2. INTRODUCTION
A working model is to be made in which solar
energy will be used to light a 100W bulb. The
research is being done to show that solar energy
can be the future of the world. If project
becomes successful, it can be implemented on
large scale. Our motto will be to increase the
efficiency of the solar system.
3. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The major problem while using
solar energy is that its efficiency is
only 22% and it is expensive. It is a
limitation and we are planning to
upgrade it by making some
changes in design of solar panel.
4. AIM
The aim is to show that the
efficiency of system running
on solar energy can be
increased.
5. OBJECTIVE
Make changes in design of solar
panel so that maximum sunlight
can be absorbed to improve the
overall efficiency.
6. LIMITATIONS
The efficiency of solar cell is
22% i.e. much of the solar
energy is wasted.
The problem in storage of solar
power is also a big problem.
7. DELIMITATIONS
Solar panels use expensive cell
conductor materials to convert
solar energy to electrical energy
8. METHODOLOGY
Phase 1: Designing
In this phase we will be designing the structure of the
solar panel and making list of all materials required.
The design will then be send to the factory.
Timeline: 1 day
Budget: 1000(INR)
9. Phase 2: Procurement of raw material
The material required are 100w bulb, connecting
wires, solar cells and frame of solar panels.
Timeline: 1-2 days
Budget: 500(INR)
10. Risk & solutions:
The frame of panel may not be of perfect dimensions
as given in the design.
Solar cell may get damaged in transportation.
11. Phase3: Installation
In this phase we will setup the model in the working
conditions.
Timeline:1-2 days
Budget: 200(INR)
12. Phase4: Testing
The analysis of system will be done in this phase. This
phase we will calculate the efficiency of the system. It will
give us insight whether we are successful in increasing the
efficiency of the system
Timeline: 2-3 days
Budget : 500(INR)
