which means that there view on it means a lot because its there phycographic
that I am aiming for and I have made sure that the content that I have based on the feedback that I
got off them matches to what I am going to be making to ensure that I have the content to appeal
to this specific audience.
Social Status
Higher class
Middle class
Lower class
• The reason that I have done all is because this trailer and product will or would be available for all
people to view and decide what they think of it from that but will not single out a specific class. I
think obviously it maybe difficult for lower class people to watch it but it would be free to watch or
stream if they had computers and middle class I believe is most college students which all have
access to phones and technology so I would say it can definitely appeal to them given the trailer
would be free to watch and I could send it round to see what peoples opinions on it are but middle
class in general would be a good main basis to appeal to and the content I have to appeal to them is
a creepy and scary horror but its dependent on what phycographic they are and whether or not
they actually have any interest in the idea of a horror film trailer.
Research Evaluation
Research Evaluation• Give an overview of how you conducted your research. Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each method
– Product Research
– The product research was very useful as I was able to look at the different products and come to conclusions about what my final product should be and add in different parts of
the products that I researched can be taken and looked at to see what I need completing and this can help me in designing the different part of the product and also the
experiment as I will be able to give different things ago with it. I completed a similar product that was very close to what I want each of the products that I am making to look
like in terms of the trailer and the posters and dvd cover as these are the 3 products that I am intending to make. I think that a major strength of the research is that looking into
the similar existing products is really useful when I can look at the different parts of renowned products like the one that I am going to make I am able to take ideas from it and
then decide on what I am going to improve on from those ideas and come up with some new ideas like the ones that I have studied and decided how I can change them and
look at how each of there different parts such as studio/location, angle, effects, post-production, use of lighting/composition/mise en
scene/costume/props/location/colours/fonts using these as main headings to look into different factors of the work and come up with a pan around tackling each part of my
final project using the ideas that was given to me by this was strength and I think that the audience appeal was important and certainly a strength as it helped me see how the
different products for their genre and backstory and popularity are able to advertise themselves in a way that helps them appeal to the target audience and grabs there
attention is great because its something that after looking into can help me come up with ideas on how I can appeal to my audience by doing the same. Another strength is the
iconography that is used in them, how each image portrays a certain style that links into the story setting or genre and how the set up is able give hints to how the movie will
look and the colour imagery giving hints to what type of a movie they are going to be with light or dark which is good inspiration to take when making my final product. A
weakness of this was how many of them we had to do in the time that we was given as I do not believe that 4 similar existing products was necessary when I got as much
inspiration and ideas from the first 2 similar existing products and I think that the pre 1990s similar existing product was important but the extra one was a weakness because it
took up time and if I am making three final products in total why do I need to look at 4 similar existing products and not 3 I do not think this would have been a problem if I had
more time on it and I blame this on my time management skills on a whole as I do not think that they where sufficient for the first part when having the rest of research to
complete. I found the similar existing products because they are all things that I like and enjoy watching and are what got me into the idea of making a trailer which Is why I
think that it was important for what I chose as my similar existing products to be them.
– Questionnaires
– The questionnaires was reliable feedback that will help me with my final project as it includes important feedback about the different things that I need to include in my work
and people opinions on the options that I gave them in the questionnaire and with the feedback that I got I am able to complete the product to what the majority of people
wanted, I will put my production experiment to be focused around making a product close to what they wanted in the questionnaires. I distributed my questionnaires by email
and messenger so that I could reach out to as any people as possible but I did not post it on Facebook to get as many responses as I could because of an error on my account
settings so I had to send it to people that I know this is a weakness because I did not get mixed responses of people that I didn’t know and also I did not get a large range of
people answering the survey which this something that I would of liked to have but did not get. It is a strength that I was able to asks people different questions related to my
trailer and get there opinion so that I would be able to shape my work around audience appeal and making it so that as many people could enjoy it as possible giving me various
different responses that would in the end make my work something they would like, the strength of this was that I was able to observe what each of the questions had and then
I could see what type of audience and phycographic I was getting responses from for my questionnaire. After this I was able to come up with a plan to shape my final project
with the different ideas of how exactly I would be able to appeal to this audience, this was most certainly a strength because it gave me a basis to go off for planning. A
weakness of this is that I was not able to ask more questions with survey monkey and this is bad because I could of done to go more in depth and get more answers that I could
use to help me with my project.
– Interviews
– The interviews was the same type of feedback that I received from my questionnaire however it was more detailed and I was able to understand much more peoples
information about what they want from the product and then try and focus a production experiment around it but was very good to use and will seriously contribute to how my
final product will turn out at the end of it. Interviews was a strength because I got to ask 2 people in person what they thought would be good ideas with my final project I came
up with 5 questions to ask them and see what they thought and this was better than the survey in one way because I got a much more detailed answer as to why they thought
something and it gave me a much better basis that I could go off and a good reason as to why they answered things giving me more of an understanding to there phycographic
that if I understand and appeal to I can aim for that type In general but also because I was able to ask the questions myself which was a strength because I got to explain the
question and try and get the type of answer that I wanted. A weakness of this is yet again the amount of people I could ask I would of preferred with more time to interview
more people and this way get a better understanding of what they want and expect from my horror trailer and poster and DVD cover.
Research Evaluation
– What sort of a response did you get?
– I got a mix of responses from my research and they was all helpful however I was bale to come to the conclusion that people wanted gore in my trailer but not to much of it this
does make me consider whether or not I do need to include gore in my trailer at all or whether or not it should be mainly a context type trailer and could work well and it works
out well if I don’t as I do have an idea about it that could work as a story where to start with it would have company logos and then would move to other parts of woodlands
area at day time and them some shots of darkness showing that the film Is horror and has dark atmosphere this helped because I was also able to come to the conclusion
because I will be able to make my products with different information for the story and may end up better than I intended and I can also conclude from my research that this
new concept for my trailer might work to what the questionnaires came back as and this is a very good. To start with the responses from my survey where strongly for gore and
violence in horror films and the vast majority of people wanted that idea and was all for it. For the second the majority of people wanted to see people die in it but a few people
didn’t this is a good response because it showed me that I need to have a mixture in order to appeal to my target audience. The third response I got was that people the
majority wanted there to clowns in the trailer but one person didn’t and this showed me that to appeal to one people I would have to include clowns but not to much maybe
just a sneak peak so that you see a clown which appeals to people that wanted there to be clowns but people that didn’t don’t get to see it for long which I think works out well.
My fourth response was mixed and was about the main characters to be teens this is a mixed response as the majority didn’t want teen main charters but still a large
percentage of people did just not the majority. My fifth question was about action in it and this was very mixed because it was a split even response as 50 percent of people
wanted action and 50 percent of people didn’t and my solution to this was to have half action in the trailer if I could and then half story telling. For my sixth question the
majority of people wanted jump scares in the trailer as this is a common thing found in horror trailers and if I am able to put a jump scare in my trailer then I would most
certainly do it. For the seventh question people wanted it to be set in strange and confusing place that I call a concept of reality and this idea was a majority vote to have giving
me a response that meant most people wanted it and only 2 other people wanted different compared to the many who wanted the different concept of reality. My eight
question was about where it should be set and the response I got was that most people wanted it to be in present day which was another majority vote. On the ninth question it
was another split vote evenly between the idea of using standard footage or found footage and I decided to go with standard footage. The final question was for what type of
film people wmnate3d it to be whether it was mysterious or violent and the majority of people said violent but it was one off with one person difference between that and
mystery so decided to split it and a do a part violent and part mysterious film to appeal to both sides.
