History :-
John Willard Marriott was the founderer of Marriott Corporation (which became
Marriott International in 1993).
The Marriott company rose from a small root beer stand in Washington D.C in 1927 to
a chain of family restaurants in 1932, to its first motel in 1957.
The firstJW Marriott hotel was the Twin Bridges Motor Hotel, which opened in
Arlington, Virginia, on 1957.
Its Headquarter is at Bethesda, Maryland.
The company is now led by his son, Executive ChairmanBill Marriott and President and
Chief Executive Officer Arne Sorenson.
JW Marriott was ranked 2nd Luxury Brand in the American Customer Satisfaction Index
(ACSI) in both 2014 and 2015.
