The requirement in this role is to deal mainly with the CDM coordinator and the client in all aspects to in
the build and refurb of this old factory former Rotary power part of bel valves.
The build consists of part demo of the existing factory and to renew new steels and pad foundations
including new concrete retaining wall and new bases for high-tech machines to be installed. New blockwork
thoughout along with extension to existing sub-station.
Also a complete new drainage system and replacement of the roof and external cladding using Kingspan
insulated panels throughout and mini micro
Duties is to order all materials in advance ahead of the programme ensure that the day to day running of the
site is in order with all sub-contractors and direct labour are to work to Architect and engineer drawings.
H&S requirements and RAMS construction phase plan is updated to when required along with permits.
Carried out full site inductions on site and putting together contractors reports for the fortnightly meeting
and chairing all progress meeting with all sub-contractors and client along with CDM.

2. March 2010– June 2013 Denizen Contracts
Senior Site Manager
Projects included the following: Working on a 148-bed hotel (Indigo) in Newcastle Upon Tyne,
refurbishment of former Eagle Star House, which is a 4-Star boutique hotel with a Marco Pierre White
restaurant. I am responsible for all day to day activities, managing all sub contractors from demolition to
final completion. Other responsibilities include dealing with the client, which was Sanguine Hospitality
Group, chairing meetings and ensuring that the project was done to the specific time on budget.
Responsible for ensuring all specific RAMS evaluation reports and all other aspects of health and safety
documents are correct and updated. Controlling the project programme and ensuring that all Sub-
contractors are working to the current drawings and designs, all building control measures are in place
I.e. fire stopping, dealing with the highways and local council for planning applications.
Also assisting the surveying team on percuments.
Hampton by Hilton Sheffield, 170 bed 4 star hotel once the building was the former police headquarters for
South Yorkshire.
The building was transformed into this hotel; duties include day to day running of the site, from start
asbestos removal to final handover, dealing with a more direct with the client and brand.

Project included Newcastle (Premier Inn Hotel extension 32-bed), Ballsall Common (Premier Inn Hotel
extension 50-bed) & Chesterfield North (Premier Inn Hotel extension 27-bed). Responsible for the Site
Manager with a total project valuation of £ 4 Million. Main duties included day-to-day running of building
site, all aspects of health & safety, ordering all buildings materials, chairing meetings, working to
programmes and staff supervision including all sub-contractors. Responsible for ground works, cast slab
floors or block & beam and timber frame erection to final completion. Project also included refurbishments
of existing Premier Inn Hotels. This covered extending current number of bedrooms (bolt-ons) &
conference area. Also Building Premier inn extension in rugby, 42 bed as same spec as above.
Whilst at Speymill, all construction required a ‘can do’ approach to working. This enabled me to effectively
complete all construction work on all projects, keep within budget and motivate building site staff.
April 2004– July 2006 Multibuild

3. Working on an extension on Premier Travel Inn hotels ranging from 22 to 30 bedrooms. Duties include day
to day running of building site such as health & safety, ‘calling off’ materials for the entire project, timber
frame, all aspects of ground works (from design stage to build),ensuring project works according to the
programme spec, liaison with the client and sub contractors and chairing weekly site meetings involve
Whitbread (owner of Premier hotels). Project also included refurbishments of existing Premier Travel Inn
hotels.
May 2002– March 2004 Totty Construction
Site Manager
Projects included the following:
Luxury apartments in Newcastle with total value of £20m. Main duties included running 1 of 3 sections of
104 apartments and 3 penthouses. General Site Management duties included, for construction, curtain
wall, meseck, specialist external wall cladding, some paraton blocks. Other duties included organising
material and trades, line and balance charts, issuing delay, chairing site progress meetings, dealing with all
contractors from M&E, joinery and dry lining to final decorations and handover. Managing quality control.
Ensuring all sub-contractors are working to the current drawings and designs.
Issuing defects and non-conformance notices to the relevant contractors.
January 1999– April 2002 Dean & Bowes

Working on various projects around the UK fitting out JD Wetherspoons pubs. Main duties included project
management, health & safety and recruitment for all sub contractors. The main function of the role was to
ensure that structure of some of the buildings was maintained. I was responsible for ensuring that the
scope of works was carried out as per the specification and dealing directly it the client.

Projects included the following:
This project involved fitting out shop outlets across the country. Duties first and second fix joinery, working
on fast track fit outs to stores including Top Shop, Burtons, Littlewoods and various other high street
names. In this role, I proved to be a competent and loyal employee, which meant that I received a
promotion to become Working Foreman/Supervisor looking after my own jobs.

4. Up to this date, I served my time as joiner with Universal Joineries Newcastle between 1989 and 1993.
Duties included working as a bench hand and working on site. I completed a full 4-year apprenticeship.