– How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage
– I distributed my survey by messenger and sent it to other people in a group chat I also sent my questionnaire in email and then sent it to other people by sending it to people by
email. The advantage of this is that it sends it to people that are able to answer the survey increasing the chance of many responses and this is good because it gives me more
feedback to go off and improve on my work with. A disadvantage of this is that it only goes to people that I am sending to how ever due to different personality's I will get
different responses which is good because it provides me with different ideas for my end work however I will not be getting it from a wide variety of people unfortunately. I
created my survey on survey monkey where I gave me the limit of 10 questions which was weakness because I would of liked to ask more, I distributed it to start with through
email and this was a weakness because I didn’t have that many people to ask which was a disadvantage it was also slow to get to some people which was another disadvantage
and it meant that I dint get as many responses as I would of liked. I then copied the link to my phone and sent it to different people I know on messenger and by message adding
it into group chats but this was partly a disadvantage because I didn’t get responses from people I didn’t know which would of given me different reviews and also more people
to take the survey. It was also an advantage because I got to get the survey to people extremely quickly and then got responses from them very quickly and it was also an
advantage because I know that some of the people that I sent it to had different view points to other people on things so I would get mixed responses.

  • 2. Existing Product Angle the angle that is shown in this poster is a neutral view its is a low angle shot and it is being used to represent the power of the heroes showing how the characters would look right in front of you this is good for audience appeal because it shows the person watching it what it would be like to look at then in the film straight up and works really well. I think that it would make the person looking at it interested and wanting to watch it. Post- Production For the post production to this product they took a picture of each character and added it in to a background of sunrise to link into the title of batman vs superman dawn of justice the previous films and then added in the initials of the film in the background this suits the poster and makes it look nice which appeals to the audience and makes them want to watch it and also buy it for the poster. Effects The effects of this poser is that it has lighting at the dawn the reason for this is because it stands out and shines for the picture this helps advertise the film and this helps it stand out. Studio/ location The location of this poster appears to be on a platform of some sort of rock with the sun rising in the background and it is on a mountain as the main characters in the film stand in front of the sunrise, I think that this is interesting and would appeal to the target audience because it advertises the type of location that the film may be set in. this is shown by the various images and posters of the film that the end battle will be set on a desert like platform which could be where the final battle would be set. Audience appeal This poster for the film justice league meets its expectations in appealing to the audience as it contains lots of tiny details that a lot of people would overlook and in doing this when they see the film or understand the Easter egg it will probably intrigue them as they wouldn’t of seen it however comic fans and people who grew up with the cartoon series will notice the hidden details such as batman's symbol, the shape of auqaman trident, the flashes speed force colour and the metal that cyborg is made from. These are things that appeal to an audience of viewers that know what thy are watching and casual fans or just people looking at it will overlook and all of these references have links that appeal to that audience and it also appeals to the casual audience because it shows off the heroes and the light and what type of a film they will be seeing. Fonts The font that is used in this is bold and stands out the reason that this font was used was in order for it to be visible when its posted around in light and easy for people to read so they can see it when they are out if its on a bus stop for example and because the text is big it would be easy to read at first glance. This will appeal to the target audience because it stands out and this helps make them see it and stand out. Composition The poster for this was created well, each part of it was done separately the background will have been designed first and then the images of the characters will have been added in after as well as the title of the poster and what it is advertising which would be the justice league the characters have been placed in a straight line facing out which is a hero pose which links to the fact that it is a super hero movie. costume Each of the characters in this poster is wearing a costume and it is to show that they are super heroes as in the movie, at the front is batman and he is wearing his dark comic like costume design which works very well with the movie as it shows that they are linking back to the comics in the film and its also a link to the animated series of justice league possibly for a plotline or Easter egg that batman is wearing a white simple in the 1999 animated series there was a set of episodes called “justice lords” this link will make a part of the audience that watched this series as kids and grew up with it happy as this is a famous and well renowned episode in the series and I also a link to the game injustice which has millions of players and sales world wide and in story mode to this game he also at some point bares the white symbol. The flash on the far right is wearing his normal red and yellow suit which will keep audiences happy as that sticks to his character and to the comics. Between batman and the flash is aqua man recently he became a desired character in the justice league series so he was added to the film which keeps the audience happy, he has had a big change however in his appearance making him look more fitted for the role on the film, this as an end result has made the audience happy at the prospect of getting a new version of auqaman that has not been seen which to fans of him certainly sell cinema tickets as it has an interesting new prospect. Cyborg is on he left of batman, this character is renowned in the kids cartoons and also comics but has been brought as a character and a member of the justice league in this film (not for the first time) he has also been altered in appearance but slightly to fit the criteria for the film but appeals to a younger audience as they get to see him on the big screen. Finally on the far left is wonder women who is also staring in the solo wonder women film coming out just before justice league and she has an appearance the same as classics just with less colour which also helps meet the needs of the film but interests the audience. Lighting The lighting on this poster symbolises the previous film by showing the light rising from the dawn and the previous film was dawn of justice which is a link saying now that justice league is here dawn has come which will appeal to fans of the last film as a symbolic link showing there's going to be light and the hero's will be the ones that bring it and carry it in the film. Colour The colour imagery in this shows that there is going to be dark and there is going to be light as well as the characters who are wearing distinguishable colours on their costume which makes them stand out and appeal to the audience by being noticeable and like the comics originally sticking to there roots.

