He is currently a 5th Generation offshore Systems Engineer for KCA Deutag in Angola, where his duties include preventative and reactive maintenance of all electrical, instrumentation and HVAC systems. Previously, he worked as a Senior Electrician for KCA Deutag in the UK and has extensive experience maintaining drilling equipment from manufacturers like National, Maritime Hydraulics, and Varco. He holds an HNC in Mechatronics and various technical certifications.

Experience
Company - KCA Deutag (BBLT Angola)
Period - December 2012 to date.
Position - 5th Generation offshore Systems Engineer
Duties - Preventative and reactive maintenance of all systems, electrical and instrument equipment within
the drilling scope. Calibration, testing and installation of instrumentation.
I am familiar with all systems pertinent to that scope, such as Siemens S7 & Allen Bradley PLCs,
Vacon VFDs, cLink cyber SCADA systems, fibre optic, CCTV and TCP/IP systems.
I am also familiar with HVAC and Drilgas systems.
Maintain critical spares and sourcing/purchase of parts for projects.
The main drill floor equipment I have experience with on this platform are TD (National PS2-
750A), Drawworks (National SSGD-4600-63), and Mud pumps (National 14-P-220). Also a CAT
3516B emergency generator.
As well as fulfilling the systems engineers duties I also stand in for the Senior electrician as and
when required.

Duties - Preventative and reactive maintenance of all electrical and instrument equipment within the
drilling scope. I am familiar with all systems pertinent to that scope, such as Seimens S5,
Mitsubishi PLCs, Bauteil SCRs, GEC Alsthom Gemstart 3, ICIS intelligent motor control, Varco
and Maritime Hydraulics equipment. Liaise with 3rd
party vendors and ensure installation safety
procedures are followed. Perform supervisor stand in duties when required.
The main drill floor equipment I have experience with on this platform is DDM (MH-650-DC-
2M), Drawworks (National 1625E), Mud pumps (National 14-P-200).

Period - August 2005 to April 2006.
Position - Service Engineer (Multi-disciplined).
Duties - To maintain and repair all drilling package equipment supplied by Maritime Hydraulics. This
required mechanical and electrical fault finding and repair on equipment such as Hydraulic and
electrical Derrick Drilling Machines, Pipe handling equipment, Access baskets etc.

Duties - Electrical and instrument instalation, maintenance, calibration and repair of production machinery
