usually refers to organized
in outdoor.
 It can be simply
described as experiential
learning in the outdoors.
 The team outdoor
education is widely
used to refer to a
range of organized
activities, which take
place in verity of ways,
predominately outdoor
environment.
Aims of Outdoor Education
Develop a deeper relationship with nature.
Enhance personal and
social development.
Learn how to overcome
adversity and increase
resilience.
 Promote direct learning
 Challenging experience outdoors impacts
powerfully op on a young person’s intellectual,
physical, spiritual, social and moral development.
 It make a positive attitude to education.
 Education becomes enjoyable activity.
 Enhances social development
 Participation in learning time
becomes more.
 Active learning
 Develop communication ,
problem solving and
decision making skills
Curricular Approach in Outdoor Education
A contribution of positive and personal
learning experience in local settings such as
parks and the school yard, where students
can connect their knowledge and skills to their
daily lives.
The more personal children’s experience with
nature. This will aid the development of
children’s environment values which will lead
to environmentally responsible behaviors.
Role of nature in personality of leaner's.
 Physical environment determines the
personality of an individual.
 Environmental factors include land, river, river,
mountain, hills, forests, plain area, atmosphere,
etc.. Which affect the personality to be good or
bad, healthy or week.
All the feelings,
emotions, ideas,
attitudes, habits
and behavior as well
as body structure
is the result of
physical environment
of individual.
Environment affect
the cultural factors.
 Learning depends on the school and social
environment.
 Attitude of learner depends on the environment.
Child who spend more time outdoors make more
friends.
Learning outside improves
attitudes to learning
Creates a more active imagination.
Children are happier than indoor.
Time outside increase focus on tasks.
Improves problem solving skill.
Improves mental wellbeing and self-esteem
Freedom outdoors can reduce aggression.
It reduce obesity.
 Safety and health problem.
 Additional paper work needed.
 Some subject studies have limited scope.
 Weather problem.
 Natural hazards

Outdoor Education - Nurturing through Nature-Role of nature in nurturing personality of learners

  • 2.  Outdoor education usually refers to organized in outdoor.  It can be simply described as experiential learning in the outdoors.  The team outdoor education is widely used to refer to a range of organized activities, which take place in verity of ways, predominately outdoor environment.
  • 3. Aims of Outdoor Education Develop a deeper relationship with nature. Enhance personal and social development. Learn how to overcome adversity and increase resilience.
  • 4.  Promote direct learning  Challenging experience outdoors impacts powerfully op on a young person’s intellectual, physical, spiritual, social and moral development.  It make a positive attitude to education.  Education becomes enjoyable activity.  Enhances social development  Participation in learning time becomes more.  Active learning  Develop communication , problem solving and decision making skills
  • 5. Curricular Approach in Outdoor Education A contribution of positive and personal learning experience in local settings such as parks and the school yard, where students can connect their knowledge and skills to their daily lives. The more personal children’s experience with nature. This will aid the development of children’s environment values which will lead to environmentally responsible behaviors.
  • 6. Role of nature in personality of leaner's.  Physical environment determines the personality of an individual.  Environmental factors include land, river, river, mountain, hills, forests, plain area, atmosphere, etc.. Which affect the personality to be good or bad, healthy or week.
  • 7. All the feelings, emotions, ideas, attitudes, habits and behavior as well as body structure is the result of physical environment of individual. Environment affect the cultural factors.
  • 8.  Learning depends on the school and social environment.  Attitude of learner depends on the environment.
  • 9. Child who spend more time outdoors make more friends. Learning outside improves attitudes to learning Creates a more active imagination. Children are happier than indoor. Time outside increase focus on tasks. Improves problem solving skill. Improves mental wellbeing and self-esteem Freedom outdoors can reduce aggression. It reduce obesity.
  • 10.  Safety and health problem.  Additional paper work needed.  Some subject studies have limited scope.  Weather problem.  Natural hazards