Existing Product Angle The angle that this is on is a zoom out shot of Spiderman who is laying down on the side of a lake or fountain this shows that he is the main character as it has him at the front of it showing he is a laid back hero as well by the imagery of the poster to the actual film when it comes out. This will be interesting to see as a film and this poster with the angle makes it intriguing as you want to find out more about the character and why he is so laid back and the angle is positioned to see the sky which is bright showing it’s a bright film and above that the angle shows the new York city from the marvel universe showing that it is a marvel film and is connected to there universe. Post- Production Before this poster was designed its clear that there was a plan and structure around it as it gives off some information in imagery about what the film will be and what it will be like and this is interesting because it shows us that thought does need to go into posters when they are designed to show off different and subliminal aspects of the film itself which is a key part of post production. Effects The affects on this poster are bright and also gives off the affect that it is going to be a bright and light themed film due to the different parts of imagery in the film this is important because it shows the many different effects that the film with have on the audience and also what audience is best fitted for this film as the fact it is a bright poster will catch peoples attention for those who are interested in bright and light themed films and the affect that this has is that it appeals to its target audience by keeping it light themed. Studio/ location The location that this poster is set in, is new York city and is clear that thought went into designing this poster. It is set in the marvel universe as you can see by the way they have put the avengers tower which is off the marvel films and universe showing how linked it is to the marvel cinematic universe. The fact that the tower is in the background is also a link to the target audience as it appeals to fans of these film franchises and is able to grab there attention and make them want to see more of the film from the poster which in turn is what I want to be able to produce in the end of my final project a poster that is eye catching and really grabs the attention of people making them want to watch the film and studio is important for this as it shows the setting and sc3nery of the film which is something that lots of posters will have in order to advertise. Audience appeal This poster appeals to its audience in many different ways, the starting point of this is that its Spiderman on the front, this shows that Spiderman is a layed back character as shown on the poster and is also calm and a typical teenager which headphones on listening to music and a coat on top showing that its trying to fit into a superhero as a certain age and how he works around his different life styles. Another important part is Spiderman's suit which appeals to the audience by the colour and context behind how comically accurate the suit is, especially with his eyes that now move thanks to CGI this really captures the audiences attention in order to appeal to them as it will match the Spiderman from the comics or cartoons they grew up with and is also the first time that Spiderman has had a costume as fictional as this is in live action which also appeals to the audience. Another part of audience appeal is the background as it shows how sunny and bright the film is and with the avengers tower in the background it also shows how linked in it is to the marvel cinematic universe which is very good and ironic and shows off Spiderman to be a hero in this on going series. Colour The colour imagery in this shows that the film in total is going to be happy and bright one there is little darkness in it and mostly bright that and the characters suit is also bright colours instead of a dark red and dark blue like the original Spiderman had on the first three movies this Spiderman has a brighter tone showing that he is likely to be a much brighter Spiderman in colour and attitude. The sky is clear and blue with few clouds showing there is not must mystery but a simple plot and its clear to see and understand what's gong on in the film. The font is also important as it is coloured yellow which is a bright colour that really stands out and shows that its summer feeling which is convenient as it is out at summer which is important. Composition The poster for this was created well and exactly what type of film that you will be watching if you go to see it although the trailers are out and it could prove to be different this poster is meant to show off the character in a bright light and ls to show that there's lots of clear and blue sky's in the film and this is good because it represents the different parts of the film and the different aspects of it and this can then show how it will come together on screen for the poster so in conclusion the composition of the film is very good and shows that its been executed well to give off the impression and cunningness that this poster does and how it all comes together so well in the end for a final result. Lighting The lighting in this is bright and shows that it is a nice relaxed and happy film with darkness under Spiderman it does show that there is a possibility of dark scenes but it ultimately shows the lightings affects on the audiences perception. Fonts The font used in this is bright yellow and serves as summer feel to the release date which is in summer but also it’s a bold and bright font symbolising the atmosphere of the film and it comes together well and works to an advantage of audience appeal in the poster.
  • 4. Existing Product https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cxixDgHUYw – Justice League Trailer Angle In this trailer the angles try and show off in depth footage of the heroes in it side by side showing them to be powerful with heroes shots and this makes it very impressive. Tis uses a heroes shot to portray this image of heroes. Post- Production before this trailer came out there was lots of hype for it as people was waiting and really looking forward to coming out. The reason for this is the history of it with justice leagues renowned animation coming out on November 17th 1999 no the film is coming out in live action on November 17th 2017 and this has made it more and more hyped up because people want to see what they do with it, this is why the trailer had lots of people looking forward to it because more and more people wanted to see it. Lots of time has gone in to making this film and the dceu has been planned for 5 years and now that the film is in production it is looking like its going to be a very popular with the amount of people that will go to see it. Effects The affects this has in it, the affect on the viewer is to try and convince them to go and watch the film by showing them different parts of the film. It has many visual affects in the trailer the capes in the trailer that batman and superman wear as well as cyborg are CGI which makes it look futuristic and more cool. A lot of the ships and the scenery in the film is going to be cgi however the cgi looks amazing so it makes it look more efficient in the type of film that it is. There is going to be fire and explosion affects in the film this is shown I the trailer this is to add the affect of an action film that’s going to be very popular and appealing to the target audience. The effect that the iconography has is that it makes the viewer fell nostalgic as it involves lots of visual imagery in the trailer for how the film could possibly turn out when it comes out. Music The music that is put in this is rock and roll but starts off slow tis links to the classic animations that started in 1999 there was 2 series of justice league and it was followed with two series from justice league unlimited. The original had a slow tune which is like the one in the trailer and then the unlimited follow up had a rock and roll . Lighting The lighting changes throughout the trailer to different atmospheres. Its switches from dark to light a lot but mainly focuses on the dark lighting to ad to the atmosphere of a dark movie. Colour Each of the charters in the trailer have different colour schemes, batman has a dark grey and black colour scheme this fits to his character and how it should look. The flash has a different type of look. He has the usual red and yellow suit but his lightning is blue when its normally yellow which changes things in the film and will be interesting to see the explanation as to why. Cyborg looks like he normally does in animations which is a grey with red in the center, wonder women also has the traditional/original colour that she normally has and aqua man has had a change in coloring has he has much more darker look than the usual bright yellow which in total fits more with the films colors which themselves is dark is dark in the film making the flash stand out because he stands out. Fonts The fonts for the title default stills in the trailer stand out because they are long transitions that give the reader time to read the text on screen and it is split between different parts of the trailer which follow on to sentence making the viewer want to watch till the end to see what its saying. Company logo iconography I think that the company logos at the start of the trailer work very well with the dark tone that it has and this demonstrates the amazing iconography that I had and fits with the amount of style it has to stand out. The logos in this give me the feeling of nostalgia from the old animations that they had and how it fit in with the trailer and how it worked in a great way and style. The colour imagery that they have stands out with the iconography, they are dark with bits of white on the warner bros logo and the dc logo as well as the Rat Pac logo which are the three main company's that has gone into production with this film and I love the films cinematography and the way that each scene sits together but the company logos is a style that states to the viewer how much pride they take in the making of the films and how they want there company logos to renowned as the ones that made these specific films and they want to make it known. Composition The way that this trailer is made up and put together is by choosing a dark toned imagery style to start with and then shows it getting brighter at the end but then going dark again the clips have been put together in this style I believe so that it represents how the film is going to go in terms of composition, the idea that it is going to start dark get to a lighter tone of film and then change into a dark tone of film. This is good composition because the trailer represents the film in how it was to put together which I think works very well. Audience appeal I think that the audience appeal is great because it really represents the terms of how it used to be in the original and the idea that it is going back to its routs with the original justice league animation because this way it fits into the original and a lot of the fans and the audience that it is going to be appealing to is focused around the justice league animation and this alone gives it a good starting audience in order to appeal to it and if it sticks to the same animations as the audience will be happy with the film but I think that it does need adjusting to fit the real world more as that is where it is set and then from there they will be able to improve on it much more and appeal to a bigger audience. Justice league itself will interest a large audience for people that haven't seen the animations because it has wonder women with a recent film that was a huge success and the best lone selling super heroes trilogy with the dark knight which is also the highest rated overall by Christopher Nolan as well as one of the most famous heroes superman and the flash from the TV series and others, this will appeal to a large audience due to the amount of characters that are renowned and have such a big fan base making it a highly anticipated block buster. Location The location that this is set in changes throughout it has metropolis because this is essential as its superman's city which is renowned for years as his city that he protects with his life. It also contains Gotham the renowned city of batman which is across the river from metropolis putting these two heroes together. Atlantis is another city that is used in the trailer and this is a renowned mythical underwater city and also it’s a home of the dc hero aqua man who is also in the trailer. Another location is themeskera which is the home of wonder women and has already been shown on wonder women the film. The other locations on the trailer other than the bat cave which is in Gotham under brace Wayne/ Batman's house but the other locations arte unknown.
