a film in over a billion homes worldwide, having the ability to connect filmmakers and producers with
consumers through hundreds of media platforms. Gravitas was one of the first companies to develop a
global network of digital media platforms and now has relationships with many of the key providers of cable
video on demand VOD being one of them. Nolan Gallagher founded Gravitas Ventures in 2006 . Nolan
believed that Gravitas could ‘build a bridge between filmmakers and consumer friendly technology offerings
'The company releases over 400 new films annually. As technology advances and new distribution
opportunities arise, Gravitas follows this to provide to audiences worldwide. Films which this company has
distributed are ‘The Doll’2017 ‘ The unraveling’2017 and ‘Gilbert’2017.

• A24 would suit our movie, being independent, it would be a cheaper option as appose to a bigger distributor for
Hollywood movies such as Time Warner. A24 is suitable as it doesn't own any subsidiaries and is a small company
to work with, making budget able and effective. It tends to differ from the rest, specialising in all areas of filming
alongside distributing, showing a professional outcome as the founders all have experience and the company has
began to become quite well known, meaning our film will perhaps be viewed more frequently.
• Gravitas Ventures seems to provide many opportunities for our film. This company seems to be a modern
company, having matched the advances in technology, constantly searching for new opportunities in film,
releasing to a variety of platforms and reaching a wide audience. This is an independent film distributor, again
matching our film, being independent. This company doesn't seem to provide as much experience as A24, as it
only specialises in one area of distributing, rather than all processes of film. However this may be an advantage
as we are searching for specifically just a distributor, as we are producing the film ourselves. This company tends
to reach a wider global audience, meaning our product would have more of an advantage to reach a larger
potential.
