• One who is devoted to learning.
• Who seeks knowledge from their teachers or from
books.
• One who studies in attentive and systematic manner.

• A person who teaches.
• Imparts knowledge or skill.
• Removes the darkness
• Takes the disciples from darkness to light or from ignorance to
knowledge.

Towards Yourself
▪ Be Punctual .
▪ Be in a clean and formal dress.
▪ Be rich in the course/subject contents allotted to you.
▪ Be update in the knowledge of course/subject and current
affairs.
▪ Stay calm when student ask questions.

8. Duties and Responsibilities of a Teacher
Towards Teaching
• Use the modern tools (audio/visual aids)
• Fill up regularly the pedagogy.
• Be polite to the students.
• Be in touch with parents/guardian of the students.