  • 5. Existing Product The Shining Angle On the back of the dvd cover the angle is a straight view of different images that stand out and make it appeal to the audience all the images on the back are zoomed in of different things in the movie in order to advertise the different types of scenery that will be included in the film and the images show a lot about the genre of film on the back as it shows them scared terrified and the main antagonist happy, it also shows the different characters that will be in the film. On the front of the cover it is a image of the main antagonists face on a zoom in shot and is also a shot of the most iconic scene in the film that is renowned in thrillers. The product This is dvd cover of the film the shining which is a renowned horror and thriller about a family that move into the hotel for the husbands job and end up discovering different things with a amazing plot twist at the end of it that is renowned and has caught the eyes of many who has watched it and the reason that I am looking at this product I because for my trailer I will be making a dvd cover to go with and I would like to look into famous films like this and see the different styles of dvd covers that they have used. Composition For a pre 90s classic the box cover is able to shows the different things about the film and give credit to the people who made the film as well as those who stared in it good credit, this is a type of dvd cover that I would try and make my product look like as it stands out well and shows off the different parts of the film and is definitely something that I will take inspiration from it. It is clear that there has been good preparation into making this product and this means that I shall be taking inspiration from the cover and also the composition. Post production I believe that the post production in this cover was done well as it seems that the way that the cover is set out has taken lots of thought and has been made well and designed to fit its criteria and shows off what type of film it is and the genre making it a great cover for its time period and shows off the thought that went into making it before it came out and the different company's that went into making that it was a high budget film for its time period. Lighting The lighting in this product differs and varies, on the back page where the images linking into the fil are there are different types of lighting, on the first image it is dark with barley any light showing that it is going to be a dark scene where as on the second picture has all light in the background showing that the character that it is surrounding is a good character, on the third its all dark showing that it is going to be a dark scene and the character on it is suffering as he is screaming in the image, on the image next to him there is a building with light around it showing that this will be a happy scene in the film and the final two images are of the characters in the first two and is all dark around them showing that they are going to be dark scenes this also shows that the film its self will be very dark with little light in it. Location The location of this will be set in a hotel that is left alone in the winter and has caretaker come over with his family to watch it while people are on winter break and this family is unable to leave due to the huge amounts of snow that surround it, in this hotel there is the rooms that people stop in and a bar as well as reception desk, kitchen, ball room and a restaurant. These locations are used at different points in the film and some are shown on the back of the cover of this dvd cover. Fonts The fonts used in this are big and bold to stand out for the title however when it comes to the synopsis on the back and the type up of the different cast and production company it’s a very small creepy font in order to fit on the page and also to fit the genre of the film the logos are big and bold fonts this makes them stand out well on the page. The main font stands out well and shows that it’s a horror film by its colour on the title and how the starts off small and then when it gets to the name it goes big showing the teqnique to make it stand out more which appeals to audiences and makes them want to buy it and then watch it. Effects This cover creates a dark gritty and creepy affect which will appeal to its target audience. Audience appeal This able to appeal to the audience really well because it stands out and makes it apparent that it’s a horror/ thriller film which appeals to this audience, the film itself is based off a famous horror book that is renowned and loved and so the film will appeal to the audience that has read the book as it would be a live action interpretation of a book that like reading, this appeals to that audience. Another audience appeal is just the casual audience in general for horror and thriller films as it shows off the different parts of the film and how it fits into the genre it also has the fact that it has synopsis on the cover which will allow the audience to read about the basic plot of the film and see if they fancy giving it a watch and therefore appealing to them . It also has pictures on the back cover which shows the different parts of it and appeals to the audience as it gives them a visual glimpse of what sort of scenes they will be watching in the film if they choose to get it. Colour The colour used in the main cover at the front is mostly black to symbolise how much of a dark film it is going to be as it shows close to no imagery of light colours in it even the title which is white has been made to look like a gritty white one that stands out but also looks creepy and dark which matches in with the font. The other colour on the front of the page is red which is imagery for blood showing that it is going to be a grousem film with gore and violence although dark is the dominating colour it shows that it is mainly going to be a dark film if anything the cover consists of these 3 colours and has no others trying to show that these are the only types of colours that represent the film showing the audience what they are getting into when they watch it and th3e colour on the faces is very bland showing that they are creepy and in shock.
  • 6. Research Analysis • What common features do the researched products have? • A common feature that the posters have is that the fonts are bold and coloured to fit the atmosphere of the film that it is advertising and also stand out on the page which in turn advertises to the person looking at it and also fits into audience appeal as it is able to appeal to its audience and both of the posters that I have chosen do this really well and it all works together well. Another common feature that the posters have is that they give of a atmosphere to show the tone of the film that its advertising the dvd cover also does this by showing it’s a dark themed film with darkness surrounding the box and this all is a common feature that fits into the genre of it well and works to the advantage of the company's that made the covers and posters for the film. Another common feature in the posters and the dvd cover is that it shows off the main characters from the film on the front of it and this is very important in advertising a superhero film because it shows the way that they look in it there stance for the film and how they will be in the film which can be made out from the posters for example Spiderman is layed back meaning hat he is going to be a fun and layed back character and also adding a bit of comedy to his character in a way as well which also is something that works. Where as on the justice league poster it shows the heroes stood proud and serious showing that its more of a dark and serious film and on the dvd cover it shows the main character with his head thought a door with a grim as if to say he is psychotic and showing the main character to be weird and unstable giving different hinted and clues off about the character. The audience appeal is very similar between them as they are films based off novels before hand, Spiderman is based of the comics and novels from years ago created by Stan lee and justice league is based off the comics and novels from years ago created by various different interpretations of comic creators and the shining was based off the graphic book and the similarity between these is that they have all now been turned into movies although a difference is the time zones of when they was made and they are years apart from the shining but justice league and Spiderman come out at the same time in the same year just different months. The angle of them all is similarity they each capture the images of the main characters and focuses everything around them from shining to justice league to Spiderman and from this it shows all of the characters on the angles and shows them as the main people and describes through iconography what the feeling of the characters has as it changes the background to all the characters for example the shining is surrounded by darkness and red symbolising a dark bloody character and then Spiderman is surrounded by brightness and then it symbolises as a bright character and the justice league has mix between all of the characters that are included as it is a mixed superhero film. The fonts are very similar on the posters and DVD covers because they stand out to a good standard where they symbolise the type of bold film it is going to be when it is made and can create a good comparison between different aspects of the posters. The trailers all have a release date on them this is so that the people looking at it are able to see that they have a release date for when it comes out which means they now know when they can go and see it at the cinema. • What aspects of the research will you include within your on work? • On my work for my final project the main thing that I will include on my work when I'm done is the company logos for my trailer, I am going to design my own company logos but I think that it is very important to have these because it shows off that it’s a professional peace of work in the end and fits in with the different parts of the filming and will look good as a trailer, also music is very important in my trailer but it has to fit the sound as that is crucial, since I am making a horror movie it is important to have it sound like that and is also important. Another key part of this is that it is important that I include darkness on the company logos on the trailer like there is in the justice league trailer however my one will be creepy as it provides the horror film trailer feeling to it. From the posters I will have the location as the main setting to this as it is done on the Spiderman poster it shows the scenery of the film and I don’t want my poster to give away to much of the film. I will take the idea of the fonts from the posters and similar existing products because I think that those are good ideas that I would like to take onto my final project because it is good and stands out I think tat the idea of a bold title will make a fine edition to my trailer because it stands out as a bold film and in a way it can stand out from other products of horrors because him going for a more hero themed font separating it which can appeal to the target audience because it sets itself out in a mysterious way, I like this concept and hope that I will be able to bring this into my final project in the same way that they have in their version of the posters and trailer and DVD cover. The release date that they have is very important and I want to take this idea for all of my products because its important to announce to the audience when the film is going to be out. Another thing that I am going to include is the iconography style that they all include with their imagery on photos I want one poster to tell the story of how the film is going to go if possible and I hope that I will have enough time to make this poster ad complete my work as well as complete my production reflection. I will put a coming soon on the trailer and poster as well as an age rating and also on the front of the dvd cover as I think its important to inform the audience of the age that they will need to be to go and see the film and the age rating could be high and unsuitable for the children due to violence and crass content although I do not really intend to include these types of scenes in my trailer its for the film and in the film their could be these types of scenes in the film its advertising. The company logos are very important as they show the proudness of the company's that have made it and it looks really cool and this stands out. I think that I would like to include the main character of the film at the front with the scenery in the background because I think that this is important to show both character symbolism and also setting and location.
