Overview of the Activity of Bot
LinkedIn Pulse views were increased by 10x from 213 to 2281
views in 5 Hours by utilizing a single BOT

protect user agreement as they detected high traffic from my IP/LinkedIn
Account raising the possibility of a malicious program ( Communication
mails attached )

His recent post has 1.9x sum
of the views of his earlier
posts with BOT 
Analysis
Experiment : To Increase the views on LinkedIn Pulse
Current Observations:
– Views gets increased whenever the Pulse post URL is
been hit
– It is not tied up with the LinkedIn accounts separately
(It gives a possibility to run campaigns)
– IP is surely for security purposes and they also have
login details LinkedIn account through that IP
• Create EC2 server using AWS and create 5 instance (
Its free for an year )
• Create a BOT and make it behave like human to hit
the URL e.g. hitting the URL once or twice an hour or
only being active for 4 to 5 hours a day
• If IP can be changed or rotated around the world or
packet level programming can be embedded into the
code then it can become very effective
Strategy that can be Effective
Possible Drawbacks post experiment
• One can lose his LinkedIn Account
• LinkedIn holds the right to disable the content from being
viewed on Pulse or its platform . It can disable the content
publishing.
• Need to look at User Agreement carefully and design the
same before building platforms
Questions and Learning that I am working on
• There is a question about is it the right way or an ethical way than running
campaigns
• There are some people being made as influencer what’s the strategy they
use ? Are they all ethical ?
• Possible study around the big data analysis of the ratio of views to likes to
comments like we have in email marketing concept
• What could be an effective post on to increase brand or build social profile
utilizing the LinkedIn Pulse
