2. EXCHANGE PT.2 DSUAVES
In our music video our intended purpose and meaning was to influence entertainment and
something different. As we used various locations such as Stratford Olympic park, the car park,
the photography studio, the TV studio etc. Our intended purpose was to inform, and mostly
entertain as the artist is a unique and music influenced person. The meaning of our music video
was almost like an autobiography as the artist is talking about life and what his currently around
him such as girls, his friends and the struggle of living in today’s society. We wanted to create a
unique and diverse atmosphere as many upcoming artists usually have overwhelming music
video. On the other hand our music video had a soft touch but many cuts to make the music
video look different. The atmosphere came across as casual and very relatable to the target
audience as it was a music video which influenced positive vibes. The choices we made during
production is to change various locations. As at the start we thought we could stick to one
location. We decided to still use the photography studio but use various other locations to make
the music video look better with more cuts. We also decided that the artist had a minimum
change of three outfit changes so the music video looks more put together. We also made sure
we had all equipment such as the canon camera, tripod etc. This made us prepare for the music
video shoot. We also made sure we had various different types of shots and we captured various
videos to edit so it would cut smoothly throughout the video. What worked well was the editing
as our first draft we got feedback on how we should include more scenes and more cuts. We
listened to the feedback and done our second edit with more cuts and different types of shots in
different locations. This helped as the music video looked more better also with the added
transitions to make the music video look extra smooth. The style of the music video went well as
we got an authentic look just like how the artist is presented. The style of the music video gives
a cool and calming vibe towards the target audience. The editing techniques was mastered on
our second edit as we knew what we had to improve on. We made sure to look at other music
videos to get ideas and to make our final edit the best it could be. Our areas for improvement
could be the steadiness of the camera, we should have used our tripod in some shots. We also
could of made sure whoever was included in the music video (friends) to concentrate because at