  • 8. Audience research • Observation: In this image I asked people what they thought of the idea of including gore in the film trailer(blood and violence) I did this so that I would be able to see exactly what different people though about the idea of here being gore in the horror film and I think that it was important to as because people don’t always like to have gore in a horror film because its to violent or people think that its not necessary if I include it in the questioner then I am now able those how many people think this and improve on it from there and come up with a new plan for what I can include in my film trailer if not gore based on the majority view of the survey and seeing what different people though and taking there opinions into account. The reason tat I asked if people would like gore in the horror film is because it’s a curtail part of it. 5 out of 6 people said that they would like gore in the horror and 1 out of the 6 people said that they wouldn’t this shows that the majority of people would like the gore in e horror film however the majority of people want gore. • What this says about my audience: after looking t the different opinions of people it shows that there is a clear majority of people that would much rather have gore in the trailer and think that it is necessary to have and include gore in the trailer I think that this is a good idea because more people want it in the trailer. Overall the trailer is going to be violent and include dark humour. The review of the survey says that I have 5 people saying that they would like gore in the horror film trailer the reason for this is because I think that it’s a normal thing to have some gore in a violent horror film trailer or to show a bit in order to show the type of horror that is going to be included in it. One person thought that there shouldn’t be any gore in the trailer which means that overall there I 1/6th that think that there shouldn't’t be any gore in the trailer but there is 5/6th that think that there should be meaning that more of them think that there should be more by a large amount. • How will your product appeal to this audience:In my final trailer I will make changes based on the feedback that I have received in this survey and I think that the main thing that I am going to change will be the amount of violence that I was going to originally include In the trailer I am going to make sure to include some because originally it was going o have a in bit of gore but I have decided to change it as it seems that there should be more gore in the horror and it as to be clear that there is gore in the horror trailer.
  • 9. Audience research • Observation: all together I asked 6 people if they wanted or liked the idea of people dying in the trailer the reason that I did his is because I thought it would be a good idea to see if people wanted a easer of what the death scenes would be like in a actual film and give them a glimpse of it and all together 2 out of the 6 people that I asked did not like the idea of people dying in the trailer and didn’t think that it was necessary for them to killed in it or to have any death scenes however 4 out of the 6 people which is the majority would prefer there to be death scenes in the trailer and do think that it would be a good idea to have them in it. Overall I conclude that more people want there to be a death scene in the trailer and less people don’t want there to be. • What this says about my audience:This tells me that my audience that I asked in the survey has mixed Reponses to the question 4 of the people as 4 of the people want people to die in the trailer, this also shows me that my audience expects people to die in a horror trailer as if its an incredibly essential part of a horror film that people need to die in it but 2 people think that people dying in the trailer is not necessary and do not think that it is need, this says a lot about my audience it tells me that for the majority their should be some death but I can now meet people half way and although that I will include death I'm not going to include to much death. • How will your product appeal to this audience: my product will appeal to this audience because I am not going to be including lots of death in it and I will have 1 possible death scene and this will then include a death scene that is a small one and only one so that I am able to meet my audience half way.
  • 10. Audience research • Observation: more people like the idea of clowns in a horror trailer than those that don’t it is important to have a clown in a horror like this as there are lots of people that have fears of clowns and to play on this in a horror trailer like so many do could be good for fear and it would appear that my audience is interested in this concept and idea but one person out five want the trailer not to have a clown included in it. • What this says about my audience: this tells me that the majority of my audience is interested by the prospect of clowns in the trailer and feel like it is a necessity to have them in because of the creepiness that they bring to horror films however 1 person out of the fives feels differently this demonstrates to me that my audience have very similar views on clowns been in the trailer and like the idea of it where as a small percentage does not. • How will your product appeal to this audience: by trying to include a clown at some point in the trailer and giving them what the majority of people want but also to try and appeal the best that I can to the one person and possible small majority of people that that person represents I would try to only have a clown in it for a short amount if time to try and appeal to both sides of my audience and try and keep them both happy with the trailer.
  • 11. Audience research • Observation: most people do not expect the main characters to be teens in my trailer. From what I can observe it is only 4 people that would expect there to be teens in my horror movie trailer where as the other 2 people would expect there to be teens in the trailer and I think that this can be seen as a typical thing to have teens in horrors and it would appear that the majority of people do not want that and want to see something different. • What this says about my audience: this says that my audience want something different and do not expect them to be teenagers on my trailer. As teens are used in lots and lots of horrors its seen as a stereo typical thing and idea that is used and it mainly appeals to the teen audience and I am asking them in this questionnaire and the majority of people are not interested in the prospect of seeing teens in the trailer where as a third of my audience would expect to see teens in the trailer so although its mixed response it tells me that my audience wants to see something new rather than another horror focused on teens. • How will your product appeal to this audience: it will appeal to my audience because I will try and aim the main characters in my trailer to be people of older age but I will also include one teen in order to keep the small majority on the other side of the survey happy but this will not be amin role but a small one so that I am mainly able t keep the majority of people happy.
  • 12. Audience research • Observation: there is a equal response for the amount of people that want there to be action and don’t showing that there is no way to really please this audience. It is an even split on what people want as half want action and half of the people don’t they might want it to be more of a film trailer based on story with the even split it makes it difficult to come up with a solution that is able to keep both sides happy. • What this says about my audience: that there is a mixed response half of them want one thing and the other half don’t this shows that there is a even majority in my audience that like action and think it would be a interesting prospect to see some action in a horror film and the other 50% of people would prefer to just see a traditional horror film with nothing that fancy. • How will your product appeal to this audience:I think that it would be difficult to appeal to this audience given the mixed reviews. But I think it is doable if I have half of the trailer with action or half of the trailer with story representing the mixed views this should keep the audiences happy when they see the trailer in doing this is am appeling to both sides which is important and when making the final project I need to make sure that I do that to a good standard.
  • 13. Audience research • Observation: most people like the idea of having jump scares in the trailer and this way I will be able to appeal to this target audience. The reason that I will be able to appeal to them is because I intend to have jump scares anyway but the small majority doesn’t want jump scares but since a overwhelming amount of people do want to have jump scares it seems clear to have them in it. I think that the reason that they want jump scares is because of the thrill that it brings and this is always an important factor when making a horror or a thriller. • What this says about my audience: that they like the idea of jump scares in a trailer. And the majority of them must be the type of phycographic to watch a trailer for a horror and get intrigued in watching it because of the creepy jump scares within it and this can be the start of good audience appeal and a good film that people love. • How will your product appeal to this audience: it will appeal because I will include jump scares on my trailer so that it is giving the people that answered my survey what they want. And for the small majority of people that did not want jump scares I will appeal to them by not including jump scares all the way through the film trailer and having a mix and making sure that it tells the story well because that is also another important factor to take into account and this should overall appeal to the majority the most but also the minority in a little way.
