2. Paraska Khoma
was born on
November 10,
1933 in the
village
Chernyatin
Gorodenka
district of
Ivano-Frankivsk
region

3. She had been drawing from childhood, but the
society recognized her talent only in 1968

4. Paraska Khoma worked in the decorative painting
style. Her paintings are dominated by flower-
vegetative compositions.

5. She combined her
paintings in a
series: “The beauty
of the native land”,
“My earth is
blossoming”,
“Autumn
melodies”.

6. The painting is called "Dahlia”
She painted it in 1969

9. The paintings are on display in museums in Kyiv, Lviv,
Kaniv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Snyatyn, Odessa, and in
collections in Moscow, St. Petersburg, in private
collections in the USA, Canada, Poland, Australia.

10. Paraska Khoma was awarded the Silver Medal
of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine and the
Order of Princess Olga III degree.

11. Last three years of life, Paraska Khoma
almost did not get out of bed, but all the
same painted

12. The prominent Ukrainian artist
died on March 23, 2016
