EMPLOYMENT
09/2007 – Present Multiplex Construction Europe Ltd
Lead Construction Manager: 15 Bishopsgate Project: August 2015 - Present
• Lead the construction team including package, site, H&S and environmental managers and
graduates. Responsible for meeting all planning requirements with local authorities to
allow demolition and construction commencement. Strong relationships formed with TFL
and COL in the process, which have been maintained throughout the project
• Careful management of the client (Tower 42 Partnership) ensuring the Tower and their
entire estate remained in full operation at all times even when sharing their busy service
roads. A mandate of project is to build relationship with the developer with a view to
working together moving forward. Have been central to working towards this goal with
excellent and promising feedback to date
• Responsible for implementing the challenging logistics and traffic management plans with
only one dedicated vehicle entrance and crane. Extremely tight site with the Grade 1 listed
Gibson Hall façade being partly retained and flanking our building to one side, the Tower
over-sailing our building on the other and two further office blocks containing the
remaining adjacent areas of the site. Overall responsible for all temporary works
coordination to facilitate the build within the difficult constraints of site including crane
base, mega gantries, hanging scaffolds and cradles
• Responsible for reporting back to client (monthly reporting) and internally to board on
programme, quality, H&S etc. So far proven track record on present and all previous
projects without exception; completing on time, on budget and without any major incident
Construction Package Manager: 5-7 St. Helen’s Place Project: May 2012 – August 2015
• Responsible for the design coordination and project management of all main sub contracts
including the demolition, substructure, structure, temporary works and now fit out
packages on the £32m 5-7 St. Helens Place project in the City of London. A grade 1 listed
medieval church flank the south of site and live offices to the east and west, making for a
an extremely challenging job – often described by our MD as one of the most complicated
Multiplex have ever built
• Ensuring design has been coordinated and approved amongst the team and consultants in
a timely manner whilst concurrently heavily involved with the successful delivery of the
works on site. This is achieved through careful and continuous planning, monitoring and
communication with the site team and the subcontractor’s project managers
• Execute and lead the design coordination of the project through regular meetings and
workshops with the design team, our consultants and the sub-contractor package
2. management. Also chair weekly progress meetings with the subcontractors to aid control
of ongoing design, current site works, procurement of materials to site, urgent commercial
matters, day to day logistics and any health and safety items
• Headed up and managed the vastly complex temporary works required to retain and dig
under the 1920’s Portland Stone facade, thus allowing the 3 storey basement construction
to take place. As the Temporary Works Coordinator for both this and the 100 Bishopsgate
Project, was also responsible for the successful and safe execution of any none
permanent elements required to build the job, including the facade retention system,
basement propping, party wall restraint and installation of multi staged underpinning
• Entered project into the Ground Engineering awards 2014 for the above works for which
we were commended as finalists
Site Construction Manager: 100 Bishopsgate Project: February 2011 – May 2012
• Site manager on the £430m 100 BG Project during the demolition and Stage 1 construction
phase. Over several months oversaw the fast yet safe demolition of 5 existing buildings
(whilst retaining 1 stone facade). Following this managed the ‘de-risk’ works to complete
the first stage of the project. This included looking after the clearance of all archaeology,
relocating 2 electrical sub-stations, carrying out the bulk excavation of the 2 acre site and
completing the initial piling contract to allow for works to re-start in 2014 without
delay
• Ensured coordination and delivery of all trades once on site in a safe, timely manner and
with control of the budget through a detailed understanding of the sub-contracts enabling
only very minimal variations
• Control of quality by developing inspection and test plans with the sub-contractors
• Third party first point of contact for City of London, building control and project
neighbours
• Considerate Contractor Bronze Award winner 2012
Site Manager: Strata SE1: February 2009 – February 2011
• Joined the project as a site manager for the fit out and cladding of the 43 storey landmark
tower with a build cost of £73m. Later progressed to construction manager of the Pavillion
building, successfully delivering it’s completion on time and on budget. This included
building 9 apartments, a plant room and on the ground floor 2 units for retail usage.
• Following completion worked closely with the client PM to see through the defects liability
period to a stage where BMCE presence was no longer required. This included the
management and close out of several thousand snags and defects
Section Manager: Eden Shopping Centre and Apartments: September 2007 – February 2009
• Initiated with Multiplex at the High Wycombe Town Centre Extension on the graduate
programme. Responsible for the area coordination and construction development of
18 shop units and car park
• Managed the RFI process between consultant and sub- contractor. A ssisted in the
design coordination and review between all disciplines.
• Responsible for de-snagging the entire project to see out the defect liability period. This
involved completing works whilst the centre remained open and careful coordination
without detriment to any of the retailers or in the case of the residential areas, working with
the tenants to ensure end user satisfaction with minimum disruption
