ACTIVITIES DIARY
FOR ERASMUS +
PROJECT
Matti’s diary
A writer came to our school
at the beginning of
February 2017 to show and
to read his fairytale to
pupils of Grade 1. The
fairytale was about an
octopus named Seven,
because it had only seven
tentacles!
Children played with the
writer a scene of the
fairytale!
At the end, octopus
Seven visited
children's classroom
(Grade 1) and that
was a big surprise for
children!
On February 13th pupils of Grade 1 visited Water Museum in
Limassol. Pupils learned how to save water, because in
Cyprus we don't have so much rain and we have to learn to
save water in our homes!
On February 13th pupils of Grade 1 visited Limassol
Gallery and admired Cypriots artists' paintings!
Children had to complete some exercises there
about specific paintings they have already seen.
Hey there!
Today we planted few
flowers in the pots, in
order to make the school
looks more beautiful.
On Monday, 6th of March I
helped the students to bake
burgers. We used only
ingredients come only from
the area. So the meat, the
vegetables and the bread
were really fresh and healthy.
That’s the main reason the
burgers were soooo
delicious!!!!
On Thursday the
9th
of March, I was
with the youngest
students of the
school while they
were planting herbs
for their herb
garden. Check it
out!
On Tuesday March 14th
a
professional photographer
visited our school, during
our art lesson. Along with
the 5th
grade students I
had the chance to learn lots
of thing about the art of
photography. After the
presentation, the students
had the opportunity to
shoot some photos.A collection of old and new cameras
On Thursday March 15th
a famous Cypriot actress
visited our school. She helped
the 3rd grade students to set
a small art performance related
to racism and feelings.
On February 14th pupils of Grade 5 and 6 visited Karmiotissas’
Primary School, where they attended a ceremony dedicated to
missing Cypriots due to the Turkish Invasion of 1974
Students admired
students’ and Cypriots
artists' engravings at
the exhibition hosted
by Karmiotissa’s
Primary School!
Today we had a lot of
fun at school! We all
wore our masks and
crazy hats to celebrate
the beginning of
carnival season in
Limassol!
Look at how much
fun we had! Great
mood and cheerful
atmosphere!
We even played some
well-known traditional
games with the kids!
And we had our
winners, too! Excellent
day…
All the students played
and watched each
other presenting a
different game!
During this day, we
ate delicious
souvlaki, made by
the parents! Yummy!
Presentation of the
book : “Jason and the
gung of the pirates”
by the writer of the
book
The writer read us
sections of her book
dealing with the
serious problem of
bullying…
Students had the
opportunity to play
some “scenes” of the
book’s story! They
did well with acting
as you can see…
Some students
replaced the writer in
reading some pages
of her book to their
fellow students.
Today the students
of Grade 5 were
informed about
adolescence and
healthy living by the
school doctor.
Adolescence is a
sensitive age for
young students with
many changes to
their appearance and
behaviour.
Hey there! Grade 5
learned about tennis
and how to play with
tennis rackets!
Good job kids! Keep
trying!
Squash! What an
exciting sports game!
Students
experienced that
game for their first
time!
Can you see me?
Tae kwon do! A
unique martial art
sport!
Would you like to try
it? Students really did
enjoy it…
Badminton! It’s an
amazing Olympic
sport. How fun it was
for the children!
During break time…
Matti is having fun
during break time with
his new Cypriot friends!
Matti enjoys eating
lunch with his
friends!
Every student wants to
meet him and give him a
hug!
Matti playswith Cypriot
students many games
with ball!
Matti takes part
to every game!
20th of March –Walking with safety in our school area
Today students of
Grade 5 had a
walk around
neighbourhood
with a police
officer!
Students learned
crossing the road
safely and behave
responsibly when
being pedestrians.
What a nice walk
we had around
neighbourhood
with the police
officer!
Safety matters! Be
careful when
crossing streets!
28th of March