  • 14. Audience research • Observation: the most choice for this was a concept of reality and my idea for this is to make a it a questionable trailer with different scenes making people think about its reality where I make it very confusing with no inkling as to what is happening and this leaves the viewer and audience to question what's happening where its set and a lot of the film that do this and there are only a few films that do are very well known for there confusing plot twists and story's because it confuses the people that watch it. A small majority of people chose a village and this may be difficult without access to green screen or traveling a long distance but there's always the possibility of setting it there and then a house is what someone else wanted although this is a good idea its typical of a trailer and the one no one chose which would have been the easiest and most realistic to do showing that expectations are high. • What this says about my audience: that they are interested in mystery and confusing storylines that gets them thinking bout different things in the trailers. This also tells me that my audience has a large view on wanting something different and new for a horror trailer and they want a new perspective of setting and to experience something different and that sets it apart from other horror films, however a majority want it to be set in typical locations for a horror that isn’t really something new. • How will your product appeal to this audience: my product will appeal because its an interesting concept for a trailer and I am going to try and do the best that I can to make this different confusing but also enjoyable trailer that people will enjoy and I think that it is perfectly do able if I am given enough time on the trailer and everything goes right it should be ok but if it goes wrong I have the other options that would keep the minority vote happy if not the majority.

Audience research • Observation: people like the idea of the trailer being set in the present because its more realistic. 3 of the people chose the idea for it to be set in present day and the other person wanted it to be set in the past and my response for what time period exactly was set In 2018 to 2019 for the other two which I would class as a present day as it is only a year off present day to two years so from this I can observe that the majority of people prefer it to be set in present day. • What this says about my audience: that they prefer for horror films to be a more of a realistic setting in present day than going to the future but instead it would stick in the past and the present which is what the majority prefers which means it would be set with confirmed history rather than made up events. This tells me that the my audience would like to have a trailer set in the present for the majority and the minority vote would prefer it as the past setting. • How will your product appeal to this audience:my product will be set in present day. I think that it would be important to set it in present day not only would it be easier but it would also add much more of a realistic relatable setting to a horror film which will be good for people to see and enjoy.
  • 16. Audience research • Observation:there is a even response to this which shows that people want different things making things difficult to please and giving me one option to choose. It would appear that half of the people taking my survey want a found footage film like paranormal activity rather than a standard footage like a film that is based around a character that doesn’t know he is being filmed and is the main part of the movie. • What this says about my audience: that they have mixed feelings about it this makes it difficult to please them. The fact that there is an even split for this and I can only choose one or the other to go with for the trailer makes it difficult to please both sides and this tells me that my audiences split review is that some enjoy films that are like paranormal activity and others don’t think it to be that impressive and want to see a different style of horror • How will your product appeal to this audience: this will appeal to my audience on the standard footage because I have decided that I am going to do a standard footage horror film because to many horrors are currently being made to use the found footage type and I think it would be better for me and othe3rs if my trailer was something different and still contain a good plot to it and cinema graphic.
  • 17. Audience research • Observation: there is a majority of people that prefer to have violence in horrors but there is also people who think that mystery is a good option the one other response that I had was for it to be a horror and mystery film trailer which I think is a nice idea and would help me appeal to both audiences if I was to use this concept. But from this I can observe that 3 people which is the majority prefer violence in a horror film but 2 people prefer mystery and story in a horror where as 1 person would like to have both mystery and horror. • What this says about my audience: there are a mix of people but the majority say that they prefer violence in the trailer showing that part of my audience are interested in blood and gore and find that important to have in a horror trailer where as the other half of my audience either want to have a bit of both in the trailer, this shows me that some are interested in mystery more than violence in a trailer and gives me the idea that there phycographic is around violent films and they have ad ark mind set, where as the other phycographic of mystery is for people who prefer a good story and a plot twist. • How will your product appeal to this audience: I will include violence and mystery in my trailer this way I will be able to appeal to both of the audiences however I will have mostly mystery because a film with just violence isn’t for me and I do not believe that violence is always necessary all the time in a horror and sometimes when film insinuate violence by other means its creepier and adds better affect so I will mostly be appealing to the mystery audience but also the violence choice of audience.
  • 19. Interview 1 • What type of music do you expect in a horror trailer and why? “Creepy remix of songs/children songs because it would make the trailer feel more creepy and dark.” • Do you want violence in the trailer and why? “Yes because it gives more tension to the trailer and makes you fear for the characters” • What type of dialogue would you expect to hear in it and why? “General narration from the characters and some creepy narration from the narrator” • Would you expect a dark tone in the trailer and why? “Yes because if it’s a horror film I would expect a dark tone in the film anyway so a dark tone in the trailer kind of sets up the film for the audience” • Should the poster and dvd cover match to the trailer and why? “Yes as it’s the same film so I would expect them to be similar by matching them up there is no false advertisement which is good and improves the set up and layout of the trailer.”
  • 20. Interview 1 • Observation: the first interview wanted a creepy remix of a song because it makes it seem dark. Its dark mood toned so violence is necessary. The dialogue that’s used in it is also some dark characters speaking creepy or a narrator that’s speaking in the background and this is a good idea because it would add to the trailer and make it more scary and improve the trailer atmosphere. The person that I interviewed is also interested in the idea of having a dark toned horror trailer, I understand that this sounds obvious to make a horror film trailer dark tones but sometimes the best trailers are ones that are confusing and it would add more depth and mystery to it in my opinion if there was not a dark tone but from another point of viewer I agree that there should definitely be a dark tone in the trailer and I think that it would be really important to stick to this so that I am able to keep to same as the other horror film trailers do and not go off on a different type of horror trailer only to find that I my idea that I had doesn’t work, from this my observation is that my interviewee is one that is interested in a dark toned trailer and likes that idea also has the idea that a narrator as ell as people speaking dialogue would be good, also that violence is good for the trailer because it adds much more depth to it makes it more interesting to watch, this gives me an idea of this persons phycographic in films and what type of films they are interested in when they watch a horror. I can also observe that this interviewee thinks that the poster should be the same as the as the trailer with the same footage as the picture and also that creepy remixes of possible children songs would fit really good I a horror trailer giving me another look at his type of phycographic. • What this says about my audience: this says that my audience prefer a dark toned trailer and enjoy to have it in there as to this audience it seems more appealing. Its also apparent that they would like my trailer to match to the poster and DVD cover as it seems better if all my products have the same tone and match to one another with a creepy vibe. It also tells me that this person is fascinated by the idea of adding creepy music into it which would be remixes of children songs to sound dark and tragic which I agree could work quite well wit the trailer and I think that this person definitely has the right idea for that and this tells me that he has a very dark phycographic when watching horrors as he likes violence and mystery with creepy affects and for the poster and DVD cover to really match up to the creepiness that he wants the trailer to have and I think that this is a good thing and that it could work well as it would fit into my ideas for my trailer. • How will your product appeal to this audience: the character speaking in dialogue on my trailer will be giving information about the trailer and talking about what its about and it will be dark toned and will fit the criteria of a horror and thriller genre it will also be linked to my poster and DVD cover. I think that I can appeal to this audience because I am going to try and get my music that I make to be creepy maybe a rendition of a children's song but if I did this I would need to find someone that cold sing over the top of it in a creepy way, I am going to find someone to narrate over the top of the trailer so that it adds some in-depth story telling to it or possibly just makes it more creepy and mysterious like on call of duty zombies when Samantha talks to you I would go for something creepy like that, this way the voice is of a child like he wants and the music matches but also the narrator is just as creepy which I think appeals to this audience and as I have seen from the survey a majority of people including this person like the idea of having violence in the trailer so I think that it is now a necessity to include it in the trailer so that I will be able to appeal to them and this interviewee.
