Management of Adolescent Problems-Role of Teacher
• Teacher must be patient and tactful in all
their dealing with adolescents. The
following points may be helpful to
teachers dealing with the problems of
adolescents:
• A broad-minded approach to the needs
and sympathetic listening to the
problems of adolescent.
• Individual difference of the
adolescents must be appreciated
and opportunities should be
provided according to the talents
and ability.
• Provide suitable environment in
school for physical, emotional as
well as social development.
• Make provision for physical
exercise and physical activities in
school curriculum
• Render proper sex education
• Provide ample opportunities to express their opinions and
consider them with due importance.
• Their emotions should be properly trained and divert the
pent-up emotional energy towards constructive ends.
• They should be provided with varying learning experience
and co-curricular activities.
• Their gregarious instinct has to be satisfied by providing
ample opportunities and encouragement for making
friendship with age mates.
• Provide religious and moral education
• Provide vocational education
• Give them personal, educational and vocational
guidance throughout in his educational life
Educational Planning for Adolescence
• Provide work experience, manual work, physical
training, games, athletics etc for tackling physical
energy of adolescence.
• Extreme imagination can be handled by induce
then to learn literature, music and art.
• The school library and work rooms should be
adequately equipped for the needs of adolescence
• Encourage them to read about great men
of history for tackling hero worship in
them.
• Give great validity for co-curricular
activities.
• Provide activity oriented learning
• The teacher must provide possible
opportunities for self-study and self-
expression – child-centered education
Helping adolescents for better
adjustment

• Providing suitable environment for proper growth
• Rendering proper sex education
• Proper dealing with the adolescents
• Training of emotions and satisfaction of emotional needs
• To take care of special interest of the adolescents
• Providing religious and moral
education
• Provision of vocational education
• Arrange guidance services

Management of Adolescent Problems – Role of Teacher and Helping Adolescents for Better Adjustment

  • 2. Management of Adolescent Problems-Role of Teacher • Teacher must be patient and tactful in all their dealing with adolescents. The following points may be helpful to teachers dealing with the problems of adolescents: • A broad-minded approach to the needs and sympathetic listening to the problems of adolescent.
  • 3. • Individual difference of the adolescents must be appreciated and opportunities should be provided according to the talents and ability. • Provide suitable environment in school for physical, emotional as well as social development. • Make provision for physical exercise and physical activities in school curriculum
  • 4. • Render proper sex education • Provide ample opportunities to express their opinions and consider them with due importance. • Their emotions should be properly trained and divert the pent-up emotional energy towards constructive ends. • They should be provided with varying learning experience and co-curricular activities.
  • 5. • Their gregarious instinct has to be satisfied by providing ample opportunities and encouragement for making friendship with age mates. • Provide religious and moral education • Provide vocational education • Give them personal, educational and vocational guidance throughout in his educational life

Educational Planning for Adolescence • Provide work experience, manual work, physical training, games, athletics etc for tackling physical energy of adolescence. • Extreme imagination can be handled by induce then to learn literature, music and art. • The school library and work rooms should be adequately equipped for the needs of adolescence
  • 7. • Encourage them to read about great men of history for tackling hero worship in them. • Give great validity for co-curricular activities. • Provide activity oriented learning • The teacher must provide possible opportunities for self-study and self- expression – child-centered education
