Cornea – is the outer layer that protects the
iris and the pupil. It is transparent and shaped
like a dome.
Iris – is the colored part of the eye. Filipinos,
like other Asians, usually have either black or
brown irises. Caucasians often have blue or
green irises.
Pupil – a hole behind the cornea. It appears
black.
Lens – behind the pupil.
Retina – the innermost layer.
Optic nerve – connects the retina to the brain.
