6. Ammonia Formation
Ammonia formation required 2 Gases Hydrogen And Nitrogen
Nitrogen is obtained from Air but the Hydrogen is in low quantity than another
source is required to obtained Hydrogen that is water and the catalyst use in
the process is iron/chromium

8. Urea Formation
Urea is formed by the combination of ammonia and carbon dioxide at required
temperature and pressure
10. Compressor component and Problems
C2
CO2 compressor C-2 is a six cylinder and five stages enclosed forced lubricated
unit. All stages are double acting. Unlike C-2 where 4th and 5th stages are single
acting.
The compressor has a capacity of around 900 KSCFH when HIC-44EV fully closed
and at the suction condition of 6 psig pressure, 90°F temperature, gas saturated
with water vapor. Fifth discharge pressure is around 2450 psig measure at outlet
of the 5th stage discharge pulsation bottle.
The compressor is suitable for the continuous operation at above mentioned
condition when running at a speed of 273 RPM, and Driven by the synchronous
motor.
14. Uraca Pump
There are seven pump for the ammonia From that two pump are Centrifugal
and 5 are p.d pump the Suction pressure is 300Psi The capacity of C.f is
120GPM Discharge pressure of P.d is 2200-2300PSi . One suction and
Discharge one PSR (Pressure safety relive) line
