Duties:
 Lead, manage, supervise and coordinate a team of up to 40 trade personnel (direct reports and contractors)
in line with all maintenance requirements, operational controls across workshop and field operations.
 Adhere to, promote and drive all statutory and regulatory OHS&E procedures and guidelines on site.
 Oversee the full repairs and maintenance on all of the following equipment:

 Inspect and evaluate work being performed by personnel and contractors and identify problem areas. Direct
remedial action as required and follow up accordingly.
 Coach, train and mentor new and existing staff along with other maintenance personnel on site.
 Liaise closely with maintenance teams and provide high-level technical advice and guidance as required.
 Review and strive for maximum efficiencies / reliability across all maintenance procedures and processes.
 Contribute to the development of and monitor performance against the department’s annual operating and
capital budgets. Monitor costs, expenses and labour allocations across site operations.
 Liaise between Production/Site Supervisor and all workshop personnel to delegate activities/repairs on
equipment arising from any category “A” or other immediate actions that require attention.
Key Achievements:
 Played a pivotal role in achieving a 500-day LTI free period whilst employed via Macmahons.
 Improved availability on drill fleet from 70% to a constant 90% by implenting a CMMS Controlled
Maintenance Monitoring System.
 Introduced a morale boosting program at Macmahons, which assisted in increasing worker’s productivity.
 Assisted in increasing availability and reliability across mobile plant operations by developing and
implementing new procedures and initiatives on site in line with company guidelines.

Maintenance Supervisor (FIFO) 2006 - Nov 2012
Role Snapshot:
 Hands on contract which provided the opportunity not only to supervise and oversee all maintenance on
mobile equipment but to train and mentor staff through all personal issues they encountered.
Duties:
 Responsible for the management and coordination for a broad range of mobile plant machinery and
equipment on site including:
 Drill rigs (top hammer and Down Hole Hammer), Cubex 1120, 920 & 720, Terex SKS 12,SKS-W Drill tech
D25KS & GD5000.
 Service and support trucks. MACK, HINO, IZUZU.
 All light vehicles including the canters and mini bus.
 All other ancillary equipment that is owned by MBS including the small engines, trailers, workshop
equipment and forklift and lighting plants.
 Ensured that all faults, mechanical hazards, equipment damage, necessary improvements arising from; Pre
starts, Incidents, Hazard reports were captured and actioned in line with internal policies.
 Inspected and evaluated work being performed by personnel and contractors - identified problem areas and
directed remedial action. Coached, trained and mentored staff along with other maintenance personnel.
Key Achievements:
 Implemented CMMS Controlled Maintenance Monitoring System - Set up a time line inspection of start to
finish of how mobile equipment was serviced and put forward several recommendations to move forward
thus implementing savings and increasing availability.
 Hand selected by management team for promotion from Leading Hand to Maintenance Supervisor.
