2. Genre / Title
The magazine will be called UNPLUGGED.
The music genre the magazine will focus on Is mainly rock and metal.
The reason why the magazine will be called UNPLUGGED is because it is
a reference to acoustic music and it refers to a band playing with their
ordinary line up sitting on barstools. The articles in the magazine will be
about upcoming releases, album/gig reviews and issues that affect
young adults
3. Content
The sub-genres that would be included in the magazine are :
• Pop Punk
• J-Rock / J-Metal
• Power Metal
• Alternative
International bands I would like to include are:

• Three Days Grace

British bands I would like to include are:

4. Audience/Publisher
The main audience of the magazine will be males aged 15-24 as they are
the average demographic for music magazines published by Bauer Media.
The magazine will be published by Egmont Publishing as they have a gap in
the market in terms of their magazines for teenagers and adults. The
publisher will also benefit from the magazine as they are able to reach a
wider audience. The magazine will be released bi-weekly and will cost £3 to
make it relatively affordable as 40% of the readers are in the lower-middle or
upper-working class.
5. Distribution
Egmont already has an online presence so the magazine will have a
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and a YouTube Channel. The
magazine will also have a ustream to stream performances,
interviews and gigs.
As well as having a physical edition of the magazine, a digital
version will be available. On each feature article there will be a
playlist of the artist’s songs.

7. Design Features
The font that will be used for the title will be Eras Bold ITC. Arial will be
used for the main body of the articles. Frankin Gothic Demi will be
used for Sub headings.
The colour schemes used are mainly red, grey and black as they are
commonly used colours in the music genre the magazine is focusing
on.
For anniversary issues the color scheme will be different to
differentiate it from the regular issues. The color scheme for the
anniversary issue will be blue, grey and yellow
8. Front Cover
A black background will be used
for the cover image. The shot used
for the cover will be a medium
close-up shot. The model will
preferably be male.
The cover lines will be in red text so
that it is eye catching and it stands
out from the background.
The main coverline will be in white
to differentiate it from the others
as the article linked to it will be
about the model in the cover.
