Working Title:
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Black Friday manics.
Product’s Purpose:
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this? This product
is for warning people about the dangers of black Friday. We’re doing this by telling our horror
stories of black Friday.
Genre:
What sort of product is it? This product is going to be a podcast about black Friday and what
happens on black Friday.
Content
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
My podcast is going to be about black Friday and what kind of dangers / trouble people get into on
black Friday, we’re also going to be telling our own personal experiences with black Friday.
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person? The age range for my podcast is 16+ just because
if any younger then 16 they would find it quite boring, this podcast is for any gender because most
genders go shopping and like shopping. The social status that this podcast is for is middle class
because black Friday is full of bargains and things are cheap but still high quality. Also, Belongers
will probably listen to this podcast because most people join in with black Friday and it’s something
that’s popular and people from all over the world joins in with black Friday.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include? Probably some swearing and some fighting in
some of the stories we tell.
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it? Yes, because I don’t want them copying the
language, or going out on black Friday and getting hurt.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? It may offend some religions, but I will try my
hardest not to have any offensive situations in my podcast.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? Make sure that we don’t talk about inappropriate
actions and to not talk about sensitive topics that may offend my audience.
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? No apart from the topic which is
black Friday.
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement? No because no podcast I’ve seen uses the topic of black Friday. And we won’t be
talking about similar topics that usual podcasts talk about.
