The 1st Primary school of Pyrgos participates in a multilateral Comenius Project, entitled European Friends:Traditional Toys and Games, 2012-1-GB1-COMO6-18389. After each mobility, the pupils of the 1st Primary School of Pyrgos explore the history, geography, culture and cuisine of the chosen country in more detail culminating in a ‘Passport to a Partner’ day event.

6. On Tuesday the 12th, June 2014 the pupils of the 1st Primary
School of Pyrgos gathered in the auditorium of the school to
attend the Passport to the U.K. presentation.
Apollo, the Greek mascot, with the help of Maria, a 5th grader,
was there of course to make the introductions!!!
10. • We visited Ward Green Primary School in
Barnsley and Horizon Community
College.
• Our product was to research and learn
how to play traditional singing games.
• In Greece we did some research and then
played three traditional singing games
for our CD.
• We also provided instructions and lyrics
with basic description of words.

have their specific
uniform for students.
Students are
required to wear the
appropriate uniform
at all times.
We had such a
lovely time in
Barnsley!!
We took part in a
lot of activities
too!!!
14. Barnsley is notable as
a former industrial
town centred on coal
mining.
Pupils at Ward Green
sang for us a very
moving mining song.