  • 21. Interview 2 • What type of music do you expect in a horror trailer and why? “28 weeks later soundtrack because its creepy and suspenseful” • Do you want violence in the trailer and why? “Yes because its sets a creepy and scary atmosphere” • What type of dialogue would you expect to hear in it and why? “An creepy and raspy voice that’s loud , therefore resulting in the audience becoming uncomfortable and scared” • Would you expect a dark tone in the trailer and why? “Yes because it creates a scary atmosphere” • Should the poster and dvd cover match to the trailer and why? “Yes because it can become relevant to everything”
  • 22. Interview 2 • Observation: the type of music wanted is suspenseful and creepy they used 28 weeks later as an example of the type of music that they are wanting form the trailer and I can understand this because that music is renowned for being creepy and suspenseful. This tells me from what I can observe that my trailer would suit a good 28 weeks later track or something along those lines of that which means when I am making the music for my trailer I can go along the lines and ideas of a track like that in the background to suit my trailer which I think is a good idea. This person likes the idea of violence in the trailer because it makes the atmosphere to the trailer creepy and scary which shows me that he is phycographic that is also dark toned and interested in violence and gore as was the majority of people in survey, I do think that it is a good idea to have violence in the trailer and since that it is what people are requesting it would make sense to add it in. this interviewee would like the idea of a narrator for dialogue within the trailer and for the narrator they would expect to hear a dark chilling and creepy voice that would give the audience chills telling me he wants me to deliver a horror trailer that stands out from others in a creepy way and is like the unique and famous ones that gives people shivers down their spine. I think that this idea could work very well if I would be able to pull of some dialogue with ability to do that, I would ned to come up with script that I could use to create a chilling experience, I think that I can observe from my audience that they have a wide range of views on what voices should sound like and the interviewee wants and experience when watching a horror film. The person that I am interviewing would like a creepy atmosphere to the trailer and want it dark toned in order to create this creepy atmosphere and I think that the best way to do this is with dark footage which I can find when I go to film. I can observe that the person that I am interviewing is a dark toned person and that I should add a dark toned theme into my trailer to create suspense and mystery as well as creepiness. The person that I have interviewed believes that my poster and DVD cover should be connected exactly to my trailer and should not reveal anything else of the plot but keep it the same because this way they believe that it makes everything relevant. • What this says about my audience: this tells me that my audience is a fan of film with music like 28weeks later because it adds suspense and creepiness to it which I nice feature to have in a film and I think can really work well with the type of film that I am trying to create this tells me that the phycographic of this person is someone who is possibly a fan of zombie films and dark films with lots of violence which is backed up with the point that this interviewee believes that there should be violence in a trailer as does the other person that I have interviewed for opinion and also the majority of people on my survey that I dispatched so it is apparent to me that I need to include violence in the trailer as an essential. It also says that this audience likes creepy dialogue which shows me that it is important to make sure that the dialogue that I use is fit to creep people out during the trailer. • How will your product appeal to this audience: this tells me to appeal to my audience I must use creepy music as both interviewees have expressed and this music must give people chills which I shall try to do I also need to include violence in the trailer to make sure that I keep the large majority of people happy, I need to ensure that my DVD cover and poster match my trailer and don’t give anything away in order to appeal to this audience. And I need to add in a narrators voice where it is clear that the narrator I get is doing a creepy and suspenseful voice that gives the audience shivers and if I am able to do this is think that It could turn out really great. And the trailer that I make needs to be dark toned in order to appeal to this audience which I do believe that I can do and this will then appeal to the audience fully if I am able to do all of these things.
  • 23. Audience Profile Category Demographic Content to appeal to this audience Age Range 12+ • The reason that I have chosen this age range is because trailers don’t usually have age ratings but If I am going to have some gore and violence it does need to have this is it because its important that younger kids that may be disturbed by the trailer will not watch it. I think that giving it a 12 overall as the age rating is sufficient I would of gone with the idea of putting it to a 15 but its not going to be that bad, the content that I have in the trailer Is not much violence but after the research that I have done and seen trailers with the same type of atmosphere as my trailer has without the not much violence although they are 12 overall and I think that if I go with the idea that I have where I add about as much violence in as the women in black has so that I can keep the audiences happy I think that overall it will turn out to look like a 12. the overall content it will include is dark toned forest where everything's dark and it will play spooky and creepy, suspenful music which is to keep the audience happy but this will cause digression for younger viewers under the age of 12 as it may be to much for them and hopefully give nightmares if I can make it creepy enough. There will be lot of trees and jump scares as well which is something that most kids under the age of 12 hate when watching horror films and can end up giving them nightmares. Another option was to make it a 12a to appeal to kids as an audience for it as long as they had an adult with them to watch it but in the end I think that a 12 more the sufficient for my horror trailer. Gender All • The reason that I have put this is because I appeal to everyone and do not single people out without meaning to this means I have not offended anyone and also my work will be to appeal to all genders not a specific one and focus more on physiographic. I do not believe that it is important which type of gender they are as long as they have the mind set that is for creepy scary and suspenful films trailers it wont matter I could appeal to the male side by adding a male character or female character as the main which could also appeal to female gender however I think I am going to leave the main character a mystery for the trailer which means there will be no need to appeal to these in that way but just appeal to people because it looks creepy and suspenseful. Psychographic The mind set that is interested in horrors and mystery's as well as action. • The reason that I have chosen this physiographic is because this is the personality that is into the type of trailer that I am making therefore will appeal to the people. I think that appealing to this phycographic is my main basis point in appealing to them as my content will have creepy music some violence in it which can appeal to them, it contains no humour mainly story and mystery, the posters match with the DVD cover and the trailer which is important and it is very dark toned and suspenseful which in my survey is what people wanted from the horror film and I asked people with this phycographic which means that there view on it means a lot because its there phycographic that I am aiming for and I have made sure that the content that I have based on the feedback that I got off them matches to what I am going to be making to ensure that I have the content to appeal to this specific audience. Social Status Higher class Middle class Lower class • The reason that I have done all is because this trailer and product will or would be available for all people to view and decide what they think of it from that but will not single out a specific class. I think obviously it maybe difficult for lower class people to watch it but it would be free to watch or stream if they had computers and middle class I believe is most college students which all have access to phones and technology so I would say it can definitely appeal to them given the trailer would be free to watch and I could send it round to see what peoples opinions on it are but middle class in general would be a good main basis to appeal to and the content I have to appeal to them is a creepy and scary horror but its dependent on what phycographic they are and whether or not they actually have any interest in the idea of a horror film trailer.
