Christian is the author of a horror film called "Die-ary" where he can kill people by writing their deaths in his diary. The film also follows three young adults on a holiday in the woods who will become Christian's next victims. The film takes inspiration from "Cabin in the Woods" for its use of horror tropes like the jock, geek, stoner and innocent characters. 3. INSPIRATION (CABIN IN THE WOODS)
• Cabin in the woods was a great
inspiration to us as a group
because the movie had all the
stereotypes associated with
extreme horrors such as the range
of stereotyped characters: The
jock, the geek, the stoner, the slut
and the innocent one. It was a
perfect example of extreme horror
at its core. We also shared the
resemblance with the movie by
having these stereotypes present
in our movie.

4. TWISTED PICTURES/LIONS GATE
• Twisted Pictures is an American independent production company, mainly
creating films of the horror genre. The company was founded in 2004 by
Evolution Entertainment's Mark Burg, Oren Koules and Gregg Hoffman.
They are known for producing the Saw film series.
• Twisted pictures are renowned for distributing extreme horrors such as
Saw. This would make our media product fit right into the companies line of
fantastic films. They also have a distribution deal with Lionsgate (a North
American entertainment company) which is also an established
entertainment company which would make Twisted Pictures a truly valuable
company to distribute our media product. However they are based in
America which does not suit the target market that we are trying to aim our
media product at.

5. UNIVERSAL STUDIOS
• Universal Studios Inc. (also known as Universal Pictures), is an
American motion picture studio, owned by Comcast, and is one of
the six major movie studios. It is one of the longest-lived motion
picture studios to be located outside of Hollywood. It is a sub division
of American media conglomerate NBCUniversal.
• Universal are also a large corporation indeed and they are a well
know business. They have produced such films as Psycho, Jaws and
Frankenstein. These are legendary horror movies which would make
our media product fit right in. However the company is American
which would not be suitable for our media product because our
product is intended for British viewers.

• Hammer is one of the most well-
known film brands in the UK.
Since its birth in 1934, Hammer
has made over 150 feature films
and it is responsible for the
worldwide smash The Woman
In Black, the critically acclaimed
Let Me In and Wake Wood, and

known for a series of Gothic
"Hammer Horror" films made
from the mid-1950s until the
1970s.
