2. Mikhailo Hlinka
Mykhailo Hlinka was a
Russian composer, the
founder of Russian
composers school.
He was born on the
1-st of July,1804 in the
village of Novospadske
Smolensk district.
3. Hlinka make a big contribution into Russian
classical music. He is the autor of 80 romans,
including:”I remember a wonderful moment“,
“don’t tempt” etc. Hlinka thought that people
create music and composers play it. That’s
why his creations became national songs.
4. M.Hlinka studied in Saint-Petersburg University. In 1847
Hlinka decided to spend winter Smolensk. But invitations
to different balles made the composer upset lid him into
despair and he went abroad. The composer wrote there
symphonic fantasy- “Kamarinska”
5. In this piece work Mikhailo created new types of symphonic
music and laid their further development, showed their mood
and character.
6. After him return, he continued his
activity. Glinka planed to create
national opera, in Russian style. In
1836 the first night of ”Ivan Susanin“-
a national drama about an ordinary
man from the country.In six years
M.Hlinka created his legendary opera
“Ruslan and Ludmila”.
7. The last years of his
life he traveled. His
music was
criticised. His
younger sister
Ludmila
Shestakova helped
him a lot.
Mikhailo Hlinka
died in Berlin 1857.
He was burried
Saint-Peterburg in
Peterburg.
