1. Magazine Analysis -1
The Artist being the ‘The Stone Roses’ is using
typography to its advantage to make sure that
the reader catches the name first when first
glancing at it. The colour of the title is yellow and
the colour yellow is seen as being lade back.
This is also referring to the genre of the band,
this being rock.
As you can see in the background it is very
mental and looks like an artist has chucked loads
of green paint on his work place. This could be
representing the mental confusion that is
represented in the genre. I believe that the
lemons are there to represent the members of
the band.
As you can see the ratings from companies like
mojo are like button stuck on to a board. It is also
bring up important information for the customer to
pick up on. For example you an tell its the 20th
anniversary by the button in top left of the
magazine.
All of the information on the poster is very easy to
understand barring the text in the small righting,
this is because they may need to put some legal
parts in there. But the rest of the information is
easy to tell and the message gets across easier
due to the background of the text.
Something very interesting about the text in this
magazine advert is the colour scheme they have
used. In the main text when they are trying to get
information across to the reader we have the
colour red white blue in that order. I believe this
means that it represents the moods they have in
their music. IT also could be because they want it
to pop up to the reader.