  • 25. Research Evaluation• Give an overview of how you conducted your research. Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each method – Product Research – The product research was very useful as I was able to look at the different products and come to conclusions about what my final product should be and add in different parts of the products that I researched can be taken and looked at to see what I need completing and this can help me in designing the different part of the product and also the experiment as I will be able to give different things ago with it. I completed a similar product that was very close to what I want each of the products that I am making to look like in terms of the trailer and the posters and dvd cover as these are the 3 products that I am intending to make. I think that a major strength of the research is that looking into the similar existing products is really useful when I can look at the different parts of renowned products like the one that I am going to make I am able to take ideas from it and then decide on what I am going to improve on from those ideas and come up with some new ideas like the ones that I have studied and decided how I can change them and look at how each of there different parts such as studio/location, angle, effects, post-production, use of lighting/composition/mise en scene/costume/props/location/colours/fonts using these as main headings to look into different factors of the work and come up with a pan around tackling each part of my final project using the ideas that was given to me by this was strength and I think that the audience appeal was important and certainly a strength as it helped me see how the different products for their genre and backstory and popularity are able to advertise themselves in a way that helps them appeal to the target audience and grabs there attention is great because its something that after looking into can help me come up with ideas on how I can appeal to my audience by doing the same. Another strength is the iconography that is used in them, how each image portrays a certain style that links into the story setting or genre and how the set up is able give hints to how the movie will look and the colour imagery giving hints to what type of a movie they are going to be with light or dark which is good inspiration to take when making my final product. A weakness of this was how many of them we had to do in the time that we was given as I do not believe that 4 similar existing products was necessary when I got as much inspiration and ideas from the first 2 similar existing products and I think that the pre 1990s similar existing product was important but the extra one was a weakness because it took up time and if I am making three final products in total why do I need to look at 4 similar existing products and not 3 I do not think this would have been a problem if I had more time on it and I blame this on my time management skills on a whole as I do not think that they where sufficient for the first part when having the rest of research to complete. I found the similar existing products because they are all things that I like and enjoy watching and are what got me into the idea of making a trailer which Is why I think that it was important for what I chose as my similar existing products to be them. – Questionnaires – The questionnaires was reliable feedback that will help me with my final project as it includes important feedback about the different things that I need to include in my work and people opinions on the options that I gave them in the questionnaire and with the feedback that I got I am able to complete the product to what the majority of people wanted, I will put my production experiment to be focused around making a product close to what they wanted in the questionnaires. I distributed my questionnaires by email and messenger so that I could reach out to as any people as possible but I did not post it on Facebook to get as many responses as I could because of an error on my account settings so I had to send it to people that I know this is a weakness because I did not get mixed responses of people that I didn’t know and also I did not get a large range of people answering the survey which this something that I would of liked to have but did not get. It is a strength that I was able to asks people different questions related to my trailer and get there opinion so that I would be able to shape my work around audience appeal and making it so that as many people could enjoy it as possible giving me various different responses that would in the end make my work something they would like, the strength of this was that I was able to observe what each of the questions had and then I could see what type of audience and phycographic I was getting responses from for my questionnaire. After this I was able to come up with a plan to shape my final project with the different ideas of how exactly I would be able to appeal to this audience, this was most certainly a strength because it gave me a basis to go off for planning. A weakness of this is that I was not able to ask more questions with survey monkey and this is bad because I could of done to go more in depth and get more answers that I could use to help me with my project. – Interviews – The interviews was the same type of feedback that I received from my questionnaire however it was more detailed and I was able to understand much more peoples information about what they want from the product and then try and focus a production experiment around it but was very good to use and will seriously contribute to how my final product will turn out at the end of it. Interviews was a strength because I got to ask 2 people in person what they thought would be good ideas with my final project I came up with 5 questions to ask them and see what they thought and this was better than the survey in one way because I got a much more detailed answer as to why they thought something and it gave me a much better basis that I could go off and a good reason as to why they answered things giving me more of an understanding to there phycographic that if I understand and appeal to I can aim for that type In general but also because I was able to ask the questions myself which was a strength because I got to explain the question and try and get the type of answer that I wanted. A weakness of this is yet again the amount of people I could ask I would of preferred with more time to interview more people and this way get a better understanding of what they want and expect from my horror trailer and poster and DVD cover.
  • 26. Research Evaluation – What sort of a response did you get? – I got a mix of responses from my research and they was all helpful however I was bale to come to the conclusion that people wanted gore in my trailer but not to much of it this does make me consider whether or not I do need to include gore in my trailer at all or whether or not it should be mainly a context type trailer and could work well and it works out well if I don’t as I do have an idea about it that could work as a story where to start with it would have company logos and then would move to other parts of woodlands area at day time and them some shots of darkness showing that the film Is horror and has dark atmosphere this helped because I was also able to come to the conclusion because I will be able to make my products with different information for the story and may end up better than I intended and I can also conclude from my research that this new concept for my trailer might work to what the questionnaires came back as and this is a very good. To start with the responses from my survey where strongly for gore and violence in horror films and the vast majority of people wanted that idea and was all for it. For the second the majority of people wanted to see people die in it but a few people didn’t this is a good response because it showed me that I need to have a mixture in order to appeal to my target audience. The third response I got was that people the majority wanted there to clowns in the trailer but one person didn’t and this showed me that to appeal to one people I would have to include clowns but not to much maybe just a sneak peak so that you see a clown which appeals to people that wanted there to be clowns but people that didn’t don’t get to see it for long which I think works out well. My fourth response was mixed and was about the main characters to be teens this is a mixed response as the majority didn’t want teen main charters but still a large percentage of people did just not the majority. My fifth question was about action in it and this was very mixed because it was a split even response as 50 percent of people wanted action and 50 percent of people didn’t and my solution to this was to have half action in the trailer if I could and then half story telling. For my sixth question the majority of people wanted jump scares in the trailer as this is a common thing found in horror trailers and if I am able to put a jump scare in my trailer then I would most certainly do it. For the seventh question people wanted it to be set in strange and confusing place that I call a concept of reality and this idea was a majority vote to have giving me a response that meant most people wanted it and only 2 other people wanted different compared to the many who wanted the different concept of reality. My eight question was about where it should be set and the response I got was that most people wanted it to be in present day which was another majority vote. On the ninth question it was another split vote evenly between the idea of using standard footage or found footage and I decided to go with standard footage. The final question was for what type of film people wmnate3d it to be whether it was mysterious or violent and the majority of people said violent but it was one off with one person difference between that and mystery so decided to split it and a do a part violent and part mysterious film to appeal to both sides. – How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage – I distributed my survey by messenger and sent it to other people in a group chat I also sent my questionnaire in email and then sent it to other people by sending it to people by email. The advantage of this is that it sends it to people that are able to answer the survey increasing the chance of many responses and this is good because it gives me more feedback to go off and improve on my work with. A disadvantage of this is that it only goes to people that I am sending to how ever due to different personality's I will get different responses which is good because it provides me with different ideas for my end work however I will not be getting it from a wide variety of people unfortunately. I created my survey on survey monkey where I gave me the limit of 10 questions which was weakness because I would of liked to ask more, I distributed it to start with through email and this was a weakness because I didn’t have that many people to ask which was a disadvantage it was also slow to get to some people which was another disadvantage and it meant that I dint get as many responses as I would of liked. I then copied the link to my phone and sent it to different people I know on messenger and by message adding it into group chats but this was partly a disadvantage because I didn’t get responses from people I didn’t know which would of given me different reviews and also more people to take the survey. It was also an advantage because I got to get the survey to people extremely quickly and then got responses from them very quickly and it was also an advantage because I know that some of the people that I sent it to had different view points to other people on things so I would get mixed responses.
